[X] Make him walk the plank, matey. Yaaaaar, shiver me timbers.
You've hijacked this Gaw like a pirate, so time to do what pirates do best, and make your captive walk the plank!
And by that, you mean that you're going to blast him out the airlock with a parachute and life raft.
The walk down the hallway seems like a long one. You can't help but feel like you're walking to an execution, but seeing Sicilia make pirate noises and imitate a hook-hand makes you feel better.
The Zeon commander, whose name you aren't bothering to remember, glances back at the three of you as Lorelei makes him walk forward. She has him at gunpoint, and looks a bit too happy at that.
"Girl," the man stares at Sicilia, "you are from Neo Zeon? Why do you help Londo Bell? They are oppressors just like the Federation!"
Sicilia pauses her pirate impression to shoot the man an almost poisonous glare.
"I don't care if Big Sis is with Londy Bell! She saved me when Neo Zeon abandoned me!" She retorts with the most seriousness you've ever seen out of her, mangling of Londo Bell's name aside, "So I'll stick with Big Sis, even if that does mean I help out Landa Boll!"
He sneers with contempt, before looking at you, "Her education is lacking. I can see why she would support your foolish cause."
Lorelei scoffs as he reaches the airlock, "Yeah, says the loser who still won't admit he lost. Get in there."
The disdain doesn't leave his face even as the three of you back him into the airlock. He must be entirely delusional! Still, he doesn't act as if he's the one being thrown out of a moving plane.
"Know this, children." He tightens the straps on this parachute and grips the bag holding the uninflated raft tightly, "You cannot run from what you-"
The airlock door shuts in his face, having been activated by a very unamused Lorelei.
"I don't know about you," she huffs, "but I can't stand it when adults lecture me."
She hits the control panel again, and you feel the ship jolt a bit as the outer door opens without depressurizing the airlock, undoubtedly causing explosive decompression. Checking the camera feed on the panel confirms that the man is no longer on the ship.
Finally, you allow yourself a sigh of relief.
"Good grief." You shake your head, "How long do you think he'll be tolerated by whoever picks him up?"
"Oh, he probably won't." Your fellow Newtype remarks cheerily, "Won't be picked up, that is. We most likely just killed him."
"We gave him a parachute and a life raft though." Sicilia points out. Lorelei pats her on the head.
"Yes, but we also set him adrift far out at sea," she counters, "without a radio, beacon, food, water… without anything really."
That is true, his chances of survival are pretty slim. You guess… you just didn't want to see him die. It's one thing to kill someone in a firefight, another to just execute them. You couldn't afford to keep him alive, but at the same time…
Well, all you really did was just outsource his death to Exposure… or Sharks.
Honestly, you're surprised the Gaw didn't fall apart when you crashed into its hangar. The whole thing is just held together with hope and prayers.
Still, the fuel stores and weapons aboard were more than enough to make this worth it.
As the Gaw cruises towards the operation area on autopilot, the three of you give your Mobile Suits a quick once-over and arm up.
Lorelei's MP Nu is in pretty good shape, only needing some minor fixes. She's done with that pretty quickly.
The Kehaar II is another story. You obviously don't have time for a full tear-down, but you do as much as you can. You replace burned-out fuses, swap out scorched wiring, weld shut all the micro-tears, and top up your fuel and coolant.
Past that, there isn't anything here that would be considered an upgrade for you. Lorelei, on the other hand…
"I call it the MP Nu-Lorelei Makeshift Special!" She proudly presents her handiwork. You're… impressed?
She loaded it up with a 120mm Machine Gun in each hand, strapped Triple Missile Pods to the legs, and turned the Incom racks into makeshift storage for six Sturm Fausts.
Oh, and she spray painted "Londy Bell" on the front skirt armor.
You've only got one question for her.
"Why?"
She just grins widely. Lorelei is… really weird. You kind of knew that before, but you're only just starting to understand that.
You grip the controls tightly, the rattling of the Gaw piped in by your Gundam's sensors. You're about to fight, again. This time, everyone aside from Londo Bell is the enemy. Who are you going to meet in combat? Federation Newtypes? Zeon Republic? The Sleeves? Are you going to fight people who may otherwise be allies?
You curse Anaheim under your breath. This is all their fault.
"We're in visual range." Lorelei speaks up, "Take a look, Cybele."
You and Sicilia analyze the image that appears as the Gaw's long-range camera feed appears on your screen. There are two Garudas flying parallel a good kilometer apart. The airspace around both is… well, like a kicked hornet's nest. You've only seen footage of that phenomenon, but it's the only way you know how to describe it. Small dots are dancing around each other in angry zipping motions, accompanied by the flash of beam weapons and explosives. It's mayhem…
"Hey, look at that!" Sicilia points at the Garuda on the left. There are some Mobile Suits landed on the top, trying to fend off any challengers to their claim. Their paint job consists of two shades of red and yellow highlights. According to your briefing, that's the "Mafty Navue Erin" group you were supposed to make contact with. At this distance, you can't tell what Mobile Suits they're using, or if they're holding their own.
You nod, "Good eye. We could support them."
Magnifying the view on the other Garuda, you frown. Nobody is landed on it yet, but the large majority of the machines flying around it are Federation MS engaged with Zeon Republic units. The latter would normally be allies, but in this situation you can't be sure. Plus, there are other units mixed in that melee, and you can't identify them at this distance.
"Which Garuda should I tell the Gaw to charge?" Lorelei asks, "Your call, Cybele."
The plan is to have the Gaw get you as close to the battle as possible, and once it's inevitably shot down the two of you surprise the enemy by flying out of the wreckage. That Mafty group might have the situation handled on the left Garuda, or maybe they're in trouble. If they are, you could help turn the tides. If they aren't, you'd just be helping where you aren't needed.
The Garuda on the right looks to be on track to fall to the Federation. You could try intervening there, but there's no guarantee that you can emerge victorious from that fight. But what if your team is over there? Augh… well, you have to decide.
