Random question that just popped into my head: Would someone who had their entire body replaced with Prosthetics/cyborg components (Like the Iron Brotherhood or Nemo) with only their brainstem remaining be more or less susceptible to Originium Infection?
They would be less susceptible, but not immune. Your central nervous system still needs blood to operate, and that's how originium particles generally spread around the body after you breath them in. If you already have originium particles in your blood, then the spread is likely especially if you work in areas with high originium content.

Fun fact: If you'd picked Lech, one of his starting options was Sargon, by the time of Originium Dust.

I had a bit of a scene written in which a Sarkaz mercenary tries to intentionally infect him by stabbing his arm with an Originium pebble like they did with Picale Tulla. Everyone would be worried about him, and Miarow would later try to console him about being Infected. Then he'd would just take off the arm and clean the Originium off it with a rag.

eh.
If it's city level tech then sure, K corp can probably just use some high level nano machine to gather up the particles and make you spit a pill size Orginium ball out.
and you dont even need to be full machine

Think you can release that for the Apocrypha tabs?

[X] Dream of the Light. (Touch that strange presence that has lurked inside your mind for so long. This will have consequences. Permanent consequences.)
-[X] Dream of a White Night. (Yes, we could see the truth. The Abnormalities are no longer abnormal- they are no mere fantasies anymore. They are our truer forms. Restored to being by drawing a little speck of light from our hearts.)

Suddenly I'm glad that the torturing option didn't go through.
Because that will make the situation now very, very awkward.

-[X] Dream of a Screenplay. (This cycle will repeat endlessly until the Seed has germinated. I am the gatekeeper. Who will pay for their sacrifices? Do you know what we've forgotten?)

Unfortunately that would probably only work on the very early stages when its mostly just in the blood, before the growths start actively interfering with (or in some cases mutating) the body and before it gets into the cells of the body, at which point you're just shit outta luck

In terms of cells replacement, the city can literally give you a full body replacement.

One of the character in Ruina got basically pushed to death's door, and their body was destroyed to an unrecognized state. But their brain survived.

Basically, as long as the brain is a-okay, you can literally just yeet your entire body out of the window.

The problem then is that the brain is not in fact okay.
But I'll admit I'm severely sceptical because Oripathy is one of the primary problems of the setting and just "curing" it like that is a cop out of the worst kind.

I don't believe that the world of Arknights got even the left over nails of K-Corp interms of medicine, so you shouldnt worry there.

Diseases in the City is a thing of the past because of how op K-Corp is. The only thing comparable to K-Corp is the light itself.

The discussion really doesn't matter since our main protagonist don't have the ability to recreate it and don't have the stuff in his body for people in this world to recreate it and... The singularity, although wonderful and magical.
The process of creating or maintaining it is often bloody and downright horrifying. So yeah, just forget about it.

Yeah, that girl straight up had their entire body destroyed expect for their head, but because she had insurance, she got a new clone body to replace her smashed-up one. There weren't even any problems except that the insurance was expensive and she had to get a clone body of one of her coworkers instead of her own.

Nah that's perfectly fine. When I thought of an Arknight and Project Moon cross, I also run into the thought of "would Originium be that easy to cure?" But then I remember the primary problems of Arknight and Project Moon's world aren't the same.

If you drop Originium into Project Moon's world the only one who be severely affected by this will be the poor. The rich can just buy the cure.

Considering how strong the Arts of certain Infected can be, it's only a matter of time before the Wings and Fingers start snatching off poor people off the Backstreets for disposable human bombs or deliberately infecting Agents and Taboo Hunters who underperform as a punishment.

R-Corp would have a field fucking day. It's not like the clones will live enough for the downsides of Oripathy to matter, hm?

I've failed to consider that. Not the human bomb thing but it being used as punishment.

I mean to be fair... that's how it is on Terra too for the most part.
True enough.

The city would definitely use it , One as a fucked up drug second as a Way to get you stronger third as some kind of weaponry.
The city people do not care about Safety or durability, they only care about how will it help them to climb the ladder faster and stabler

Yeah, now that those point are raised. Instead of curing it, Fixer can mitigate the detriment (like dying, and the other vary of negative) to gain staffless Art usuage and whatever else they can luckily get. Though I guess that depends on what their Art can do.

I guess the only thing a Fixer really need to worry about is not abuse the staffless Art usuage or else it worsen the Originium.

You will just make a new cycle, use art, go to hospital, get a new arm or something to fix your broken body, Go find job, repeat.
Then when you get tall enough on the ladder, you can get a staff or you can just get a better body, you can get something else then the Arts and you can just throw the old body into the wild and don't even need to care about it anymore.
The worst situation is it getting to the brain because that will be a no return.
At most the big impact will make on the city is district 23 can't just pick someone from the street and kill them for the meat because the meat could be contaminated.
