Hugh's Perfectly Normal Mafia Game Where Nothing Weird Happens Whatsoever

Adhoc vote count started by Wies on Sep 12, 2022 at 4:41 PM, finished with 46 posts and 6 votes.
Hmm, we have currently a problem here to implement Shadell's suggestion. If it is a tie between Walker and No kill, would not according to the rule Walker die?
Tied votes will be resolved as one of the players with the most votes being killed at random.

I hesistate between Ldj and No kill

You don't want to restate your reasoning for why you want to eliminate Walker?

I'm already pretty tired and can't be arsed to rewrite it all when I've wrote it several times already. Just look at my role review, it's there.

I also already stated part of it in the very post you quoted and the one straight after.

Pretty sure I've given reasoning on why I think you and Walker are scum are plenty of times over the past few days.

Been reading Zae and Devil as towncore for several day phases now. Shadell is a little more eh, but is still leaning town for me at the moment. Do feel more confident with Wies, but at this point don't want to risk the change when things are equal between Walker and Devil.

I'm getting seriously annoyed that you've been constantly ignoring what I've been saying. If I thought people would follow instead of going for devil or a freaking no vote at this stage, I'd be trying to vote you out instead.

Also seriously a no vote? Even an extra death is going to change nothing, it's clear scum will try to eliminate the most towny looking of us (likely Zae) tonight, and it'll just end up on the same argument of Wies/Walker/Devil. If we're going to lose I'd prefer to do so now, I don't really want another day of this argument. I'm also growing increasingly wary of scum pulling something out from left field tonight that may allow them to eliminate 2 instead of 1, no matter how unlikely.

Not ignoring you, I am simply unsatisfied. Hence me asking for more details or clearer terms.

At the moment Walker and Wies have the most suspect roles amongst us, and also were the last too share. Wies especially was arguing against the role talk during the Logos solve and tried to delay/throw doubt on the revelation, or perhaps just avoid revealing their own role.

Here it seems to be: "Walker has a suspect role". I just find that small as reasoning to eliminate someone for thus asking for more. But if that is the whole of your reasoning and you are also tired, I apologize pressing on that point. You have answered my question then.

I will also declare I find that too small to eliminate Walker and in fact I have a soft townread on them.

Hence, if no one is willing switch votes to ldj or make a convincing case for Walker or someone else, I will switch to No Kill and hope someone else votes for that too.

I understand Drax getting tired of this game and wanting to finish it now, but I have to also play to win, and I won't eliminate someone I currently consider too townie to eliminate.

Alright I'm back. Really late, but I'm willing to go no kill if doing so isn't gonna get me lynched.

[x] Vote No Kill

Gonna go try and actually respond to things before EoD now.

Here you base your vote on Roach solely on Comi's reads whie also agreeing with me that Comi looks sus after I retracted that argument. That feels careful to me, and not in town manner.
No, no, I based my vote on Roach on vibes, and Comi's reads reinforced the feeling.

Why?

I like to have some concrete reasoning for these votes.
Because reading through their posts they felt the least actively towny. I am honestly deeply concerned that I've miss-read either you or Zea as Towncore and you're actually Scum hanging out in my blindspot and any suspicions I actually have are incorrect, which is why I'm up for a no-lynch today.

If I was Scum, I would shoot Wies tonight, on account of they are basically the only remaining big poster. If they do survive, I'll find it suspicious the same way Nictis surviving last night would have been sus.

In the unlikely event I die:

Shadell and Walker I see as town, in that order.

Zaealix feels town, but could also be a wolf flying under radar. Sad nobody answered my zae question.

Hm, okay, while I don't like vibes as argument, I indeed misunderstood your argument. Thanks for clearing that up!

Makes sense. Funny, I have that paranoid concern about Zae too at times.

And the last grain of sand drains from the hourglass of the fifth day. May your choices have been wise, and may your regrets be few.

Time.
Day Five has Ended.

Hey Wait a Minute, Who's This?
The six remaining members of our Perfectly Normal Town have come to a consensus once again. This time, no one shall be exiled during the day, so that one of the remaining may be offered up to the night in humble sacrifice.

We retreat for the night, assured that it should not be the last, and await with bated breath the sixth day.

But between now and then, who shall the Perfectly Normal Night spirit away?

No one was Perfectly Normally Exiled.

Night 5 has begun, and unless any objections to the reduction are received, will end in Sep 13, 2022 at 6:00 PM. Please submit your night actions before then.

(There is no reason to suspect that anything has happened, Day Five being handled by someone besides the Perfectly Normal GM is, in and of itself, perfectly normal!)

Phase condensing

To be clear on this: unless someone objects, we're changing the cycles to 48/23 (at my co-dm's insistence :V).

OH GOD SOMEONE HELP (day 6)
And the night has ended. Let us reconvene in a perfectly normal common room for some perfectly normal review.

The round table where the town's fate will be decided remains as steadfast as ever, as the remaining suspects gather around:

Among the living, five remain:
@Shadell
@Wies
@Walker
@LostDeviljho
@Zaealix

Rest assured, the remaining enemies of the town are among these few. Missing from this list is the one who was sacrificed to the night.

@Draxy was found Perfectly Normally Nightkilled. They were a Perfectly Normal Firefighter, a member of our Perfectly Normal Town.

The Sixth Day has begun.
It will end in Sep 15, 2022 at 7:00 PM.

I assure you, we have not locked hugh in the perfectly normal dungeon. He's done that to himself. :V

…Okay, now it's so or die, now, we see if we were correct!
NOW.
WE!
HANG!
THAT!
SCUM!
[X] Vote Walker

Okay, five players remain.

Me, Weis, LDJ, Zaealix and Walker.

Let's go in order of increasing post-count.

Walker substituted in for MiracleGrow, so let's start with MiracleGrow. This is, to be honest, a bad look. MiracleGrow doesn't hunt at all. They meme a bit, and get into an argument about first day voting, but don't really engage with the game one bit despite being active pre-swap.

Of course, they're also an early replacement, but that means Walker comes into a slot with a slight scum lean for me.

Okay, let's talk about Walker, the Perfectly Ordinary Lover?

D2, 298 is the first real hunting Walker does, but it's somewhat weak. There's a mechanic read on Zaea that's not very grounded, a general suspicion of Nictis from nowhere and a read on Comi that's very vague, but which I do think feels a bit more legit. They drift toward a suspicion of Roach that's legitimate, but, I think, quite bad. However, come D3, we have probably the strongest town argument for Walker 482.

This is followed by the sequence that's probably Walker's sussest posts (aside from mechanics) 607 pushes a Comi vote when acknowledging Logos is also scummy, before immediately offering to tie-break "if" this isn't resolved by EoD. It feels like a weak attempt to save scum teammates without compromising. Walker doesn't flip to the Logos wagon, but could conceivably have read it as decisive already, but the energy isn't great. Particularly as Walker pushed Roach comparatively hard under almost exactly the same logic used to out Logos, but then backed off that immediately once town realized the gimmick.

Walker states an early suspicion on Comi, and continues to hold it vocally through Logos' death, but it never really gets built? Walker just doesn't mention Comi in posts much, and hte initial reading was "D1 bad vibes" more or less.

Walker claims Lover which seems like a viable role for the system, except lovers are those who want to keep a specific other player alive (generally without knowing if they're scum) as they instantly die if their partner does. The idea of not knowing who you need alive to win is deeply odd and doesn't feel entirely aligned with the roles.

Overall, Walker's had some towny posts, but Walker's hunting feels a bit weak to tepid, often sticking to consistent suspicions without really doing the work to strongly justify or argue them, and its hard to see a clear underlining logic. Walker's role claim is also a bit suspicious, making them a decent pick.

Zaealix, fairly active but not really contributing much? Zae leans a lot on their role, but we know the roles are useless, and hasn't really justified votes strongly. OTOH, votes have generally made sense. I don't think there's clear reasons to townread Zaea, but there's also not a strong reason to scumread Zaea atm. They've posted more than Walker, but I find trouble seeing much to really build a read off.

Even the role, a 3P cop, is entirely possible for scum in a presumptive multiball set-up the role implies.

What I would like to see today to not push the vote that way is a much more active play in terms of actually hunting and pushing.

Current (hypothesized) order, town to scum: Shadell > Wies ≥ LDJ > Zaealix

Shadell has a reasonably strong claim and has been a leader in hunting - with enthusiasm. Wies has a poorer claim, but has been arguably even more invested in hunting scum, and led on Logos as well as expressing suspicion about Chip before they stepped out. LDJ moves up on the list based on their posting at the end of the previous day. Zaealix, meanwhile, remains role-hyperfocused, and is voting me based solely on a weird roleclaim in a bastard game; I would be much less concerned if they had cited any of my previous posts as being problematic. Also, they've been waving their role around as an excuse for everything since D2 and occasionally trying to divert everyone into 3P discussion as recently as two days ago. They're so aggressive about showing how town they are that I'm wrapping back around on my opinion of them.
