So I don't actually trust either of these women, and Hayatos skills still need some work outside of fighting. I'd just rather have him to help cover our bases.

P.S. Munagi sending glares at Yameko is already funny and he fox is already jealous. Things can get really fun in the future if there are opportunities, not that Yamato would really notice these things.

I'm pretty sure Yamato very much does not want the attention, especially if he thinks this is supposed to be our moment.

And while dragging everyone else up there to get some of the spotlight would feel good no doubt, I'm also of the opinion that would be going a bit too far over the top when it was only us that was called out.

I do think we should mention all of them and how important they are to us being in the position we are in the speech we're inevitably going to be expected to give. Bringing them up on stage is too much, namedropping them is much less obtrusive.
 
I'm going to abstain from this vote, because I despise votes like these where there is no write in.

I very much want to bring Yamato up because the MC is even more simple than an Ace Combat protag and he needs his AWACS right about now, but I absolutely do NOT want to make a vote that offers even a slight chance of other supernatural allies/assets being revealed without a chance to profit from it somehow.

And no, the QM telling me "It'll be fine" does not constitute a chance at profit.

I wouldn't be surprised if Estella would have asked Hayato to have a sparring match with Irina, If this wasn't right before the tournament starting, so I doubt there is going to be a challenge like that.

I wasn't thinking that it was a trap, and more that this is a martial arts thing, and while Yamato is important to us, it isn't really his thing, you know?

How can this tournament be called '2nd Annual Tournament of the Divines' if it is an annual tournament with long history?
 
Well, one thi k to note is that the check on hayato was probably a treath assessment due her nature as a bodyguard and while yamato is subtle enough in nature to ping it, hayato ,mega hunga bunga, would definitely flare it up. Trough i also assume it would show the complete lack of hostile intent.
As for the reaction, maybe she is stronger than us, or at least believe she can take us.
