[x]Plan Networking, vampire and study
Nice quest so far. I'm liking it.
Checking the company website, you couldn't help wincing at how dated the design looked. As an employee, you'd naturally get to login and view everything for free, but the average reader had to deal with all sorts of annoying pop ups and adverts before they could see their favorite manga.
By dated are we talking 10 years ago or 20 years ago?
Don't suppose that's something we can eventually try to fix once we get the ear of someone important. Place the ads better and stop annoying people. Because ease of access is highly important. If people are too frustrated with the interface then they're just going to spend their time on something easier.
You opened up the latest volume, resisting the urge to groan as it slowly loaded. Didn't you already scan all the pages for printing? Why did this look like someone had taken a printed copy, then scanned it all in one page at a time into a pdf?
Now there's a snag in production. Why are we using physical scans of our own magazine when we have high-quality files already within the company database? Knowing company culture it's probably because doing so would require them to spend money somewhere.
People aren't dumb. They notice shit like that. The offical release on the company site shouldn't look like something off a scanlation site. If you take the effort to improve quality, looks, and ease of access, people will notice and they'll use it more.
Of course the site sucks probably because the higher ups view the internet releases as a side project while the physical release is the main one.
That's a pretty common problem. It's only in the last few years manga companies have been paying more attention to internet releases rather than physical books.
- Focus more on the daughter and add more ecchi elements (Assistant Editor in Chief)
Gotta nip this in the bud. Last thing I want is to find out Vampire mangaka is basing the whole thing on his own relationship with his daughter.
I feel the whole series is kinda misplaced in a shounen magazine. It also feels like it might get repetitive if the whole thing relies on father/daughter misunderstandings on the vampire issue. Honestly would have fit better if she actually was a vampire or knew an actual vampire.
