A Journey to the West 4:
The Mountian, 1949
-[X]The Triads: You are going to need to integrate yourself with the prison, and discover the beat, so to speak. You need to meet them. Rolled:
D100 => 100 #The Triads
It didn't take long for the members of the Triads to notice you. Of course, being a white boy who happened to only speak the languages that were not useful for the success in integrating into the prison system was nothing short of stupid. Even Ishmael, an Indian, spoke Cantonese, and could in a pinch, try his hand at mandarin. And he could at least understand the hell he was in.
You did too, but not the words spoken by the guards.
But you, you were an unknown, a foreigner who was here for reasons they did not know. And as it turned out, it made you a commodity.
You were brought before the man in charge, the man is known as Tong. He didn't have any other name, but there were whispers that he was a Dragon, a man who, in the Chinese criminal underworld, was someone respected, feared.
And you saw before the one-armed man as he smoked a cigar, a Cuban import like he owned this place.
You know for a fact that he was the man the communists wished to break, to have total control of this place. It didn't take an idiot to realize that. But he has power that the Commies could not take away, because a thousand angry, starved, and tortured prisoners that were in the process of being broken down were not likely to give in and die without a fight.
"So you are the one known as Oster?" He asked, clearly playing with the food that was your predicament.
"Heinrich" You replied. "And you must be the legendary Tong, whom the communists could never break." Candor and flattery. That was what this man respected, at least in the beginning. You needed his help to break Sun out of this place.
Saving their lives was worthy mesure. Criminals or not, these men did not deserve to be tortured and have their minds broken.
"Heinrich." He said with a drawl, his English was accented and hard to understand, but it was enough for you to understand. And to know he was interested. "You see, when new people come into this place, they know to pay their respects. You did not."
"I never meant to insult you. You seem like an intelligent man, who must realize that a foreigner and a child would not know the rules of this place, and think only for his survival." You responded.
Tong looked to his subordinates and they nodded. A lazy, catlike smile rose on his face. "And you are wise enough to realize that to be alone is a good way for the communists to break you into a million pieces? And you come to pay homage?"
"I would hope to be correct, in that assumption." You were feeling a sweat come down on your forehead, as the guards started walking past, watching the scene play out. Preparing to remove you like cancer. "But you also know the uses of a doctor, especially one who was trained in Western Medicine."
"Indeed I do. My men are coming back worse for wear, and the doctors are more interested in breaking and cutting than mending and healing. Having someone who makes that painless, and keep them strong. That is worth its weight in gold." He replied. "If only he was skilled enough?"
You frowned. "Well, you can either wait and see, when life may hang in the balance, or trust my word. A Word that has not been broken yet."
Tong nodded. "Yet my doctor is withholding information from his patient. As for why he is truly here? A notion that may receive assistance, if one were forthcoming and honest?"
You nodded, joining his concern. "Indeed. But my truth is rather simple. I am here to save people. And keep my oath as a doctor. And If I can, escape, so that I may go home. And allow my friend to help others."
Tong asked. "What is his name?"
"Sun Wukong." You replied, which got you a laugh?
"The Monkey King has not been seen in hundreds of years. What makes you think he may be here, and willing to escape?"
"Because I think his next journey to the west is about to begin." You replied.
Tong smiled. "We will prepare. For Sun Wukong is many things. One of us, most assuredly."
Reward: The Dragonhead Tong has been met. He and his men are also interested in breaking out Sun and escaping.
They will assist you with your plans without hesitation.
The Guards are beginning to feel anxious.
-[X]Chinese for dummies: You need to learn Chinese. Rolled:
D100 => 1+15=16#Learn
You could not learn Chinese, because you were too busy saving lives.
Failure.
-[X]A Medical Miricle: You are a doctor, and while you are not a normal doctor, you are qualified to help keep these men and women alive. Rolled:
D100 => 80+10=90 #Medical Miricle
There was a battle between nationalist forces, and the prisoners had their lives made more difficult because the battle lines were getting closer.
Every day, they grabbed a single man, and beat him within an inch of his life, with wooden sticks and knives. They wanted to send a message. They were still in control, and they would still destroy you all if there was any resistance.
So instead of resisting the normal way, you did it your own way. You went to the man and brought him back to his cell, and then used whatever you could get. Clothes, sheets, and bandaged his wounds. Cleaning them and making sure he would not be infected.
Every day, it continued, another beaten prisoner, another day of cleaning and healing.
This was the Guards torture for you.
They wanted you to despair, to lose hope and not save them. To fend for yourself.
It was easier said than done, but you did not care.
You would not lose them!
And no one died. Much to the shock of the gaurds.
They had wanted to break you. Instead they had provided something you could only give.
Hope.
And that would start the fire that would break the chains.
Reward: You have saved lives, and are now the hope bringer. The Communist's attempts to kill your hope failed.
There is nothing left for them to do, except try and kill you.
But that will not happen.

Sun's Plan:
D100 => 24 #Suns Plan
He isn't ready yet for an escape. Nor how to break his chains.
(You have 3 Actions)

[]To Break the chains: You are going to escape. But first to know, if you even can?
[]Murder in Cellblock A: A Prisoner was murdered a few hours after your release from the med bay. You are going to investigate.
[]Spice must Flow: The mountain has a very interesting geological structure, and that being, it's made of Salt… but also granite. Maybe that will mean something.
[]Call me Ishmael: You need his help in finding the great secret that holds sun Wukong's power. Maybe he can help.
[]Fight Club: You've been brought before the Warden, given a choice of weapons, and told to fight. Best not disappoint.
[]Seeing The Setting Sun: You need to See Sun again.
[]Chinese for dummies: You need to learn Chinese.
[]A Criminal Past: "Tell me boy, if I were the German government, would they care about a little Jew. They won't because to them you are nothing?"
[]To Ask for Help: Maybe there is a guard that can help you? Maybe there is a man that still holds onto his humanity here?
