DAoT Tech means will be targeted by everyone and being resistant to Chaos is suspicious at best times, Ordo Hereticus might purge us because they thought Momi was secretly corrupted by Chaos.

Few video game references, felinds, abhumans, free advertising of our Pleasure World. Nothing big or world shattering, few might be funny, but overall small things.

And what makes you think the Squats would just give us all their tech for free? Plus, we will probably have to deal with their squabbles with the mechanicus. And I don't think the Squats will be happy that we delay everything for the sake of trees.

Depends on how we do it. Straight up resistance looks sus to an outside perspective, that's why I went with the gut feeling. To me Chaos is at its most dangerous when it can be subtle, so by making our people capale of detecting and rejecting it we can severely handicap any attemps at infiltration.
 
Personally I would vote to make our people more accepting towards Psykers cause in the previous Pysker vote we erres on the side of caution but I would like to so better that that. Maybe fluff it as Magical Girl anime with true payker tales inspired more empathy but not lowering caution cause inevitable dark magical girl counter genre that shows even if pyskers deserve sympathy evil still isn't forgivable

It might be worth having our Lore vote mean Momi tends to generate Stable Psykers. Most psykers, especially as they go up in power, tend to be increasingly unstable and vulnerable to Chaos/Daemons, but they're also basically the best tool humanity has for dealing with any faction except the Tyranids.

Not really in my opinion, Stable Psykers would probably end up going Rouge a lot more often and that could give us a lot of problems.

Seriously guys, think about every possible consequences of your Vote Idea, because QM definetly will and I don't want to end up with asteroid field where Momi used to be.

That's why I created a pariah effect but for chaos. People tend to rationalise such feelings to make them seem like a rational conclusion so if an inquisitor asks each person will give a different answer. It would look like we are particularly bigilant rather than something nefarious. Plus, we would not be incorruptible, just have a massive bonus to detecting corruption.
 
How about a trait that makes Momi more tolerant towards abhumans in general? Having a lot of different more abhumans like Ogryn, Ratlings and Squats would be a pretty big boost down the line while also fitting our theme of making a place that could truly be called paradise for humanity including abhumans.
 
I do remember our cute little colony that was cute and adorable.

But as all things do, they grew, and they grew into a happy and healthy Sharkhound, and now we shall use that sharkhound and give it (insert our lore idea here). Now our Sharkhound is on steroid and will blood frenzy on our current problem

[x] Lore Vote: During study of Momi Biosphere one of the research teams found strange metallic glass looking vines growing from the ground in tangled fronds. After some experimentation it was found that after treating it in heated sealed vats with various chemicals, they will melt and can be drawn out into incredibly strong filaments.

[x] Lore Vote: During study of Momi Biosphere one of the research teams has found a species of flightless birds, which are almost twice average human hight and as was found out strong enought to carry human on it's back. In accident where one of the guardsman was taking a lunch break and of the birds decided to steal his lunch, it resulted in bird stealing guardsman lunch and guardsman finding himself on birds back, after chase that required research team to use vehicles (data collected suggest that bird speed was around 20mph), bird was captured for further study and guardsman was saved. They also posses distinct odor that was found to deter most Momi predators. Another characteristic feature is their chirp: "kweh!". Thanks to possible easy domestication and quick feet, they could be used as a mode of ground transportation for civilians around Momi.

Especially popular were Momi foodstuffs and drugs and after learning that Momi will become in close future Pleasure World, several of them decided to have vacation there as soon as possible.

One of them was Planetary Governor of Hive World who fell in love with Momi food, he wasn't very hapy to learn that Momi wasn't ready for visit or trade yet, so he decided to send help in form of ship full of Felinids. We don't know why he send Felinids, but it would be rude to refuse such gift and Momi can allways use more labour.

[x] Lore Vote: By mistake (it was spelling error rumors says) Administratum send to Momi, ship full of Abhuman colonists. The adept that made that mistake was punished accordingly and luckly Administratum allowed us to keep them due to how much trouble it would be to transport them to original destination.

[X] Lore: Given that the people of Momi have lived in such a chaos free enviroment, their souls have been able to recognise Chaos and its influence as foreign and dangerous on an instinctual level. As such they have developed an instinctive distrust towards Chaos, even if they don't recognise it as such they feel a distinct feeling of rejection and distaste akin to a gut feeling when coming into contact with chaotic forces, making it severly difficult for them to infiltrate the population.

Nothing I've seen is better than looking at chaos and saying 'you're sus'

Instead of Choatic Forces, Maybe Servants of the Chaos Gods. (or the Four) . Since in most warhammer fics I've seen its been Servant of ___ instead of Worshiper of ___, or even follower of ____. Sure it wont get the unintentional people, But I thats not necessarily a bad thing, since being Distrustful of those being manipulated would make it easier to manipulate them further into eventually intentionally become a servant of a chaos god.

I could write deamonic but that risks leaving out your regular ass cultist, which defeats the purpose.

And I have thought about it, and I think it's pretty balanced. The people's soul wouldn't be any more inherently uncorruptible than anyone else, people give themselves to chaos voluntarily all the time. They would not be able to pull a Magnus, that is to trick our people until it's too late to turn back.

Also another thing, you haven't explained why or how people of Momi can do this. It could be fine leaving it without explanation, but we're dealing Monkey's Paw here or classical Genie. Good wording is important.

I just don't want to end with Momi getting blown because of poorly worded Vote.

It's a gut feeling. Like the pariah effect, there's no real explanation why people hate them and how that effect materialises changes as well. There's no unfying mechanism other than 'it just feels wrong/bad'.

Pariahs are hated because their lack of soul crates aura, that makes everyone with soul unnerved by them.

It makes certain amount of sense, especially when you look at interaction between Blanks/Pariahs and Warpz.
 
[X] Lore: The people of Momi have started to grow from their previous indifference towards psykers to being more sympathetic to their plight. The cause of this is assumed to be the recent bout of Magical Girl-like animes showing the hardships and struggles of kids not even teenagers suddenly gaining nearly uncontrollable power due to several True Psyker Tales shown. These animes also tend to while protraying psykers are sympathetic show that just because many psykers have tragic backstories they aren't worthy of forgiveness if they turn to Chaos (well the kid's cartoon version of it).

Basically I want to move up from our indifference towards psykers to actually being sympathetic partly cause I feel sorry for them and partly because since this quest seems to be following canon 40k a bit then we might soon be dealing with the massive Psychic Awakening that happens so I feel having our culture be more tolerant towards psykers would be helpful for keeping things from blowing up.
