The Dragon Ascendant: NO SV: Welcome To Another Viserys Targaryen Quest (A Ck2 Quest)

[X] Plan: Magnificent Nine

Rather than a Queensguard, it might be more politic to have the Queen have a number of sworn swords around her that she (or her family) picks personally. It might make them feel more secure if they bring in new blood for every Queen rather than relying on ones picked by people before them that they may or may not have gotten along with. I suppose that doesn't really matter right now, but later generations might like it better.

Ok, that was truly heartwarming... I am glad that Viserys will have some measure of closure and happiness.

Before he discover that he has unleashed the Apocalypse
At least Viserys gets to chance to close one chapter of his life and gets to say goodbye.

As for the Apocalypse… well we still need to get a guard prepared.
And those are pretty awesome rewards...

It is a shame that Dany wasn't there with us, it would have been nice to have her meet his mother...
You think that she won't meet her mother soon.

So… I am laughing at the potential… difficulties that I am prepared to throw at you. It will be fun.

Place your bets, everyone! What new Horrors may be thrown at us? Lizardmen and Cannibals in Sothorys going Sci-Fi Aztecs and marching out to conquer the World? A colossal Army worshipping evil Gods coming from beyond the Sunset Sea to pull a Sunset Invasion? The frigging OLD ONES awakening?! Some Cult trying to re-trigger the Doom of Valyria, but for THE ENTIRE WORLD?!?

Okay let me critique some of those things you have said and find out if I'm boring.
Lizardmen and Cannibals in Sothorys going Sci-Fi Aztecs and marching out to conquer the World?
While Aztecs would be nice I find it very hard to do something that silly. Mostly because wizard men and lizard men silly.
A colossal Army worshipping evil Gods coming from beyond the Sunset Sea to pull a Sunset Invasion?
Now to be fair: that possibility exists because we know there is lands to the west.

They might be the Aztecs however and that is inexcusable.
The frigging OLD ONES awakening?!
Well the Ironborn have experience in doing things like putting the old ones to sleep with wizard hats and crazy shit… we'll be fine.
Some Cult trying to re-trigger the Doom of Valyria, but for THE ENTIRE WORLD?!?
Well damn there goes the Leng Plan.
Hey now: Dany is magically gifted. She'll be fine. Mostly.

Anywho, I am calling the vote in the morning.

So keep on voting, and then we can get to the fun stuff.

Well... I have looked through the options I have created and can safely say. I am not boring.

I only wish more people would vote.

Even then the winning plan (which is mine) doesn´t include the funniest ones

Two girls in the Guard? Who would dare to say anything! (Sure, we are planning to recruit them later, but still)

A guy who wants us to kill us in the guard? How exciting!!!

Another one of our lost nephews? Charming! (plus if things go like in the books we can have another round of Surprise Incest)
I only wish more people would vote.
So true, really I love this quest I don´t know how it is not getting more voters/readers...

  • [X] Plan: Magnificent Nine
-[X] Harras Harlaw is one of those true rarities: an Ironborn knight, albeit one who keeps to the Drowned God. His appointment would forge closer ties with the Islands while only being somewhat controversial.
-[X] Brynden Tully is an able commander, a sharp wit, and a valourous knight. He is also in his fifties, and his brother the Lord Paramount still hopes to see him married off. However, Hoster Tully is not like Tywin Lannister and would accept the honor of having a relative on the Kingsguard without much fuss. (Requires a DC of 60)
-[X] Jon Connington was stripped of his lands and titles during the Rebellion, and has spent the last several years helping to raise your nephew. He wouldn't mind being restored to his lands and title (as his cousin Ronnet is, in his words, "a snivelling little shit") but he would also be pleased and proud to remain in King's Landing and serve your family once more.
-[X] Asher Forrester showed promise when he marched south with his father and brother, and you have noticed in the past few days he has struck up an odd rapport with Beshka. House Forrester is not among the greater families of the North, but the gesture would be noticed. When pressed, Lord Forrester mentioned there might be an impolitic lover waiting for him back in the North, and placing Asher here would do him (and Lord Stark) a favour.
-[X] Imry Florent is a young goodbrother of Lord Stannis, a proud knight and respectable warrior, and possessed of the least prominent ears on a Florent you've ever seen. His appointment would be seen as a gesture of goodfaith to the Reacher lords that stood with you, and to Lord Stannis, who does not speak ill of Ser Imry.
-[X] Robar Royce is the second son of Bronze Yohn Royce, a good tourney warrior and a skilled swordsman who did not have a chance to fight in the Restoration. Quiet but kind, his demeanour is a stark difference from his rough-hewn appearance and familial reputation. His appointment would be seen as a conciliatory gesture to the Vale.
    [X] Plan: Kingsguard Eleven

-[X] Beshka the Basilisk would be … a choice. A woman, of foreign birth, with no knighthood or ties to the Faith, and one of the youngest ever recruited. She's willing to take on just about any challenge you pitch at her, though. And the Faith can only get so mad at their new king, right? More than Destroying the Iron Throne could… right?

-[X] Loras Tyrell is quite young, and depending on when he arrived to take his oaths would beat out Ser Jaime's record as the youngest recruited. He is known as being gifted with swords (this is occasionally said with knowing smirks, which you don't get) and has had a haunted look ever since he surrendered to your forces at Storm's End. Lord Mace recommended him personally, and every time you ask for more time, there is a glint in his eyes that makes you feel concerned.

-[X] Brienne of Tarth is a staggeringly tall young woman, and looks like she could beat up Ser Jaime at just seventeen. Her father once hoped that you might consider marrying her, and now seems to hope you might consider trusting her with your life. The former was, frankly, out of the question. The latter, though … you've seen her move with a sword, and it suggests real skill. Still, she's a woman, and unknighted, and the Faith (and some traditionalists) may get grouchy. The question is, how much you actually care.

Sorry Girls for not including you in the Kingsguard...

But don't you worry, you will always have a place in the New Queensguard... Which will be just like the Kingsguard but with blackjack and hookers (and with cleaner bathrooms)!!!

Alright boys to to choose the Apocalypse!
can we pick political , social ,economic and religious upheaval caused by the return of magic threating to plunge the world in chaos not seen since the century of blood , needing careful governorship , political savvy , wide sweeping reform ,overwhelming military might and unifying and inspiring leadership of the utmost skill to carefully navigate the ship of state to safety ? , it seems like the kind of Apocalypse that would be the ideal challenge for a CK2 quest

God dammit that was literally one of the options.

Am I becoming predictable or you all are just really good at guessing.
