There was a Spi...dea. (Sony, Spider-Man Producer Quest)

62- Edgar Wright, Avi Arad, and Harry Dresden.
[X] Plan Numerology: Magic of Numbers
- [X] Edgar Wright had come in, wanting to direct the sequel to his original Spider-Man movie. (+5 to
- [X] Try to talk to the higher-ups about giving you a higher budget. (Roll)
-[X] Network with Avi Arad. (Roll)
- [X] Convince Sony to negotiate with the studios (Marvel, Fox, and Universal) for the rights of a character. (Roll)
--[X] Dresden Files could add some extra, much-needed Magical stuff to the setting. Though, it would fit better for a TV Series. (Medium Roll)

You decided to have Edgar Wright return as the director of Spider-Man, it was practically a no-brainer, after all!

After that, you decided to try and talk to the higher-ups about possibly giving you a higher budget.

Hopefully, it'd go well.

Budget Negotiation Roll: 85.

Things went... surprisingly well, you'd managed to talk the higher-ups into adding quite a bit more to the budget.

You were sitting, reasonably comfortably at $120 Million, now. That was definitely a lot more to work with than before.

After that, you had gone to Avi Arad, just wanting to talk to your good friend, and... maybe ask him for something.

Avi Arad Networking Roll: 115.

As it turns out, Avi was really happy to see you.

"Terry! My friend, it's amazing to see you! Feels like it's been ages! How have you been!?" Avi said jovially, as he gave you a hug, "Come! Sit! Do you want something to drink? Because, man. You have made us an absolute mint!"

"No, Avi. I'm fine... in fact, I came to ask something of you" You said with a smile.

"Oh, anything, man. What do you need?" Avi asked with a grin, as he sat down in a seat.

"Alright, so..." You started.

What do you want Avi Arad to do? (Depending on what you want done, it could instantly happen, or need a roll. Once again, I'm only doing this due to the high roll)

After that meeting, you had gone and tried to convince Sony to buy the rights to Dresden Files.

Sony Negotiation Roll: 83.

The higher-ups were fine with you trying to gain the rights to the Dresden Files, and now... you were going to have a meeting with the author to try and get the live-action rights to the character.

Jim Butcher Negotiation Roll: 92.

Jim was absolutely happy to give you the rights to the series, for a cost of course. But, you were happy to pay for it.

Now... you had to get to work on casting the characters in Spider-Man 2.
_____

Please, give me some casting ideas. I have a few, but I'd like some more.

While I'm torn between a lotta of these options, I'm inclined to vote for another script writer...yeah, gonna have to be the script writer, the other guy fucked up that bad.

Don't we already own them?

do the movies have to be linked to our movies or can we do standalone? because a worm tv series could be a good thing.

Yeah, I think Orion Ultor or someone else brought up the idea of making a Worm show that's disconnected from the rest of the cinematic universe, and having Golden Morning be the event in which the Sony Cinematic Universe and Worm collide in the Discord.

as much as i would like to buy more properties we should probably do something with the ones we already have.

As tempting as the IP buffet we have laid in front of us is, we haven't really solidified what we have into a coherent universe yet.

I mean, the pitch was to use Golden Morning to bridge the gap between the gap between the SCU and properties with far more established worldbuilding (Venture Bros, Invincible, Worm, Ben 10, etc.) that aren't the best fit for our burgeoning setting...that might even include the MCU proper if don't make a deal with them to already be set in the same world beforehand.

Right now's not the best time for that though, we need to give our setting a bit of room to grow into its own before we start introducing more properties, ignoring the fact that getting Worm now will probably get it pulled from the net before Wildbow's finished writing it.

mmm, in 2013 it will end worm (I think)

IRL the boom (in audiovisual) of super stories in a realistic/dark world started with the boys (I think) in 2019 (I think)..

Although it depends on what we want...
Will the books and the audiovisual be separate multiverses/omniverses or not?

I have to say no, Ward is so good and it destroy it as a possibility

Technically that can still happen, given that Taylor is...kinda alive and hinted at living out to what passes for a normal life with her dad on a separate world from Victoria, whose world matches pretty well up with 2099.

they can always be separate multiverses and that's it.

in one takes place worm and ward in another the version of our multiverse
Don't need to do that, Ward already starts with everything from Earth-Bet (and other worlds) broken up across multiple universes; the one Ward's set on is basically 2099, given the megacity it's built in, which we can revisit during the Spider-Verse event.

Oh I did not know..
the truth I totally ignore ward and 99% of the things that come after the leviathan arc

I haven't read Worm (I've been meaning to) but it sounds pretty lore heavy and I think we're still trying to figure out where all our characters and properties fit in this universe so I don't think we need to dump another huge thing in after just buying the Dresden files.

I wouldn't be opposed to bringing it in at some point though.

-[x] Medium Roll: "From Marvel" Write-in what character you want: The rest of the Heros for Hire Package (Apart from, of course, Luke Cage as an Avenger).

We have Cage and Iron Fist, where the line past them may be unclear, so push a bit more and make it expansive. Jessica Jones, Doreen Green, whoever else we might need...

Could have it be post worm where Taylor is trying to live a normal life without her powers but keeps being sucked into the superhero world.
