[X] "There has… has to be someone…"

How long has Ryza known Artemis anyways? Like a couple days? What a fast relationship.

I don't think Ryza would be capable of being rational here.

Edit: Speaking of, I can totally imagine that by revealing Ryza in what is essentially chapter 1, instead of getting some awesome plot twist, we ended up forcing the QM to move up the schedule of some events.
Actually if I have read the story correctly then Riza has known Artamis for about a month or two.

So that was quite a depressing chapter, in a good way. Judging by the quote at the beginning it looks like tomes are made from dragonstone, which fits with how Ryza was surprised that humans could use magic - they couldn't until after she was sealed away because it required dragon slaughter.

Finding out that your species is entirely gone is quite traumatising, so I'm going to go with:

[X] "There has… has to be someone…"

Additionally, narrative laws suggest that there probably is one or two dragons around in secret. Maybe the what's his name is secretly in charge of the empire? Idk.

No, it's actually only been a few days, but Artemis was there when Ryza desperately needed someone to comfort her over the death of her family, and Ryza not only saved Artemis, but is ticking a lot of "must protect small child" instincts in Artemis, so they bonded fast.

So first guess at what happen, a faction of manaketes hated their heart forms and human and decided to say fuck them all and promptly went crazy, they started a war between all manaketes and humans which they eventually lost.

Now Im have the image of Ryza complaining to Artemis like a child would complain to their mother.

While there are technically ten minutes left, I'm calling it now. "There must be someone" wins in a landslide.

In other news, the new combat dice system will (hopefully) be finalized soon. I won't have any fights until it is, so with any luck there won't be any unexpected issues.
