Wouldn't the book on getting along with your inner dragon be more likely to have info on the wing manifestation?[X] Do a bit of reading. You won't be able to get far in a short time, but you've been itching to get into the scrolls for a while. (Choose one scroll to look at.)
-[X] Beyond your Stone: A Guide to Practical Magic
Alright... I badly wanna know our new companions, but I'm hoping learning from that book may help further conceal our wings if we find ourselves in combat.
Wouldn't the book on getting along with your inner dragon be more likely to have info on the wing manifestation?
Runewriting seems more likely for that, tbh. Manaketes are natural mages able to cast without using a tome; why would a book written by Manaketes on practical applications of magic cover a topic that they never used? Whereas, we know Tomes are roughly the same 'technology' as the Tablets, which are made to gather and amplify magic via runes. Thus, learning runewriting and studying the tablet is more likely to teach us the fundamentals needed to develop our own tomes. That could work too if it turns out that impulse on our wings is independent from casting magic. But now that you're mentioning it, I don't feel quite firm about learning practical magic. My assumption at the time was that reading the book on magic might teach us how to create Tomes that don't require the Dragon power we're drawing from.
