I just made an edit for my vote, to be a grand act. So you might want to add that to yoursAuthored:
[X]From a particularly lustrous fruit of the Lonesome Tree, Kaileah the Dryad is born. Between its twisting boughs she finds her purpose, as a sentinel and gardener to her beloved progenitor.(Lesser Act)
Supported:
[X] Create a grand city within the Unreal, one that grows and changes with its inhabitants. It's roads shine like precious jewels while it's architecture will be the stuff of dreams.
[X] Fill the branches of the 'Lonely Tree' with a variety of large, nutritious, seed-bearing fruit in a rainbow of colors so that it might spread lesser kin to the rest of the world. (Lesser Act)
I was thinking of something along the lines of "The Living Lands" where its essentially one giant landmass with all the different ecosystems on it. Where anything can find a place to live, also so we can get a whole bunch of different cultures.I say that next round we should make one final giant continent. Currently all we have is two big landmasses and several smaller islands.
Okay. Finished the first draft of my Act this turn. @Photomajig , can I get a ruling on whether or not I justified the act level?
[] Teach the Bãsn-Shaal-Khlomet the arts of Ardency. (Grand Act.)
"You dream, favoured child. I see it. I see the pathways your thousand component minds scar into the universe. From that mandala, I learn your nature. How hot and bright your desires burn. How strong and unyielding your will is.
"With those alone, favoured child, I shall teach you to conquer the world. Come now. Come away from your flesh. It shall not die. I am not so cruel as that. And I have such secrets for you. Let me show you the Beginning.
"Do you see? Here, we Makers gathered, unleashed from the Unfrozen Sun. Our potency was infinite. We made the universe and all its laws. Still we labour, forging the worlds, but our designs for the future do not concern you. But this moment here. This does. This is the moment when we created the GRAND LAW OF NARRATIVE SATISFACTION.
"Is it not beautiful? Is it not elegant? So simple, and yet by its dictate must all of reality bend. Better yet, it is promised most utterly to mortals. You may wield the might of Gods, reshape creation, destroy and create as you see fit – and all it requires of you is PURITY. Purity of Heart, that one single desire might direct your every action. Purity of Will, that no cost is too much, or obstacle too great, in your pursuit of what you wish.
"Oh, favoured child, I see you fretting. You are mortal, and tormented still by the turmoil of the First Age. Be at peace. I know purity is as yet beyond you. But I shall show you how to achieve it. You see, at the heart of Purity is desire, and that is my Infinite Palace. And are you not my own? Have I not given you already this city to dwell in?
"I shall teach you arts to master desire. I shall show you its complexities, and how to plumb its depths. And with that gift, you shall achieve ARDENCY. You shall choose what your desire is, and give yourself to it until you are pure.
"And then, favoured child.
"Then, all shall fear you…"
-Excerpt from the Red Teachings of Bãsn, within the dream of the Eighth Bãsn-Shaal-Khlomet, as witnessed by the Watcher and recorded by the Historian
To explain, Ardency is basically an exploit for the Grand Law of Narrative Satisfaction; practitioners use a special system of meditation and mental disciplines to master their hearts and minds completely, allowing them to display the necessary grand acts of purity required to bend reality. It's exceptionally difficult, but with an appropriate level of dedication (and sacrifice, usually deeply symbolic and exceptionally painful ones), it's also very powerful. The cost, of course, is vast; you have to become very cold to slave your core desires to your conscious mind, and often quite amoral. It's a grand act and not a cosmic one since the only actual change is self mastery; the Grand Law of Narrative Satisfaction already exists, and was passed by vote.
They do! It's the name the First Children in the city call themselves. Hang on, I'll find the line.Do the "Bãsn-Shaal-Khlomet" exist yet or do they have the necessary votes yet to be guaranteed existence?
Developments
[-snip-]
A dozen colonies reach the City of Coral. After lengthy negotiations, they come to an agreement to share the City among themselves without attempting to consolidate into one unfeasibly large hive - an unprecedented break with tradition no doubt spurred on by the new Law of Constant Evolution. Perhaps arrogantly, this new polity renames itself as (what is best transcribed as) Bãsn-Shaal-Khlomet, 'the Favored Children of Bãsn'. For their part, the 'loyal' colonies – the majority of the species – retreat from shallow waters and shores, settling in deeper waters and devoting themselves further to the Sea-Spirit. Time will tell what this division will lead to...

It's a perfectly valid Act and I am pleased with the idea of magical seaweed monks, which it kinda sounds like.
I love how we used purity as a basis for a heart of pure evil is a pure heart is it not? Yet it is why that there shall be those of pure good to oppose them. Sometimes evil will win, sometimes good. For though one may triumph for a time, it will inevitably fall.Purity of Heart, that one single desire might direct your every action. Purity of Will, that no cost is too much, or obstacle too great, in your pursuit of what you wish.
something fun to watch would be a system somewhat similar to those of the sacred gear of dxd.
edit:
for those who do not know dxd I will give a quick summary.
the GOD of dxd created a system to help humans to be on an equal footing, what he did was create using his power or the soul of other beings things that may or may not have a physical form that are united from birth to its wearer .. the system never ended it so some errors arose, for example that the sacred gears (as those powers / artifacts are called) can evolve according to the feelings and will of their user (getting to make their powers more powerful or varied or even develop new ones) another mistake was that the bearers can have a balance breaker which is basically a temporary way where the power increases / acquires new powerful powers temporarily or etc.

[X] (Cosmic Act) Create the World Tree Yggdrasil, Tree of life and the 2 magics.
[X] using remnants of divine power or powerful souls will create artifacts with powers that will be given randomly and these will be linked to the soul of their bearer from birth (cosmic act)
would that be okay?
[X] creates a system that automatically collects remnants of divine power or powerful evil souls and then uses that power to create artifacts of all kinds that will have powers, these will be randomly given to unborn carriers and soul-bound.Can anyone... elaborate on this Act? It's getting plenty of votes but I'm not finding a post that actually explains what it's trying to accomplish in any more detail.
Sounds like a Grand Act at most. Seems valid otherwise.
I modified it to adapt more to the idea, now what would it be?
Ok then i want dinosaur for the animal and grass and tree for the plant. This is pretty vague. Is this trying to create land-fish and land-coral? That's pretty cool and perfectly valid. If it's trying to create all kinds of different terrestrial life, that's way too broad - a broad family of life is something like 'birds', 'trees', 'fungi', 'cetaceans' or 'insects'. Some of those are obviously wider categories than others, but it should be one distinct category.
It's part of the fun to be creating forms of life so specifically. We might end up with a world where some common Earth plant or animal is missing and has never existed - the world is covered in plains of lichen and giant mushrooms instead of grass and trees, for example.
This goes for other Acts trying the same. I stretched this criteria with 'Fish AND coral', so it can be a few distinct families of life if they fit together as well.
@BadAtScreenNames , already got it in my vote. Can I ask for your vote on mine? I would like to see it succeed.
So, do we plan to create humans and other typical fantasy races?
oh, well last minute I'll change the last minute vote if I don't get enough votes.Sure. Done.
We debated it a few pages back. Having said that, it's a riot quest, so you do you. Also, just to mention, we can only pitch one vote each age, so you can't do you relic system and your magic absorbing mineral in the same turn. Figured I should mention it.
