  • [X] Plan: A start of a grand plan
-[X] Make Herman Schultz a parallel to Peter Parker, a genius with low resources, and a family member dying. Then one day he witnesses Spiderman in action and comes to the realization that Spiderman might very well reach the big times. So he simply asked, why couldn't he as well? (Bit of mix of 1st and 5th. Some parallel to Peter and some genre-awareness.)
--[X] Make him and Peter interact frequently, but not quite to the point of being friends.
-[X] Shocker is performing slowly escalating thefts culminating into attempting to take something from a corporation of government facility. Knowingly acting as a more visible distraction for something far more grander.
-[X] Shocker admires Spiderman and desires to witness the true heights they both could reach on their respective paths. He acknowledges that they have a conflict in ideals and his fully willing to even take actions to but him back on his heroic path even if they must be enemies.
-[X] A teenager just like Peter.
-[X] No, this is a Shocker solo movie.
    -[X] Do a post-credit scene or two.
    --[X] Do one (Describe it)
---[X] a recruitment scene like in Iron Man, but the twist is that its for the Shocker whos being congratulated for a job well done.
    [X] Shocker Supreme
[X] Plan: Rise of the Shocker
    [X] Plan: What a Shocker
-[x] Keep Herman as he is, a somewhat loveable screw-up, make him as likable as you can in the script, show scenes of him with his family, maybe have him and Peter form a somewhat tentative friendship in their secret identities, which somewhat goes away when Herman becomes The Shocker.
-[x] He intially starts as a small time crook getting bigger as his gear improves, the war between him and Spiderman escalating until one goes too far. The it gets personal...
-[x] Herman intially respected him, seeing him as just a guy who was trying too help out. But eventually he became too much of a buzz and he tried too take him out. Spiderman eventually beat him and then got him jailed and thats when he started caring less about profit and more about making it even.
-[x] A young man, in the prime of his life.
-[x] Keep it too the Shocker, but perhaps have him and Spiderman temporarily work together too beat an even greater villain, one who planned too kill them both.
-[x] Do a post credit scene too show Herman figured out who Peter is.
[X] Make Herman Schultz into somewhat of a parallel to Peter Parker, a genius with low resources, a family member dying, and a resolve to do something in the memory of that family member. It just turns out that, that family was a two-bit thief, and Herman learned a lot under them... eventually making his gauntlets and suit, and becoming The Shocker.
-[X] Make him and Peter friends in their Civilian lives
[X] Spiderman finds him after investigating semi-regular break-ins happening in lots of electronic shops
[X] Shocker honestly, kind of likes Spider-Man... sure, he could make a lot of money with his powers. But, keeping the neighborhood safe isn't a bad thing... sadly, they had a conflict of ideals.
[X] A teenager just like Peter.
[X] No, this is a Shocker solo movie.
    [X] Do a post-credit scene or two.
    -[X] Do one (Describe it)
--[X] a recruitment scene like in Iron Man, but the twist is that its for the Shocker
    [X] Shocker Supreme
-[X] Edgar Wright wanted to turn Herman Schultz into a sort of... visionary, he knew that Spider-Man was going to be a big name. And wanted to be there from the ground up, as his first big bad, and hopefully a prime member of his Rogues Gallery. This Shocker would be a lot more... genre-savvy than the rest. (Director's Choice)

No, we're not. His portrayal of Peter is one of the prime reasons his film series didn't work.
in really he himself said he was very disappointed by how terrible sony made the peter character in the movie
Also is it not an exaggeration that you speak for everyone?

And finally do you have any suggestions? and remember that spiderman usually make jokes in fights (something that tobey's did not do at all)

edit: also, I don't think he's as bad an actor as you say, his movies and characters are usually good, and he was nominated for an oscar ... and he won quite a few awards ...
If you don't like it, just say, I didn't like it so I think / hope not

Plan: A start of a grand plan and Shocker Supreme are actually tied if you include the vote at the bottom.

I usually want this stuff to be done in a plan format. Since it wasn't, I just won't count it. Makes it easier for me to just get to writing, instead of having to either do a roll, or wait for someone else to break the tie.

05- A few more details, then we're finally going to get to the scripts. Sorry for this taking so long.

You decided to have Herman be a sort of parallel to Peter, with the general idea of him being a similar age to Peter, having a family member die in a similar way to Uncle Ben, and him being a genius with similar low resources to Peter. One day, he witnesses Spider-Man in action, and comes to the realization that Spider-Man has what it takes to become a true star, reaching the big times... so, he asked himself, "Why couldn't I do it too?" and started his journey to become The Shocker.

You had to figure out what family member would die for Herman to initially have the motivation to become The Shocker.

Who in Herman's family died?

[] Herman's father, an abusive, drunk, two-bit crook who taught Herman everything he knew about crime.
[] Herman's mother, a hard woman who honestly tried to do the best for her son after getting him away from his father, but the man already set him on the wrong path.
[] Herman's older brother, a kind man, doing petty theft and robbing gas stations for money to pay for Herman's schooling. He didn't want Herman to turn to a life of crime like himself.
[] Write-in:

He and Peter would interact with each other frequently, they'd be good acquaintances, not close enough to be friends.

Herman would personally admire Spider-Man, and desire to witness the true heights that the both of them could take as super heroes and villains. He knows that they'll have a conflict in their ideas, and is completely willing to take actions to put him back onto his heroic path, even if they're 'destined' to be enemies.

Herman, as Shocker would perform slowly escalating thefts, ultimately culminating into him attempting to take something from a large corporation, or a government facility. Knowingly acting as a more visible distraction, for his unseen partners to get away with their scheme. Which could be good for a sequel.

What company/government facility did Herman attempt to steal from?

[] OsCorp.
[] Alchemax.
[] The Daily Bugle.
[] Tricorp.
[] Fisk Industries.
[] Write-in (Must be something we have the rights to, so no Stark Industries, Baxter Building, or stuff like that.):

You decided to make this a Spider-Man, Shocker movie. No other villains to be seen.

You also had to decide how the movie would end...

[] The Shocker is caught, and arrested.
[] The Shocker gets away unscathed.
[] The Shocker, just barely gets away by the skin of his teeth.
[] Write-in:

After the movie ends, there'd be a scene of Herman, as The Shocker either in a cell, or a warehouse, being congratulated by a shadowy figure for a job well done, being the distraction against Spider-Man.

Well, you were finally done with coming up with the ideas for The Shocker.

But, now... you have to figure out things with Peter Parker himself.

First off, are there any love interests for Peter within the movie?

[] Yes, of course there is. (Who?)
-[] Mary Jane Watson.
-[] Gwen Stacy.
-[] Betty Brant.
-[] Felicia Hardy.
[] No. There isn't room for a love interest, in the movie at the moment.

With that figured out, you also had to think of what the main cast should look like for the movie.

Who is the main cast? (Not including Peter Parker, Herman Schultz, Herman's Family Member (Up to vote), Aunt May (Because she's obviously showing up), and the potential love interest) (Top 4)

[] J. Jonah Jameson is simply a must-have, if you want to do the Daily Bugle justice... maybe you could get J.K Simmons to reprise his role.
[] Harry Osborn could appear in a couple of scenes in the high school.
[] You could have Ned Leeds show up as one of Peter's friends.
[] Flash Thompson would be interesting to have show up too. He's practically a staple among Spider-Man supporting characters.
[] Mary Jane Watson, she might not be the main love interest, but that doesn't mean she can't show up.
[] Gwen Stacy, she could still show up as a friendly face, with great intellect.
[] Betty Brant could show up as Peter's co-worker, and friend.
[] Felicia Hardy might be able to show up as a flirty friend of Peter's, and tease the eventual Black Cat.
[] Eddie Brock as one of Peter's potential co-workers in the Daily Bugle could work, and it'd tease a future Venom down the line.
[] Quinten Beck could potentially show up, somewhere within the movie.
[] Aleksei Sytsevich could show up, as a thug under, or working for The Shocker. Perhaps even friends with him.
[] Write-in (We have to have the rights to them):

All in all, you thought that it was pretty damn good... hopefully, when the script comes in tomorrow, it'll all just be great. No! Amazing! Spectacular! Ultimate! Or some other positive-sounding adjective.
____

Okay, so this is actually taking a while to get to the scripts, but we'll definitely get there by the next chapter/update. Sorry, but I noticed that we didn't really focus on adding more to Peter... in a Spider-Man movie. Must have been my tired brain, not thinking about it.

Please use a Plan Vote Format.

It was formatted properly though. In fact it copied the plan in full.

[X] Plan Prison Break

it looks very good and interesting .. also I think we will avoid one of the original errors which was that there were parts that were very similar to the previous trilogy and people were not so interested in that.

To all this, if the movie goes well, the shocker will go from being a filler villain with some intelligence and luck to one just as good (in background and character) as the main spiderman arch-enemies.

Can we get them to change the character in the ultimate universe? .... hahaha

[X] Plan Prison Break

I like this but, I do think that technically Gwen doesn't have to be one of the four when she is also the Love Interest. So perhaps Betty Brant here, just a female friend for Peter, without confusing the audience with like Mary Jane being in the movie and not the love interest after the Raimi films.

you are herman ... not, shocker, it sounds much better.

after you were defeated by spider-man, the first superhero the world has seen, a fact that initially made you angry, you were only supposed to be a distraction, fight with spider-man and establish yourself as his first super -villain and the one who defeated or nearly defeated him.

Unfortunately, your plans were not as they are, because although you almost defeated him, you underestimated his intelligence and he found a way to put your gloves against you, but it is not so regretful unlike the comics where, due to the script, the villains cannot improve too much, you if you can, and both you and spider-man will be what will propel the other to greater heights, one will be the test for another, the one that will force him to improve or lose everything.

besides, things are not so bad in prison, the inmates love you, literally in a few weeks you became the undisputed king of rikers .. with your intelligence and what your "mobs" managed to obtain you could create technology, not enough to escape, but to effortlessly defeat the muscle brains that previously "reigned."

And to end the good news, in addition to being the "king" of rikers, your employer has also told you that in time he will have a guaranteed escape for you, such as bonuses for your good work and also a laboratory with technology to rebuild and improve your equipment...
and you have no doubt that they did not betray you or if not ... they will regret betraying the shocker.

but, interrupting your reflection and thoughts for the future, an average inmate appears, indistinguishable from the rest at first glance, who comes to give you the weekly summary of the most important news from outside "boss, I've come to give the report from outside" the inmate waiting for a few moments to see your silent confirmation to continue tells you "outside there is a thief who is said to steal anything, this statement is made because everything that has stolen so far are things very strongly guarded and they did not discover the theft until one day later ... also some new ones say that a guy dressed in red who seems to have powers for how he dodges things that cannot be seen, some even say the exaggeration that he dodges bullets ... end of the boss report "

Well, something I did quickly in 10 minutes ... I know it's very bad, but I wanted to share how I imagine shocker's personality and how the world is bigger than what is seen in the film (I also wanted to show the idea again to make a black cat movie)

You don't actually have to put Gwen Stacy in twice, she's automatically added in as the love interest, you can replace it with someone else.

Cool, second is replaced with Felicia. Hope we can pull something along the lines of the '90s Cartoon in how she gets her powers...Oz formula, maybe?

I personally think she works better as the love interest than Gwen because she can be Black Cat in the sequel.
By that logic (of us setting up a Battle Couple) there's no reason we couldn't do the same with Gwen, and have her become Carnage [precedent (2006)] or Spider-Gwen [early (2014)] somewhere down the line.

But I figure we're building up to it, first with sorta normal Street Crooks, followed by Powered Mafia and then finally the batshit alienmagic goop.
