To Struggle and Strive: The Combined Syndicates of America in 1932. A Kaiserreich Quest

[X] Plan: Leashing and Knowing the Devil
-[X] Agree to share information between the Commission and the RAF. (+2 points)
-[X] Agree to begin stepping up the campaign against reactionaries. (+3 points)
-[X] Ask that certain categories of actions such as the taking of hostages or attacks on churches be restricted. (-4 points)
-[X] Write-in: Ask to be informed well-beforehand for any major Red Army Faction operations. (-1 points)

An approved and important write-in, I believe.

-[X] Agree to share information between the Commission and the RAF. (+2 points)
-[X] Agree to begin stepping up the campaign against reactionaries. (+3 points)
-[X] Provide financial aid to the Red Army Faction. (+3 points. -2 Resources per month, may cause a political reaction if discovered)
-[X] Ask to be informed well-beforehand for any major Red Army Faction operations. (-1 points)
-[X] Ask that certain categories of actions such as the taking of hostages or attacks on churches be restricted. (-4 points)
-[X] Ask that they do not even consider attacking members of the SPA. (-3 points.)

If they avoid attacking SPA members, give us fair warning to their major operations, and agree to stick to certain categories of action (which should be stressed is a deal breaker if they infringe on) then I'm fine giving them information and financial aid, as well as promising to continue targeting reactionaries. After the social justice turn we were planning on doing something along those lines anyway, since Long and the SPA are a much bigger threat than the Feds at the moment.

"May cause a political reaction if discovered" combined with us not really having any sort of secret budget funnel for this sort of shady shit makes me very leery of providing financial aid. Just from a pure pragmatic standpoint I don't like the idea of making such obvious connections between the SPA and RAF. Given what actions they're already committed, having the SPA implicated would have some nasty consequences.

If we stop them from attacking SPA members they will instead inform us of their corruption, which let's us take action as we see fit.

I like this as it balances support and restraint

Do we even have a secret budget action? The one that seems closest talks about 'embezzling.' Was that meant to be about secret budgets, @notbirdofprey , or about new ways to send state revenue to the party?

"He will also probably want protection for RAF agents committing their acts of total war"

I wonder if we consider giving legal support to RAF also?

So... would they be satisfied with stuff like the Radicalization pipeline? Because if we can fulfill their demands with actions like that it'd be great, since we wanted to do those sorts of things anyway.

I'm just worried their demands will expand on that front to trying to break the Parliamentarians or something.

Alright, if we can do "marginalize reformists" with actions like Radicalization Pipeline and such, which we planned to do anyway (along with stealing Floyd's base out from under him), then it becomes a concession that we can give. In that case, we can also take making sure they're not attacking SPA members.

That being said, I'm also still voting for the more conservative option as well. Just in case further info makes us second-guess going for restricting reformism. But overall the plan that adds in marginalizing Reformists should keep the RAF sufficiently under control and off of their more extreme actions without tying the SPA directly to them, with all the messy consequences thereof.

I think the white gloves plan could be added to include focus on taking down reformers and add in the write in for knowing major plans prior to them going off.
