[X] "-Seles that we're regrouping the fleet at Chandrila."

Quasar Fires are a neat little design, and fighter spam is a proven tactic.

Plus, the inherent sexiness of fighter aces, and Seles is apparently an easily excitable daredevil, so she sounds fun.

What's better than one Fascist Girlboss? Two Fascist Girlbosses!

Chapter 4 commentary (I guess?)

I could swear that there was a carrier counterpart to the Imperial and Tector classes, but no matter how hard I looked, it just wasn't a thing. Quasar Fires and strikecraft heavy variant Vindicators are too small and Secutors are too large.

Oh well. In any event I wanted to fill out Vaere's fleet, because it felt a bit light for an Admiral commanding a major component of a sector fleet on a special mission for the Empire and Vaere is trying to exert maximum control because Chaos Bad. So regrouping everything under her direct oversight it is.

You could go back into the past and re-use the Acclamator.

As Republic era vessels they'd be quite old by now, but it's not like Star Wars has rapid tech advance.

I seriously considered it, but there's no evidence that by 4 ABY frontline Imperial fleets were using Acclamators or Venators.

Victorys
seem to be the oldest units in front line deployment, and that's only barely.

Sele's group, in addition to being fighter heavy also has some decently heavy fleet elements in an Imperial-class star destroyer and two Vindicators. Those are not light ships.

The only thing we need to worry is that Imperial doctrine for fighters is to use them as "human wave" like attacks, expendable assets. Just resupply with new fighters from the production line later. Something tells me any strikecraft losses won't be easily replaced. I'm also wondering how many Quasar Fires are in this group.

Harst's group, being the heavily element, has decent strikefighter complement as well. While the Tector class doesn't seem to carry fighter elements, the pair of Victory class carries 2 squadrons each.

Barre's group has a heavy hitter in his Imperial star destroyer, but lighter capital ships. Seems like picking this group would be great for a hit-and-run (or hit-and-hyperspace) insurgent group.

Shara Vaere herself has a pair of Vindicators with each 3 squadrons of fighters. It seems like Admiral Vaera could use some more heavy fleet elements.

Looking forward to the upcoming defection.... more accurately throwing our ISB commissar out of the airlock.

What's a good (quest-relevant) source for the ship class information? I don't know my Victory-class from my Vindicators, (Star Destroyers are triangles, Super Star Destroyers aren't quite triangles), and this seems to be a level of detail relevant to the quest.

Wookieepedia is a good source with information from both canons listed in detail.

Spacedock is a YouTube channel with good overview videos on the Victory, Imperial and Quasar Fire-class ships, among others.

To summarise, the Victory class is an older star Destroyer model, smaller than the Imperial but still heavily armed for space combat and planetary assaults.

The Vindicator has less available information, but it's a powerful heavy cruiser with some TIE-fighter carrying capacity.

The Quasar Fire is the most distinct as it's a small, lightly armed ship that is basically four large hangars with attached engines. It's not particularly good at anything else, but each ship can carry up to 48 fighters.

The Imperial is the classic Star Destroyer seen in the films.

Type "<class name>-type" into the search bar of Wookieepedia and autosuggest should pop out a relevant article. Keep in mind the articles are sometimes divided between "Canon" and "Legends" tabs with differing info in each sometimes.

Ah. I would have like an Onager-class.

Oh well.

im looking for loyalty here more than anything, and this guy brings the best loyalty of the selections. and, of course, the most heavy guns is a nice bargaining chip.

How to make an Imperial into a carrier:

-Strip out the ground forces, the AT-ATs, the modular base.
-Replace them with fighter hangers.
-Use high-quality fighters, like the Advanced and Defender models, the StarWing, and the other low-production high-cost imperial fighters.
-You're probably carrying like two or three hundred of them, that's plenty.

You can't spell girlboss in aurebesh without "strike craft", probably
