ADS will help with finding a crew for the whaling ship USS Hunger.

If we put off Decimation again, AND put off dealing with Lord Protector as a result of having to find the next target, I'm just going to stop voting, period. Y'all can still have Arete because why would I stop drawing Rihaku quest stuff, but ain't nobody's votes getting my omake support ever again in this quest if I ascend and join Priest and Addio in the Not Voting gang.

What a shameless method of attempting to protect Adorie!

Where you're going you won't have any use for ships! Bait, however...

Hey guys, I have a suggestion. What if we bought All-Defeating Stance to improve our chances here?

What do you mean we are? I don't know how to react to this.

I just wanna day, if Bait and Tackle wins we should 100% not purchase it because we'll have one more update to buy Artifacts or whatever and we can snap buy ADS anytime. So it's better to stay flexible with out options in that situation.

Hmm. If we take Bait and manage not to spend, we might be able to afford FDS, which is basically designed for this kind nonsense. Not sure if it would be better than Overwhelming ADS for this but it's worth considering.

Doesn't it seem like Foe-Defeating was created later in the Forebear's life than All-Defeating? Since he notes its a novel way of arranging body and essence, sounds like it would be the very first Stance of his, at least to me.

How do we drag Priest and Addio off of their thrones in the peanut gallery and back into the brine-encrusted trenches where we voters toil, anyway?

It's simple. We must Shatter Heaven the only way we know how: with abject stupidity.

We must engage the self-defeating stance, and upgrade it to a level where the consequences shatter all limits and will adversely affect not only this quest, but all Rihaku quests to come. And we need to make sure this impossibly ridiculous case of pure hubristic self-destructive madness is leading by a large number of votes, but with greater votes still having been name-voted to Priest and Addio.

They will be forced to choose between actually voting, and allowing the entire greater Rihaku-quest verse to be destroyed by our madness.

This is an absolutely moronic plan, which means that it's perfect. Only with such an utterly stupid plan could we hope to upgrade the self-defeating stance.

vote Nameless Prince/Justice/Muscle Wizard/etc. in chargen lmao

That said, they are very comfy in the Vote-Severing Realm after their Tribulations, are we sure we wish to summon them from the Peanut Gallery Empire?

edit: actually, ImperatorV you may be on to something lmao, but can the thread handle their wrath afterward?

For the sake of following through on goals if nothing else, let's not skimp out on the objective twice on a row.

I'm still inclined to think it's giving birth but maybe combat types get building sized Armaments and Progression types get continent sized? Or maybe it shrinks? Either way let's just get this done.

If only we could have just killed that one dude and then taken our sweet time on this.

Addio... is a Cultivator? Sorry, have to reboot my brain after hearing that.

We can always grab Monster-Defeating, it's cheaper and made for situations like this, could be compatible with other expenditures or simply saving 7 Arete for Fish-picks. I'm not eager to add another Artifact to Hunger's arsenal so soon after getting Tears, though, it feels like we should develop that more and hold out for either a Praxis Technique or something better.

Hm, is Bait and Tackle's coloration because it's Gisena's preference or the option that best utilizes her? Extracting meaning from colors is a fool's game at the best of times, I'm just thinking about her perspective for these choices. Cast Line is likely what she expects, Hunger rushing into battle and putting himself at risk to save the most possible lives. Maybe afterward he'll say some shit like he's 'done with taking on requests for strangers with no expectation of reward'; instead, he's evolved (?) to the point where no request is necessary, he'll just hurl himself into danger because it comes with rewards! Incentive structures: not even once.

Now Attempt Diplomacy, that's where the real reactions would be found. I almost want to vote for it, not for the lore or utility or leveraging Hunger's Charisma. Just to see Gisena have visible emotions for once.
Come on guys, what use is supernatural charisma if we can't talk to the fish?
Who do you think Hunger is, Aquaman? Maybe if we had Outer Darkness we could plan on being able to commune with giant monsters, but we don't.
