Somewhat around that time, yes.
... And I just remembered that it's currently the year 2287 in Quest. derp.
Somewhat around that time, yes.
Augh, I thought we were done with fetch quests!
So, go to the middle of nowhere to receive a mystery box. Heavy risk, but the priiiize...
Not just to receive a mystery box. We'd also have a chance to do some advertisements. Maybe sell her some maintenance and/or guard bots?
A Silver Shroud fan, huh? Well, at least Kent Connolly is going to be happy about finding a fellow fan.Hello there! And welcome to the first live broadcast of Radio Nowhere! It is me, your Mistress of Mystery, Emily Marqui! Transmitting out of Warwick on the coast, just east of Quincy! I'm here to brighten up this miserable wasteland with puzzles, brain teasers, and good ol' music nobody's ever heard in over 200 years!
Roger Warwick is dead? I wonder how that happened. Anyway, looks like the Institute needs to find another farm to test their crops. But before the fun times can commence, I do want to give a special shout out to the Warwick Household for letting me set up here. June Warwick especially. Just a simple single mother keeping the farm running after the death of her husband.
I hope this counts as knowing their location. An Eyebot+Pod should allow Xin to talk with the ghouls at the Northern Star. And Emily, of course.Oops! That's probably not important. Ah, there it is! What walks on four legs in the morning, two legs in the afternoon, three legs in the evening, and no legs at night? If you know, come by the radio station, and you'll be rewarded. Just make sure you stay clear of the Northern Star. Whoever's in there doesn't like people coming by.
We should definitely send an Eyebot. Besides talking with the crew of the Northern Star, this would allow us to talk with Emily about getting some advertisement for Xin Industrie into her show.Well, there's no rule saying you have to go yourself. You could just send an Eyebot with the answer, or if one of your employees is going that way, you could tell them to collect the prize.

I don't think we should send an employee, mainly because only Xin speaks Norwegian. If we visit that area we should use as many opportunities as we can. So I would suggest we send an Eyebot+Pod so Xin can talk with the crew of the Northern Star and Emily.Well, We're Glad we got the Raider. We're going to need to send people out to various locations.
Well, Yes I do agree with You somewhat. However, If We Send Andrew There it will make for a more effective advertising Stint, then just having an Eyebot+Pod alone. This will also ease any tension that such a transaction would have. And He already has an Eyebot all we'd really need to do is build a pod. Entirely based on the divergence point. Yes, Yes they do. it was 1917 when the first movie came out. It was 1945 when the divergence occurred. So we know that it's based on similar technology as our own at that time. Yes Darik is right. But, Movies would be done by the three-color process at the very least.Hey, this is going to be a very dumb question, but is there any references to VCRs or any recording medium for television in Fallout? I know there's a mod that I'll probably reference if need be, but I want to make sure there isn't something Radiation King made before hand. Because I cannot believe that VHS or an equivelent was not made by the Great War.
There aren't vcr's sadly. Casette tapes were the norm for the universe, computers ran on vacuum tubes and punch clock wheels.
Seriously, remember how in game holotape's are so prevalent? Thats how people record things, with holotape's. All audio, no visual.
Visual transmission and recording was a thing, yeah. But think 1950's style recordings, giant fragile tape reels and radio broadcasts.
They had tv, yeah, but no video players.

There is something that could be more promising. There's a certain brain hotel in goodneighbor where you can see the memories of others. Theoretically someone could employ that to watch T.V. Shows, and movies if the details were recorded in a way suitable for the machine. This might be a brain only watching that T.V. Show for years, or other wise. Thanks for the assist! Yeah, I figured it was a bit of a vain hope, but thought I'd ask. Probably won't use the mod I was planning either, as there would be no way to make it lore friendly. Good thing I asked early, since I'll need to change slight bits of the update. Not a big deal. I can just use books for what I need.

Edit: There are other instances where you literally get dropped into a "memory" of an event. There's the army one as well, and the virtual reality. Both of these require extensive recording equipment to pull off though these have no actual implications they could be used for T.V. Shows in general.
