Without Magic Defeating Stance we need magic defense, of the options presented that means Iridescence, I would love to be able to take Pearlescence along with, but that's another 6 Arete, and I wont ask the thread to generate that much.
My second choice would be to take Rank, and save, but I think we need the defense.

Augment Dominion doesn't stack with Crimson Flare, to clarify. That's why it gets refunded.
Ring of Power choices are mage options! Maybe you should change terminology since this keeps cropping up!
Hunger's Tyrant-war flashbacks make him more effective! Just look at him, ruthlessly pursuing the best strategy against the old man! If only the Tyrant had fallen so easily...

We've gotten really OP. Very sad that such a cool potential character was killed off before we learnt anything other than his cool old man status.

Operation "Stop being a Ranklet" is a go. We won due to our mighty ring. With those two options we would be at 5.32 normal Rank and 7.32 Blood rank. Also when fighting we have +0.25
EDIT: It seems it Augment Blood does not work with Flare - shame

...Hey, would inverted wound penalties apply to complications? It'd be funny to get 400% resistance to poison effects.
Anyway, going with this for now:

Arisen Blood applies only at full HP, and while we can heal super fast all the enemy has to do is make one injury and we are briefly only as strong as before this fight. We'd get a second round of full power while Second Form is at full HP, but even with that I'm leery of it.
Vigor Incarnate is a solid boatload of Protection, even more important with Evening Sky being down right now, while Fierce Quickening is just good in general.
An alternative course of action would be Foment Rebellion with Vigor Incarnate to get Gisena support to deal with all that magic, and actually use Guile-Defeating Stance for something.

Taking advantage of the Pick Refund once we save the Azure Ring. The rank increase is to keep our Rank on par. It was lagging behind a ton before Crimson Flare brought it to 5, so we've got to keep it moving forward.

I feel like most of us are rushing Cut due to the emotions from the update and once we've start objectively viewing the options the more people will go to Rebellion.
My concern with boosting blood rank is that enemies without blood exist. Also it'll get refunded the moment we rescue the Azure ring.

Actually, What Rains May Come lets us take a significantly more aggressive approach since we'll only become stronger as we become more wounded (and our regeneration ensures there's no serious risk of attrition). Moreover, this lets us save for a Stance, which could mean the difference between life and death against enemies of all sorts. The value of having a panic button when fighting a civilization of Soul Evokers.

Avecarn was on the borderline of 2/3 picks with your new EFB-granted strength. Guile-Defeating helped indirectly in that Avecarn's Rank instincts told him that feinting and deception ploys were pointless, so he had to go brute force. Which works poorly when your opponent has nigh-unblockable attacks, halved wound penalties, fast healing, and the ability to not only cripple your healing but make you bleed out.
Avecarn had solid, powerful basics, but Hunger has too much bullshit on his side... how sad, the old stalwart crushed by youth and unseemly supernatural vigor!!
As long as they can bleed out and don't substantially outrank you, yeah. It's pretty nice!
Social had decent odds of working, but things don't always go that well. Perhaps if Hunger could have Slice'd Fate...
On one hand Cut plus Arisen Blood means we can go for the ring, put it out of its misery and power down their Soul Evokers while our Second Form thats been brought up to speed serves as safety net against any still effective defenders or in case the Immortals don't die.
On the other hand Forment Rebellion plus Feat: Shameless/Ennobling means we can still farm the remaining High Marshalls and the Immortals for powerups and either finally get that +Rank or give them a taste of what we can offer.
