It's a little weird that Truth and Moon are both Azure, right?
So the Azure Ring is also a Ring of Time. Not too surprising given the stuff we've seen when entering the Temple, but fighting such effects is going to be annoying.

Maybe? Time does make sense, given the moon's cycles. But I don't think it's certain at all. The word Time being capitalized could be because the Azure ring has that domain, but it equally could be because all rings capitalize all domains regardless of whether they own that particular domain or not. Like how we capitalize major cities regardless of whether they're in our nation or a different nation.

Truth seems more likely for color reasons. But yes, truth and moon seem like a poor fit. Moon is about change, truth is unchanging. Moon is about madness, truth is about sanity. Putting them together only makes sense if you're in some lovecraft-universe where truth and lunacy are closely related.

This reminds me of Hunger's musings back when he realized the truth of the Call after getting Chief Dominion, saying that a contest of primacy was one thing, but a Ring would not accept seeing another suffer like that. Or something to that effect. Seems like not everyone is as honorable as Hunger...
Or perhaps there are no other rings in range that have heard its cries. Hunger stumbled on it by sheer chance, after all.

Could be, but it's called Time in the same quatrain as the Hunger Ring is called such, so I would tip on Time being its main domain like Hunger is our Ring's.

'Turned their backs' sounds pretty intentional to me.

Gondar is weaker than Vanrier was, and we are stronger than Vanrier was. He'll be a painful fight we'll probably get a moderate condition on, if it turns into a fight.
Complication:

Vanrier was badly wounded when he fought us. Gondar's going to be in prime condition. Just because Vanrier could hit harder (what with having a conceptually irresistible attack that we were only able to deflect with an conceptually inviolate object) doesn't mean he was actually more of a threat.

For example, if it turns out that Gondar is the guy who taught the last archer that "how to be in several places at once bombarding us from all sides" trick, and he's better at it, then the fact that no one of his attacks is QUITE as dangerous as Vanrier's all-piercing thrust may not matter very much.

Vanrier, powerful as his attacks were, couldn't hit us from two or three different directions at once; if he could, we'd be dead.

At this point, we should be asking ourselves if 4 Arete is worth the risk of avoiding a difficult encounter! Also, I was under the impression that the Goldenrod Archer was the apprentice, not Vanreir.

Ffffuck.

I need to temper my discipline. Checked out Rihaku's p atreon and. Like, even the blurbs of blurbs is getting to me. Actual figurative comparison of a remittance's shadow.

M-m-muh Dao of F2P duuuuuuuude.

Selune tempting but have you heard of greed and snap-bought efbs where balance voters knifefight sword voters
also picking flare since I lean balance for now
I'd be interested to see what people come up with for magic based off me, though my presence fluctuates in intensity
suppose there's always the name basis

[ ] Soteriological Conqueror - You're not the only game in town, and you're about to find out why.

There is a... body, hidden deep within the doctrines of each religion. Its shape is unfathomably immense, its heart the size of universes. There is a being out there, somewhere in the vast stretches of parts unknown that is coming. Its name is Deliverance, and it is Salvation. You've done good work, immanentizing the teleological destiny of your first faith. Now, it is time for you to do more. Finish the job.

*Gain power from each religion given Salvation. The scope, versatility, and nature of the power depends on the amount of people saved, the religion in question, and the way you accomplish this deed. For example, enlightening an entire faith and bringing everyone to Nirvana will grant you the power of supreme karmic luck and an irrepressible radiance of charisma and compassion, while reaching into the Samsara and obliterating the cycle of reincarnation will grant you a special title and a total inviolability of the soul and ego. However, it is important to note that you yourself cannot be part of this Salvation, as you have stepped outside the bounds of reality and are as such not subject to the destinies you ferry.
*These effects are normally esoteric in nature, and stem from neither magic nor force of will nor physical means. As such, they are tremendously reliable, immune to all nullification and battleground maluses.
*Picking this system starts another build vote, where you decide upon the nature of the first religion you saved.
*With each religion saved, you become... different. Your pace lightens and your thoughts quicken, and you become detached from mortal concerns. Magical effects warp and nullify before you, and supernatural beings revert to mundanity. What is going on?
*When you finish your duty, the being awakens. This is unquestionably the best ending, rearraying causality and fate to achieve maximum utility respectful of the rights of each sentient individual, distributed evenly across the universes. There will be no more suffering, no more hatred, no more war. There is only peace, and the union of an infinity of souls singing the song of peace and maximum utility.
*You can never be saved.
That's really cool! I actually really like it, and find it fitting, even if I'm unsure of how it relates to me. Maybe due to my avatar?

Lack of personal salvation for universal salvation is but a small price to pay, and one paid willingly.

It seems like the more Salvation I bring, I become more and more detached? Perhaps it's a form or duality: once I'm in this path, as long as I don't permanently die, I'm destined to become Salvation.

Deliverence is the path that I'm in, of the promised Deliverence, and should I fall, someone else will eventually take the burden and success for the Deliverence is inevitable, and Salvation is what I will become in time.

The reason that I can't be saved is because I will become the saviour. But who saves the saviour?

Likely best to start with the smaller religions and cults, much easier and given access to some measure of power, which in turn would give some degree of authority and ability to help enlighten further individuals.

Maximum priority, of course, would go towards not dying. Total universal eternal happiness takes priority over all else, but I feel like morality would be somewhat important, so to not stray from the path of salvation.

Or perhaps salvation is reachable regardless of methods.

Once the job is done, the multiverse awaits, and above that, and above that... eventually, salvation shall reach all, the true golden ending.

Could be, but it's called Time in the same quatrain as the Hunger Ring is called such, so I would tip on Time being its main domain like Hunger is our Ring's.

I'd taken "Forgotten not, the debt of Time" to mean "The other rings owe the Azure ring for the time it spent suffering", not "The other rings owe the ring of Time", but it could go either way.

this presumptuously-named "Lord Hunger"

Do they know the names of the other rings? Is our name presumptuous because it's the name of a ring and they know it, or is it just the natural absurdity of a grown man demanding to be called "Lord Hunger"?

Also, I think it's become clear that wearing multiple rings is impossible. No way the rings are okay with sharing, and if you did it anyways you'd probably get multiple personality disorder.

oh this guy is vanreir's friend, huh
skimmed over that on first read
damnit now I have ideas
at least it's not directly contradictory I suppose
I'll sleep on it
work on it... not tomorrow, still behind on work but blocking issue didn't seem like something I could debug

It's because Hunger's a huge chuuni!

Also, I really hope wearing multiple rings is possible. I would like to bear several Rings, and become the Ringsbearer!
