I do kinda hate that Pristine Star has basically defacto became the only option in the running that actually heals Zee, because it's such an anaemic effect; god knows how long she's going to be basically comatose during the two weeks it's going to take filling her health back up.

??? Shine Bright is in the running fine and it heals in minutes. That's the wolf option which spends 4 arete.

[X] The Mire Wolf
[X] Evening Sky - Shine Bright
[X] Forebear's Blade - Second Stage

Changed my mind, mostly because this build unlocks final form and findross research, both of which I want to get anyways. Though I feel like we're way too early on to be unlocking the final form; we should have like 3 different forms at a minimum if we're going to be a proper end-game boss. Hopefully the so-called 'final' form isn't actually final.

Edit: Fixed vote.

Given everything else, I've been convinced that this is likely the best option for now. The lack of ability to actively heal Hunger's companions is balanced by the ability to more ably neutralize threats to them. We'll simply have to pick up something that provides more advanced healing capabilities in the future.

[X] Evening Sky - Pristine Star
[X] Forebear's Blade - Second Stage

Not confident about vanguard anymore. Also, sorry, expect some art delays, things have been getting rough where we are. Stay safe, everyone.
Take care of yourselves, we value your safety and wellbeing more than art.

Sorry to say, but Pristine Star isn't the one that allows access to the findross chain, Shine Bright is.

I'm really starting to think those names are a bit too similar to each other.

You've confused yourself. It was the Shine Bright one that unlocks Findross.

Absolutely no need to apologize, you guys take care of yourselves and prioritize mitigating personal Apocryphal Curse procs.
Solipsistic entitlement from nobles? It's more likely than you think!
At least Letrizia's noble in more than just name, even if there are unanswered questions about her situation and she works for a possible NERV-expy...
If only the Apocryphal Curse were so easily evaded...
Ah, yes, the old 'that would be too easy' clause. As expected at it is entirely unwelcome!

Two highest plans right now are

[] The Mire Wolf
[] Evening Sky - Pristine Star
[] Forebear's Blade - Second Stage

[] The Mire Wolf
[] Evening Sky - Shine Bright
[] Forebear's Blade - Second Stage

Third place is decently behind and is a tie between

[] The Tyrant Beast
[] Evening Sky - Pristine Star
[] Hunger - Pitiless Maw

[]Plumed Offering
[]Undying Vanguard

Obviously I have an intense dislike of any Tyrant Beast plans, as the chance for death or crippling is 20% and that is way too high for a risk we do not need to take.

Both Mire Wolf options are okay. It's a question of spending 2 more arete to ensure the healing is done today or waiting weeks for Letz to heal.

Now that I'm considering it... @Rihaku: Since you keep bringing up Ber, would it possible to still take the pursue option? It has, after all, only been two hours if we pick the wolf, and the option had us rest off exhausted before we pursued anyway. In this case we can pursue with a second stage in our back pocket and our companions fully healed.

Hm... you could actually outright afford Form of Rage if you took Second Stage with an +Arete option or generated about .35 more Arete. I imagine that would be controversial though, since some people want to save up.

Hmm. I would be up for it! FINAL FORM beckons. The path to maximum rage for any "Hero" who wishes to defeat us!

It would be cool if each form we took between now and the final form upgraded the final form.

Like if we take the final form next it's equivalent to a 2 arete pick, and then we can't buy any more forms ever again for any reason. But if we take form of rage and THEN the final form, the final form is equivalent to a 5 arete pick or something. And if we take the form of rage, the form of midnight, the form of extinction, the secret form, and THEN the final form (so 7 forms in total), then the final form is something absolutely crazy.

It'd be so hard to reach your final form you'd never get to see it!

a difficult sell without a blurb or other info!
Don't underestimate our ability to obsess over options given limited information! We committed to the Truth based on the name alone and we're still wondering about the Logos and Immortal Awakening.

Speaking of names, we don't know many. Everybody in the previous universe is referred to by title: the Forebear, the Hero, the Tyrant. The first can't actually have been called such, in the days when he was walking around. Hunger's final strike did a number on his memories; he recalls conversations and weapons, but was the name of his nemesis consigned to the pyre with everything else?

[X] The Mire Wolf
[X] Evening Sky - Shine Bright
[X] Forebear's Blade - Second Stage

this is fine I guess, wouldn't mind a pristine/7 arete option either
maybe I'll write some reactions later because idk what I'm doing but self-logged hours lend themselves to slacking off quite a bit
so many zooms though

Speaking of "If only you guys had X more Arete", was the signature stuff still going?
Finally got around to updating mine, though my usage of this site is currently far too anemic to qualify for more than the .05 reward and I'm also not sure when it gets handed out.

It'd be so hard to reach your final form you'd never get to see it!
Poor Ishida. Or am I misremembering something there? It's kinda been a while.

WIth the benefit of hindsight, Unshattered seems better and better. Power enough that, for the short-term, we wouldn't have to worry about low-cost arete options, allowing us to save for EFB equivalents, and the sheer sinergy of Unshattered+Once and Future, leaving us with a effective 9 rank, which would allow us to probably outcale the aprocyphal curse. If, on top of that, we were conservative with arete use, we could take Ruling Ring, which would more than make up for the loss of to shatter heaven.

Power begets power indeed.

Of course, we couldn't have really know about arete and what options would be availabe in the future, but such is life in a Rihaku quest.

For the vote itself:

[X]Plumed Offering
[X]Undying Vanguard

Gives us a bit of power for dealing with the wannabe gamer in the short-term, helps our allies, no real risk...just covers all of our basis, really. And for all of those that want to go after the Tyrant, i recommend playing Xcom, lost far too much soldiers with stupid risks in that game.

Anyway, besides that, please sign me up for the .05 signature! I only now noticed what an signature actually is...

I'm going with the Shine Bright + Second Stage choice for this, and assuming we don't take any complications. Mostly just asking if this is a possible decision.

Dunno about others, but I'd be all for getting Form of Rage if it allowed us to heal Letrizia.

Also, assuming that Form of Rage is additional 7AP would that mean that we could take another 2+7AP combo? Something like Undying/Shine Bright has very powerful Gisena-focused synergy, for example(make her more durable then give her regen and even help her evolve etc.).
