From the Hidden City (Warhammer Lizardmen Temple-City Quest)

Duelist isn't a bad trait to have though. Outside of an Eternity Warden, most Slann don't have any kind of close in defense. Magic makes up for a lot, but it doesn't stop our toad from being very squishy. Duelist lets us surprise those who think a Slann is useless in close quarters.

I'll admit, i can be convinced to throw that aside.

The thing is, what i dont get is why we are specializing like this. Slann are masters of All of the Winds, having a specific focus is sort of odd. Mazdamundi can do wonders with Geomancy, but hes a Second Gen who learned from Lord Kroak himself. Thats his thing.

Being a Third Gen made as a teacher feels like Qhaysh would be ideal. After all, both Elves and Dwarves make use of Magic, if in different manners.

I don't consider that valuable enough to use one of our very limited trait options on.

For a name how about Tateti?

It's the spanish version of tiktakto.

Brainflash, just had a thought as to how Apiarist could be used in battle. Our Bee's are likely not just bee's, but creatures farmed and tended by us for a very long time. As a bonus, i expect our Bee's to be useful as aMagical Focus, turning them from regular bee's inti literal Magic Bee's. Imagine a fire aspect Slann with Apiarist, turn the Bee's into Flaming Bees...

Or well, Hysh makes Anti Daemon Bee's. Ghyran would probably grant us Regenerating Bee's, and...

i could go on, but Apiarist is really a rather good idea my friends.
 
I support any plan with Apiarist on the basis that having a hobby would probably help our Slann keep awake for longer periods of time. Tinkerer, Smith, and Mentor might also fit the bill.

Your magical focus represents an area of particular ability, not to the level of someone like Mazdamundi because you're a third gen and you weren't taught by the literal first born Slann.

Basically it's just a way to further flavor and play into specific themes.

Lord Macuiltotec is one of the few Slann Priest who prefers to cross blades with his foes rather than bombard them as many of his kin tend to do. It also said that he is the only slann to slay a thousand greater daemons by hand using is mastery of Aqshy wind to augment his battle prowess although many other say that he is cheating by having all contender brave his shield of fire which often seriously injuries any who would approach him. However it was this very shield that prevented his entourage from protecting him and led to Lord Macuiltotec losing his arm during one of his many duels. It was from this indecent that Macuiltotec started to make armor and weapons so that his personal guard could stand beside him and weather the raging inferno that appeared around him when ever he went into battle.

And maybe we could invent machines that radiate Hysh, making just being near them damaging to daemons/undead.

So they can't stay back, because they'll get blasted by lasers, and they can't get close, because they'll get weakened by that and then finished off by our soldiers :evil:
Sounds like a perfect way to screw chaos over from both a distance and cqc

For one idea, how about a trait related to commanding armies? Given that, as far as I'm aware, Slann usually function as magical artillery on the battlefield and leave leading the troops to the Saurus, a Slann that personally directs his soldiers would be notable.
Oop, I realize I meant to actually answer this a little more.

Basically, a trait just about leading armies isn't specific enough, because due to the situation you're in it's to be assumed. Now if you had an idea for trait about leading armies in specific ways, that could be a trait (write a description, slap a name on it and i'll be able to give a yes or no).
