Under the Open Sky (CWMGQ Spinoff)

Dubious power up item that exists as a paradox in a corpse that didn't have the events leading up to it happen, fight (And die) against grey for XP(?), or diplomance.

We actually have a good set piece for talking even as the option for it states itself.

Oh, duh. That's a Gehaburn fragment. Gold got one as well in the main quest when Red killed us/SC and she found the crater.

On the other hand I thought of a way to maybe beat Grey? Talk to and fight her again and again until we break her from looping through her killing a weak magical girl who looks up to her and she saved when we were a kid? Maybe.

Implacable ftw?

Need to make sure she doesn't go for Gehaburn though... We might be the best choice to absorb it? Pioneer plus Implacable could make us more resistant to its influence. And she can't (or at least has a much harder time) killing us with it that way.

SAB has a point there, and I am curious if it is possible to fight Grey.

[X] Grab and fuse the mystery blade to prepare for a fight!
-[X] Fight defensively and as minimalist as possible to gauge your opponent; Grey is unlikely to leave an opening, but she might if she underestimates you; exploit it if she does
-[X] Explore whatever power the mystery blade grants upon being fused, and use it if this appears like it would give you an edge

Summit has no direct counter to her stuff, but Gehaburn might give her what she needs.

[X] Start gushing about how she's your hero
-[X] What will you try to negotiate for? (write-in)
You think you have the hilt of the blade she gave you somewhere.
Oh so tempted.

[X] Teleport to the prison cage and attempt to enter it!

She doesn't know who we are yet, so she shouldn't be using the right interdiction method to keep us from grabbing the prize.

Problem with that, there's 9 of them:
Solid Core's motionless body lies at the bottom of the impossible crater, impaled by nine swords that emanate power.

--[X] Your sister looked for a specialist to release your sister from the trap they are in, which currently had no known key because the inventor of said trap died. Well then, here I am! Trap defuser Magical Girl Lockpick! Paid by your sister to release your sister from the trap thingy! Now take me to the trap thingy.

--[X] Ask why she should't touch the blades.
--[X] Weren't both Solid Core and Goddess Grey supposed to be in the prison with everyone else?
--[X] Try and convince her to let you break the prison since Goddess White should still trapped in it and you're sure despite everything else Goddess Grey still cares for her sister

I'm not confident this will work but I'm pretty sure this is going to have to take multiple resets anyways so might as well get some information and attempt at talking first since I imagine a few resets of fighting will make Grey much less likely talk.

Is it greedy that I want to beeline for fusing the blade? A persistent power boost could be very helpful to get in as early a loop as possible. Alternatively, we could focus on gathering information and otherwise write this loop off entirely.

I feel like the blade sticking around resets is a bad thing not a good thing since that implies it's sticking around with us forever and considering it probably comes with mental effects we should be super wary of fusing if we don't have to.

Could we pick it up without fusing, in order to hopefully safely test it out without permanent effect?

Well yes. Gehaburn, in the story it is from, is a sword that gains power from slaying goddesses (CPUs) and has some mental influence stuff going on. Though that only showed up in the remake of the game, so eh.

We know nothing about Gehaburn here other than it appears on death of Solid Core and Gold has one.

I also pointed out that we have both Pioneer and Implacable. We easily have the top percentile of magic affinities that's going to both be able to notice its influence and be able to tell it to fuck off.

Maybe but Gehaburn here from what little I have read of Nepgear's quest is a part of some real high grade shit, iirc it's a Concept level fragment inside the Fragment of [PEACE] that Nepgear is, which sounds completly out of our weight class so even if our abilities help I'm not sure fusing it into our soul will let us able to stay completely sane given Anna's already mental issues.

A multiversal concept got killed, and shrapnel from its corpse landed inside [PEACE]. That's what Gehaburn is.

Not true, you know this from Solid Core's sheet:
Gehaburn
-During combat, Nepgear can kill a friend to gain a stacking x2 multiplier to her offense for the duration of the combat arc. Every friend she kills increases the stack by another x2 multiplier. Friends killed by Nepgear cannot be effected by the Reincarnate ability, or any of it's derivatives.
Wail of Madness
-Identify Gehaburn?
-Kill 3 Friends
-10xp
Allows the damage multipliers from the Gehaburn Effect to permanently remain.
