Makoto-san being distracted by things isn't the most unusual thing in the world. From what you can tell, he uses about half of the total budget for public transportation. Before he moved in, you didn't even
know that SEES had a budget for public transportation, and then he just took all of it so he could go randomly talk to everyone in town and still get to that bookshop he helps out at by closing time.
It's a bit odd, but given who he shares an Arcana with, you're willing to write it off as just a Wild Card thing and be done with it. For all you know, all Fools are some variety of strange and/or insane.
...Honestly, I can't even argue with that. If you think this is strange, try getting four or more of them into a movie theater.
But this is different. This isn't just him running all over town to talk to people, or buying out the soda machines just in case of emergencies that need lots of magic, or even that time he randomly threw a Jack Frost hat at Akihiko-san. You aren't entirely sure what
happened to said hat afterwards, but something tells you you're not going to be seeing it again.
Today, Makoto-san has brought out a notepad, and is trying to seriously take notes, only for everything to turn into little doodles of Shadows and some of his Personas.
I can't help but wonder if he would have liked talking to Chidori-san. He may have preferred the Music Club, but maybe he would have taken both, if he were given the chance.
He doesn't seem entirely happy by this outcome. "Are you trying to do something?" You ask. He blinks up at you, as if he hadn't fully noticed you were there.
"...Sort of? I don't really have much to work with." He shows you his notepad, and you have to try really hard to look past the drawing of Orpheus playing his harp on top of the page.
- Weird kid shows up in Dark Hour. Keeps showing up in my room. Still no idea how he gets in.
- Tells me there'll be an ordeal next week. Gives literally no clarification. (Here, a doodle of a Hanged Man doll Shadow is poking at the words. It seems mischievous.)
- The next week, a Shadow takes over a train. What the hell?
- Kid keeps talking about the end being near. Look, if I wanted to be in an apocalypse cult, I would have gone to live in the tower.
- Shows up again. Says there'll be another ordeal. Still doesn't clarify things.
And underneath all these notes is a giant pile of Jack Frosts having a snowball fight with a beetle Shadow. "...Were you trying to use this for notes or sketching?"
"Yes." This clarifies nothing, and you're sure he knows it. "You don't... have to pay much attention to the writing, really..." He's starting to look like he regrets everything about this conversation. You wouldn't blame him.
Is this about --------------? But that sounds a bit too creepy to be him, really...
Still... he's shown you all this, and you don't think he would have written it down for no reason.
Before you can ask about it, however, the doorbell rings. Somebody else could probably go get it, but... it's just a feeling you have, that maybe you should go get it yourself.
Even if you'd rather not leave your current conversation.
