Viserys IV: In the Cover Of Darkness:
Viserys IV: In the Cover Of Darkness:

Gathering the items was a very small affair and one that you took great care to get done as quickly as possible. The fear of the servants coming back was a very large, nagging thought in your mind, one that you did not wish to see come true.

The shrine to your mother was perhaps the only place you stopped to stare at long enough to recognize that this place would soon be but a distant memory. And you would be lucky, just like with Dragonstone, and King's Landing before, to ever see this place again, bespeckled into your mind like dreams and memories that plague you.

Your mother's crown, safely wrapped in cloth and placed into the bag, was perhaps the safest thing in the world, to your mind at least. It was deep within a backpack, next to a bag of meat.

You placed Ser Willem's Blackbook within your pouch, making sure it was safe away from the meat, so none of the pages were damaged.

"Dany, what are you doing, we need to go." You stated. "Where are you?" You raised your voice, trying to look for her in the darkness.

"Viserys." She whimpered, and you saw her again in the moonlight. She was carrying the box of rings that your mother had left behind for you, taken from her cooling body after she expired. Along with her favorite book, the book you taught her to read from, and the book that she enjoyed your reading to her every night so she can sleep. "Can we take this?" She asked.

For a moment, you thought about what else to take, the gold, the sword, the simple things that could help you survive out in the world. But then you saw her purple eyes, her frightened purple eyes. She was terrified of both your frantic packing and the desperation in your voice.

It made you realize the gravity of the situation that you were now in. You were no longer her brother, who helped her, while Ser Willem watched on, and acted as the grandfatherly figure that had the experience that you lacked.

You were now her sole caretaker, provider, and protector.

For all your pragmatic thinking, and fear, you could not just take everything away from her. "Give me the book Dany, we'll take it. You hold onto the rings, okay." You stated, taking the books from her small hands and placing the book next to Ser Willem's, before tying the bag off and making sure it was secured.

You almost forgot the coin purse that Ser Willem Gave you, along with the 50 gold dragons within it.

"Dany." you said her name quietly.

"Yes, Viserys?" She asked.

"Do not lose that. Do not let it go, and do not open it." You stated forcefully.

You took her hand and walked towards the door. "Viserys?" Dany spoke again.

"What?" you replied, looking down.

"Where are we going to go?" She asked.

"I don't know Dany. But wherever we go, I promise I will keep you safe." you stated.

"What are we going to do?" She asked.

You sighed, thinking about what to say without frightening her, but also reminding her that both your lives were in danger.

"We're going on an adventure." You stated.

And with fearful steps, you walked away from the house with the red door.

Forever.

Discovery by the Servents: 1D100 => 55 vs 1D100 => 37

You were lucky. The Servents voices came through as you left around the corner.

"Come on, I heard those two are worth a fortune to the Stag King!" One shouted.

"Why bother, they'll be dead without a caretaker anyway, and there are hundreds of men in the city who would kill us if we were to try to take them to the knight looking for them." Another stated. "Now shut up, and make sure the old man is dead."

You did not hear anymore, as you ran around the corner into the Bravvosi streets.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The night was quiet, and it made you feel uneasy. The Bravos would protect those who were unarmed from molestation, and it was a thankful thing as well. But there were only so many Bravos who wandered the streets, and many people, many desperate and evil people walked the city after dark.

Many were knives for hire, and many more would not hesitate to kill you if they were to discover your identities.

You sighed checking around the corners before finally sitting down. "We'll rest here till morning."

"Viserys… are there bad people after us?" Dany asked as she hugged you for warmth.

"I don't know Dany… I don't know." You stated. "Go to sleep, we'll try to figure everything out in the morning."

Sleep alluded you for a moment, but all that occupied your mind was safety. But soon the exhaustion was too much for you, and you fell asleep.

Reward: 50 Gold Dragons added to your inventory.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Item Safety:1D100 => 99

All Items were safe while you slept, and some merchant took pity on you, throwing a gold Dragon at you as you awoke.
--------------

You awoke to a coin being thrown at your face, a single gold Dragon. "Get out boy, take the girl with you, you're scaring away my customers." The merchant said in broken common.

"Oh… Sorry." You stood up and shook Dany awake. "Get up Dany, we need to leave."

Dany awoke and yawned. "Sorry, Viserys." She said quietly.

"It's okay Dany." You replied.

"What are we going to do?" She asked.

What are you going to do:

[]Go to the Port: You need to get onto a ship and get out of here. If there is a knight looking for you to kill you, you'd rather be as far away as possible from that man.

[]Go to the Tavern: You need some food, and a drink, anything tastes better than salted pork.

[]Read Ser Willem's Book: Ser Willem's Debt Book… You might as well give it a read, and find out what you can do.

[]March to the Sealords Palace: You have a name, a name Called Targaryen. Perhaps it might not be as powerful as it was when you were a small child, but that name still meant something.

[]Confront the Knight: Perhaps you can trick the knight into thinking you were someone else, and give him False Information.

[]Flee the City: There is a Caravan going to Andalos, and then to Pentos, perhaps you can flee with them.

[]Go to the Market: Perhaps you can find a way to make the Dragon's you have.

AN: Enjoy.

There's a time for everything. Reading books and doing accounting work with valuables in the middle of the street is neither smart or safe. A inn won't cost us that much money but the local innkeeper has every incentive to avoid allowing his guests from being harassed and we can buy food/drink, dye our hair and do whatever we need to without being shanked on the street.

Please vote for one action only.

We should stay in the city. Because Ser Willem's book is less useful outside it.

Right now, what we need is to not be stolen from, to not be recognized, and a place to sleep. Valyrian features aren't unheard of in Essos, but we should still begin dyeing our hair.

Then, we need to set up a short to mid term powerbase.

Other options seem too public. We will probably have to roll to avoid being robbed... but if we go to the tavern, we will have to make encounter rolls for the knight who probably wants us dead.

Fleeing the city is something I would consider, because it might get us out of Vary's web.

Write in's, unless specifically stated otherwise in the update, are not avalible.
Ah my apology.
As Magoose just said, not an option this vote. This is close though.
I actually would not want to be anywhere near a tavern. Taverns are loud and full of drunk people. Unlike an inn, any random bar fight could end with us losing everything on us. It's not the sort of place you want to be with large amounts of valuables.

Given the choices we do have I'm voting to just read the book quickly and hoping we find out something useful before proceeding.

The Reason it's a tavern and not an inn is simple: Inn's are full of sober people, Taverns full of drunks.

Who would you believe if two kids just walked into the place and started paying with gold, an inn, or tavern?

Ah, and one more thing... The Rumor/ Omake/ Whatever the fuck changes are happening in this world: That may come sooner then you think.

Especially when you either finally leave the city, or... well, you'll know.
