If you think that Garp would give even the remotest shit you clearly have not been experiencing the same character we all have. Hell Garp might just get in, go "No, no no that's wrong." and rant about the mechanics of Haki properly.

This is the same Garp who sat by and watched as his grandson 'Ace' was sent to be put to death under the concept of "absolute justice". He might seem like a big goof ball at times but he would crush your skull on the world government's say so.

Taking a restricted book out in front of him is only going to have it torn to shreds.

I could be wrong but it is all too likely.

The difference between the book and Ace's execution is that former is casual disobedience of the organization he is part of( something he is already doing) and the latter is outright treason. Garp is loyal to his organization on the big things. Not the small ones.

Is that really a gamble your willing to take when we could just as well read it when he gets off? Because Garp destroying the book is a possibility, though as none of us are the author we can't say how likely it is to happen.

Yeah, a while from here. Again I don't really see the risk. He could rip the book sure...but it seems far too controlling/strict for the man. If he does rip the book I will eat my own words.

The first is to get to know the new girl. The second is to get to know Future Grandpa and the third is because Luffy deserves a goddamn apology for the next couple of chapters.

Honestly, I feel like Tashigi and Garp aren't mutually exclusive. Garp's...well...Garp, and Tashigi's all about them marines.
