[X] Haki: Conqueror
[X] Skill: Close Quarters Combat
[X] Crew: Monkey D. Garp

There are way too many interesting options so i'll choose what seems logical with the flow of the story. Garp already noticed Taylors Conqueror Haki being used in the Marine HQ and she surely felt his own. I am positive she'd grab for the first chance to fix her speaking/fainting problem.
As for the Skill? That's the Garp way and he'll only teach in the way he is most familliar with.

One question though:
@RavensDagger : the combination of Haki & Physicality is not alloved, am i correct?

Also one last thing:
As the amount of people we "acquire" grows, so will the time we are able to spend with them shrink if we only ever have one interaction per person per "travel period".
Is there a way to increase the amount of interactions? Maybe in such a way that everyone chooses two people to interact in different things with but only the higher of the two will actually result in a skill increase while the second one is a social thing without physical bonuses?

Just using 2 lines with a "Crew:" vote does not work?
The problem is if you want ,for example, to see the ankward interaction with zoro and tashigi. If we do as you say, we can end with whatever involves tashigi and garp, because some people wanted to see the how the 2 new crewmembers ( tashigi and bartolomeo) get used to the crew routine, other wanted to see luffy and garp family shanenigans , and others wanted garp looking into nami past, but almost no one wanted the winning combination. Individually those 2 are the most voted characters, but not the most voted interaction

what I want to know is why Garp got grabbed, when less that a third of the people were voting for that option?
EDIT: it was only 28% in favor of garp

[X] Haki: Armament
[X] Physicality: Endurance
[X] Crew: Monkey D. Garp

I vehemently disagree regarding some of those responses on the vote. But I said before it's done and I'm ready to move on with the story.

*raises hand* I'm one of those guys. Except hoping for awkwardness between Zoro, Taylor, and Tashigi for various reasons. hehe.

Hm. There was some discussion before about reading the Haki book to everyone. Garp can instruct now, assuming he can be persuaded to do so.

But with these structured training votes how/can we vote for that?

If so, what would the collective benefit be. A guide to haki and training methods is a big deal. A one time level jump in all types (unless they can't use Conquerors)? Doesn't quite seem enough from a guide on training methods. Maybe also a means to get more out of training. Either doubling the rate of gain or 50% increase in gain per training. But these gains only go up to B, or something.

also we're keeping Garp, right? because imagining the series of events that would have to occur for that to happen is hilarious, as is Garp's reactions to everything they get up to.

Voting an You!

Vote results are tallied as such:
1. Winning vote
2. Second place vote (as long as it doesn't contradict the above and there's room for it in the chapter)
3. Third place vote (as long as it doesn't contradict the above and there's room for it in the chapter)
4. Fourth place vote (as long as it doesn't contradict the above and there's room for it in the chapter)

And so on. Results with less than 5 votes are ignored.

So, in this case.
1 Tashigi Joins -Wins
2 Bart Joins - Wins
3 Garp Joins - Doesn't contradict above... Wins
4 Bart Stays - Goes against Winning vote 2... Loses
5 Tahigi Stays - Goes against Winning vote... Loses
6 - Garp and Smoker end the Fic - Goes against Winning vote... Loses
7+ Below 5 votes, uncounted

EDIT: And yes, write-ins get a bit more favour sometimes, if they're sensible and will work in the plot.

Not that I'm criticizing this method, since it is in fact what I expected when I first saw the vote, but as a suggestion maybe split things like that into categories next time? Just to make clear how certain options might contradict or not contradict with others.

... there is literally no one this side of the New World that's really a threat to Garp. He's a fully fledged Haki user that's strong and fast enough to throw down with the Marine Admirals and win.

Heck, I'd put money on him beating Silvers given that he made his name fighting Gol D Roger multiple times with no conclusive victory, and Roger is the one guy who was probably stronger than Whitebeard...
Oh, absolutely. Garp has no opponent in Paradise, at all. I meant that none of the opponents were really much for the Strawhats. (I always read that "Stra-whats" for some reason). So Garp wouldn't really need to step in, and in fact, would likely give Luffy and his crew handicaps "for good training!"

In other words as the only way to prevent that was to specifically vote no?
Given that I usually don't keep up with the conversation and that was a write in I feel like I had no chance to weigh in on that.

That's kind of the pay-off of having write-ins at all.

Could you give me an example?

No insects as a handicap. That would take the sail out of our usual nonsense.

on the plus side we've got Garp for a limited amount of time
on the minus we've got Garp for an amount of time :V

pros
- expert on armament haki
-highly effective training

cons
-his training traumatized luffy
-likely to scare away Robin early on

Honestly I'm half expecting him to bail at the first major island after Reverse mountain, though even then that's probably enough to scare off Robin...

I suppose it depends on whether she recognised him when he's wearing a really gaudy Hawaiian shirt or not... or if his reputation for being a decent person is well known...

I'm now imagining Garp in a Loud Hawaiian shirt and Groucho glasses as a disguise so people won't bother him on his vacation.
EDIT: the people don't bother him because he's Garp
