First off, it's just blood eagle. Second off: The holy bible, the second most popular book of this era, at least in Europe anyway, is in Latin... we could... see lots of Christianization if you are going for the Pagan route.

Priests already know runic.
The Quran. Although that is mostly because of Southern Spain at this time (and will decrease rapidly in the coming decades once the HRE is formed), and because many of the Universities that would promote the growth of literacy in Europe at this time founded by the Christian world would not be founded for another 100 years, during the Iron Century.
