[] Use your new knife immediately to try and kill them.
-[] Start Chanting. You need your shield.
Seeing the Human Headed Dogs come for you was nightmarish. They had the bodies of wolves but held the skulls of humans, emoting humans with bladed teeth and bloodshot, tearful eyes. They were fast and they were coming in close, you reacted and holstered your gun before drawing your knife.
Your body moved automatically as you stepped forward and sidestepped the first Beast's lunge. You cut its throat before you saw the next one come for you as you jammed the knife into its side before ripping it out. You stumbled forward as you saw more come your way. One knocked you down and tried ripping your face off, only for you to move it aside and having it sink it's teeth into your shoulder. It hurts! It hurts!
You pushed it aside before another bit into your boot before dragging you hard.
You kicked it's face as it pulled you down before you removed your boot. It shook it's head before tossing aside the boot. The other monster rushed you and bit hard on your right arm. Pain....
Pain. You gasped as it tried to rip your arm off as you chanted.
"Cliffs at the Shores of World's End. I stand against Eternity. I am the Rock unmoved by Time's waves!" You cried out as bladed teeth sunk through flesh and bone. You kept going, enduring the pain,
"Strike me and feel retribution. Strike me and be destroyed! Manifest oh shield of Wisdom! Shelter me from my enemies! AEGIS!"
The shield formed and sliced through the monster's head, leaving you injured but this allowed you to transfer Aegis to your left forearm. You swung it and sent the last monster flying as your right hand refused to respond. Torn flesh and crushed bones could be seen through your wound.
It hurt. It was agonizing pain. You saw the man wolf snarl as lunged before you smacked it down. You knelt on its body before you raised your shield and brought it down. You raised it and brought it down once more, again and again and again.

You were caked in blood and gore as your shield was left stained from your kill. Your own blood mixed with the Beast's as you got up and staggered back. It hurt... It hurt so much. You were out of breath and dazed as you moved past the corpses and picked up your knife.
"Fuck," you cursed as you leaned against the wall and walked forward.
It hurt.
"Rider..." You whimpered as you left bloody handprints in the wall you leaned on.
Your shield continued to leave a trail of blood. You kept walking until you reached an overlook view. A flat area with two towers rising from each corner up ahead. You could see the lower parts of the mountain as you felt the chilly wind blow past you.
The moon hung overhead as you continued to bleed, leaving behind a trail of red behind you. You walked and noticed a way down. You decided to move towards it and descend the spiral stairs until you were greeted by another staircase.
You were to the side of what seemed like a great audience hall. No, a throne room if you were to correct yourself. You kept walking before you leaned on the railings for support. You let out a shaky breath until you reached the bottom and you stopped.
Bleeding too much. You had to stop the flow... You fell down your knees as you felt your heartbeat slow down.
"And so this is as far as you can go," A voice said before you noticed Conrad shift from the darkness to his youthful appearance beside you. His sharp teeth were bared in his cheeky grin, "An admirable trek... Though given what Caster saw of you, I expected something more interesting."
Was... Had he been following you? Since when? You blinked as you stumbled forward and fell down on your face. You were growing weaker... Aegis was already losing its physical form.
"The Boss Girl seemed really fond of you, you know? Letting you live this long. You must have made quite the impression," Conrad said as he grabbed you by your orange hair and lifted you up. It hurts...
The Apostle simply smiled as he looked into your eyes.
"Don't worry. You were an entertaining girl. I'll make sure you don't suffer," he said as his free hand morphed into a claw.
You blinked as your injured hand grasped your knife and pulled it. Conrad seemed to find this amusing.
Not enough damage. The blood loss wasn't enough. One more push.
"What are you going to do? Stab me, Mud Doll?" Conrad asked with a bemused smile.
You just needed to be on the brink of death.
"...."
"Oh? What's that?" Conrad wondered with a perplexed look.
Rider's smile echoed in your memories. Her stupid personality, her dumb back talk, her crazy ideas, her playful laugh and her understanding touch all rushed through your mind as you made your last move.
"Get fucked..." You told him with a smug sneer. You spun your grip on your knife and jammed it into your stomach.
That was the last push.

An ancient Magus raised his head to see the surface of the water within the bowl rippled. He leaned forward and narrowed his gaze.
"It came back?" He asked with a narrowed look. He soon came to an understanding as he stroked his beared, "The Doll has grown a heart. How fitting. Go on then, little Doll. Be free. There was little expectations from our Family but... Perhaps this was the push you needed."
