[] Tackle Medb. "No, Rider no! Bad kitty! Calm down! Calm down, damn it!"
She's going to blow the Cabin apart?! What was she, a Berserker?! No, you had to stop her somehow. Medb was about to to swing her sword when you rushed her side and tackled her. That made her stop as the two of you hit the ground with you grabbing her waist as she tried to recover.
"No, Rider no! Bad kitty!" You hissed as you ended up being dragged by her E Ranked strength, "Calm down! Calm down, damn it!"
"I will after I cave her face in! Stop acting so smug you Hag!" Medb barked as she tried swinging her sword.
"Well I suppose this meeting was inevitable. Suffice to say I was not intruding upon any of your properties. Practice restraint as a true royalty would, Medb. It's shameful to see you like this," Sarah said as she sighed.
"Damn you! What were you doing to this girl?!" Medb hissed as she let go of her sword and picked you up, "You were the teacher she's been mentioning?!"
"Indeed. What? Didn't you know?" Sarah asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Well we wouldn't want you to sense me as a Servant but now... Grrrrr..." Medb growled as you held her back.
"You two know each other?" You asked with a tired tone as you kept your Servant from killing herself somehow.
"In passing. However Brie, allow me to introduce myself. I am Scathach of the Land of Shadows," Scathach introduced herself as she stabbed her spear into the floor, "Mentor to Ireland's greatest Hero."
"The Witch of Dun Scaith," you blinked as you ended up freezing in place, "You're..."
"Cu Chulainn's Teacher. A bonafide Hero Maker similar to Chiron or Merlin," Medb grumbled as she relaxed, "And apparently a woman with a giant stick up her ass."
"I don't know about that but I do happen to have a giant stick," Scathach replied as she twirled her spear and pointed it at Medb, "Perhaps we could make the statement true for you?"
"Rider no. You'll get killed. She's killed Gods and Demons. You're a goddamned chump compared to her!" You warned as you tried pulling her back.
"Oh yeah?! Well I have beef with her!" Medb barked as she grit her teeth.
"She believes that the reason Setanta refused her advances was because of me," Scathach explained in brief.
"Can you for once try not to think with your lust, Rider?!" You groaned as Medb eventually froze and grumbled.
"But Cu-chan..." Rider whimpered as she fell limp.
Scathach raised an eyebrow and turned to you, "It seems like you've tamed her well. Color me impressed."
"Stop you'll make her cry," you said as Medb deflated so you had to drag her to the couch.
"I'm not going to cry! That Hag's just an eyesore!" Medb hissed as she dismissed her sword.
"I've been called worse," Scathach relented with a shake of her head.
You turned towards her and frowned, "I see. Given what knowledge I have I could see that."
Scathach moved to one of her chairs and sat there with a graceful move, "Well isn't that nice. Still it's most fortunate that this petty child decided to crash in once Hans has left."
"He probably noticed her coming," you said as you shook your head, "Given how we fight, it's no small secret on who this is."
"It can't be helped. What are they going to do? Shoot me with cheese?" Medb scoffed obviously in a horrible mood.
"Most likely yes. Don't underestimate how much Magi will use this weakness of yours," Scathach said as she crossed her arms.
"Don't lecture me, you dumb battle axe," Rider growled in annoyance.
"Rider please," you sighed as you pinched the bridge of your nose. You turned to the woman before you and asked, "Did you know that I know about you?"
"I could tell you were suspicious of my true nature but you never truly had hard evidence to act on it. Besides, I too was curious of your true nature," Scathach admitted as she nodded your way.
"A Doll..." You murmured as you held your chest, feeling your beating heart.
"Brie?" Rider asked with a concerned look.
"No, it's fine," you sighed as you shook your head.
"Is it now? This is a dire revelation on your existence. A Doll made solely to kill a person yet ended up gaining consciousness," Scathach replied as she gave you the same calculative look she had given you before.
"Wait what's this about?" Medb asked as she sat up.
"I met someone who knew of my circumstances... Hans Derrinsmith was the one who trapped me in that Bounded Field an broke me," you answered as you looked down your hands.
"The politician?" Medb's eyes widened before looking at Scathach, "What's your angle here?"
"I'm merely an advisor on my own mission. It's the sole reason I am here and away from my realm," Scathach answered as she met the Queen of Connacht's gaze, "But as of the moment I am allied with the man whom had trapped Brie before."
"Then do you know anything about it?" You asked her with a narrowed look.
"Frankly, no. Hans keeps his cards close to his chest. His plans, his Servant and even his Magecraft but he was the one who approached me into coming here," The Witch replied as she leaned back on her seat, "I merely guessed you were a random Master but to think this intrigue would go this deep..."
"So this Hans is the enemy then?" Medb asked you from the side.
"Not yet... But he does know a lot more than I do. Fighting him is inevitable until we can clear the city out of the vampires first," you said as you brought your hands together.
Rider glared at the Spearwoman on the other chair, "Why teach Brie? You had no reason to do so even if she was a random Master."
"I don't teach without seeing potential in others. She has some but it would take years to cultivate it... That potential will be enough to keep you two alive," Scathach replied as she smiled and crossed her legs, "You seem to have grown attached already, Eternal Lady. No doubt you would wage war for her too should she belong to someone else?"
Medb tensed up and grew red, "I don't know what you're talking about."
Scathach turned to you and nodded, "Again allow me to say it, I am impressed."
"Uh, thanks?" You blinked before Medb shot up her feet and grabbed your hand, "Whoa, hey!"
"We're leaving," Medb growled as she pulled you along, "Can't stand that old lady."
"That's the first time I've seen you make that face," Scathach said while she remained seated, "You could use making it more. You look more like a Queen with that than a spoiled brat."
Rider simply tightened her grip on you hand and dragged you outside. You walked through the snow and found one of Medb's bulls waiting in the cold. It shook off snow from its fur before turning to look at you and it's master.
"You really dislike her, huh?" You managed to say before Rider stopped before her bull.
"I'm not good with her. I also don't like seeing her stupid spear," Rider said as she glanced at you, "She's annoying. She presses all my buttons. I can't deal with that Old Hag and her lectures, thinking she's so better than me."
"Rider..." You murmured and she paused just as she was about to get up her bull.
"What? We need to go home," Rider growled as she turned your way.
"She did say I met the man who made me this way... And he told me to back out of the war," you told her in a calm tone. You held your hand on your chest as you continued, "He said my life would be spared that way."
"So... Are you going to heed his advice?" Rider asked as she frowned. Her amber eyes had a strange glint in them as she seemed to keep you pinned where you stood.
Snow began to fall from the sky.
[] "And let you go this deep in the game? That'd just be sad, won't it? I'd lose my roommate too you know?"
[] "We're in this together now, Rider. This doesn't change anything the slightest. So you better watch my back because I got yours."
