[] "Rider, kill him. Get him out of my sight."
-[] through telepathy, screw giving this guy any warning.
You stared at the Dead Apostle before closing your eyes. You didn't have time for this bullshit, you just want to live a quiet life. You didn't want the attention of some Dead Apostle or even True Ancestor! You want to bury Magecraft under the dirt and everything about the Moonlit world!
Which was why you found yourself irritated by the way this idiot was talking to you like you were someone worth his time. He was just going to kill you anyway! A quiet and normal life without having to think about your inhuman nature would be nice...
But if what it took was tearing down obstacles then you're more than happy to oblige. If that what it takes to keep your own skin safe then you'll do it.
"Rider, kill him. Get him out of my sight," you ordered as Rider kicked off the ground to dash forward.
Rider became a white blur before she closed in on the Apostle with her riding crop, only for a shadow to dash from the darkness and meet her. Rider's strike was blocked by the large frame of a familiar Apostle. Your eyes widened once you recognized him as the monster of a man that was killed the night you met Emiya.
"So... Peace was never an option," Conrad said as he hopped back, "Mr. Bel if you would please. Crush that Servant."
Your eyes sharpened as you ordered, "Rider, get back! That man's buffed!"
Rider heeded your word as she ducked beneath a swipe before jumping away. Hitting the ground in a roll, your Servant recovered before looking up to see the massive Apostle smash his fist over her head.
She narrowly dodged it before she hopped and slammed her foot against his side. The Apostle moved to sweep his hand to her head and nearly snapped it. Rider was sent sliding back before she caught her breath.
"What... The hell is that thing?" You asked as you narrowed your gaze.
"Caster's pet project for our Boss. Nice, isn't he?" Conrad chuckled as he placed a hand on his hip, "I call him Mr. Bel. Short for Belial Warrior. A creature fashioned from corpses and the blood of Apostles, mainly me. Caster's magecraft reanimated the body to follow my commands. Take it as a miniature Berserker."
"Rider, one hit and you're done for so do what you do best!" You said as you drew your gun.
Rider targetted Conrad himself as she weaved past the hulking giant before her riding crop was replaced by a slender spiral sword. She slashed at the Apostle only to have her strike miss as he jumped out of range. She turned and parried down the larger Apostle's hand into the ground.
"You're open!" Conrad laughed as he shot streaks of blood down at Medb from behind.
She was struck on her limbs, keeping her in place while you dashed to the side. You took aim and-
Targetted the solidified blood.
Firing. You fired five times and shattered the solidified blood pinning Medb in place. This allowed her to bend back and avoid the sweep coming for her abdomen. She was bleeding all over as she tried to get away.
You stood your ground and fired another shot at Conrad to which he weaved out of the way. You dashed in and grabbed Rider by her arm and pulled her away just as Conrad fired several more streaks of red light. Rider caught herself and grabbed you by the waist before she dashed away to gain some distance.
"Still up for it?" You grunted as she set you down.
"They're a bit harder than I expected but..." Rider smiled as she held her hand up.
Conrad and Belial stared at you then with the former tensing before jumping upwards. From the splashes of blood on the ground, spears and blades rose up as Warriors were born. Rising up from the crimson pools were a full group of Warriors whom pierced Belial from all angles.
The Dead Apostle grunted just as he looked to see Medb come at him at full speed. Her heel swung for his chin and shattered his jaw, making him jerk back from the hit as Rider landed before him.
She twisted her arm and thrust upwards before tearing a chunk of the Apostles chest off with a flourish. The Apostles blackened heart was expose for a Celtic Bowman to shoot through the chaos and pierce it.
The arrow had been inscribe with a rune of burning which ignited and swallowed the heart in a fiery swirl. Rider was then launched into the air by her Warriors where she spiraled down towards Conrad whom narrowly dodged her blow.
He slid back in response before catching his breath, "Ah, well now. There's more of where that came from!"
You and Rider watched as two more Belials appeared dressed in thick trenchcoats and bearing the same stony expression as if it had been carved from rock. You dashed forward as the Apostles came for your Servant.
"Cliffs at the Shores of World's End. I stand against Eternity. I am the Rock unmoved by Time's waves," you chanted as light gathered on your left side. Your magic circuits flared as you intercepted the Apostles, getting between them and Medb, "
Strike me and feel retribution. Strike me and be destroyed! Manifest oh shield of Wisdom! Shelter me from my enemies! AEGIS!"
The shield of light erupted from your left arm and shined. The Apostles slammed their fists into your defensive barrier and had their blows redirected back at them. The sheer force behind their swings crushed their own arms and blew them backwards before you bent over.
Rider rolled over your back and dragged her sword along the ground to thrust it forward.
"Spin," She ordered in a clear voice before the spiral sword twisted once, ripping through the air and shredding the two Apostles into bloody bits.
You stepped from her side and held up your shield to have the scarlet streaks bounce off your shield to the side. You staggered back before Rider hopped over you and shot straight upwards to chase Conrad.
He wasn't able to move out of the way before Rider got too close and ended up ripping his entire left side off. Conrad was sent flying down before landing on his feet before Rider hit the ground too. Looking down his side, the Dead Apostle grunted in pain before he shook his head with a chuckle.
"Cute. Seems like even Heroic Spirit of your tier still packs a punch, isn't that right, your Highness?" Conrad snickered as he cracked a cruel smile.
"Why you little leech," Medb growled as she stepped forward.
"Don't approach him. Stay with me," You ordered and Rider jumped back to your side.
Conrad smiled your way, "So you knew?"
"Who wouldn't notice that, dumbass!" You snapped as you jabbed a finger towards the approaching collapse of numerous buildings.
You could see an arrow flying just as an Undead monster the size of a 16-wheeler crashed on the building you were on. You held up your shield before you looked to see a woman standing on top of the rotting monster.
"Shit, shit, shit, shit!" You cursed as the woman turned her gaze towards you.
Her rust colored eyes pinned you in place before her mount howled. Rider got in front of you while looking at the sheer size of the abomination before you. It smelled like death and disease before its tail smacked an arrow out of the air.
"Caster, you still haven't gotten rid of Archer yet?" Conrad called from below.
The woman smirked as she crossed her arms. She wore a dark set of robes and a jeweled white shawl. Her long flowing hair was split into black and white as stitches marred her otherwise beautiful visage.
She gave you a cold look before jumping down off her mount and having it lurch towards Archer in the distance. Arrows blew apart pieces of its body before it charged with renewed rage.
Caster landed on her feet before giving you a calculating look, taking out a vial from her belt and smashing it, "So this is the specimen?"
"Back off, hag," Rider snarled as she held up her sword, "She's mine."
"We'll see about that, Queen," Caster smiled as from the bubbling liquid on the floor arose a wave of rotting hands.
"Rider!" You cried out as your Servant turned to grab you and get you away from the line of fire.
"She's got some tricks!" Medb yelped as one of the hands went for her skirt. She ended up tossing you into the air, sending you flying as she was dragged by her leg.
"Rider!" You hissed before you saw the Abomination Archer fought break apart. A blur of white shot through the air before a pair of strong arm caught you.
You braced for impact hitting the ground before feeling your world stop. Looking up you saw Archer looking down at you with a raised eyebrow, his deep dark eyes meeting yours. Before the two of you watched the mass of hands break upon Rider piercing through with Caladbolg, only for the mass to go for you.
"Excuse me," Archer warned you before he jumped away with you in his arms.
"Hey, hey, hey! That's not fair, Archer Boy!" Caster laughed as she smashed a few more vials on the ground.
"Hold on," Archer told you as he dodged the stream of rotting flesh. In the distance, the night lit up and the cry of a howling beast tore through the skies.
The Bounded field slowly spreading towards the city had been stopped, leaving it to shatter harmlessly into the void. That was probably Saber...
"She has the ability to control the Undead... What sort of Heroic Spirits is she?" You murmured as you looked at Caster stand there with a smile.
"One that grows powerful with time. Also she does not control the Dead. She brings them to life," Archer corrected you with a serious look.
"WHY ARE YOU GETTING ALL CUSHY WITH THAT HANDSOME GUY, HUH?!"
You winced upon hearing Rider's voice before you saw her stomping the ground with her spiral sword in hand. She looked really mad for once.
