[X] Remember. You need to remember. If you don't remember you'll get hurt a lot. You can't punch Medb if you're crippled here.

We do need to punch Medb.

We came close earlier, and it did feel destructive~

Guessing this is the same thing we could have decided to do back when Medb was out seducing our informants. Since Rider is here there is no reason to not attempt it.

[] Remember. You need to remember. If you don't remember you'll get hurt a lot. You can't punch Medb if you're crippled here.

You had to remember. Why did you have to remember? Because remembering had something you didn't have at the moment. It was within you, the instinct to survive. It's this desire to capture a feeling and realize it, knowing that it must be something important.

It was like something buried within you just waiting for the right conditions to align. It was like cooking. Having never done it before, you found yourself surprised once you found yourself operating a stove and knife. You can make meals as knowledge seemed to come to you as naturally as breathing.

That feeling you had then was the same when you drew a weapon. You knew how to use it, you knew how to best benefit from pulling the trigger then and you knew how to best reduce the impact of the blow you took by jumping away upon contact. Knowledge just seemed to spring up when you truly needed it.

The knowledge you had leaned more on keeping you functioning, keeping you alive. Even if you were unaware of the nitty gritty details required to maintain a Servant, you were passively able to provide the Magical Energy to keep Medb bound to this world. It was all as if you were primed for your current position.

So you remembered. You got up and avoided a spear being slammed to your back. You need to remember and meet the conditions for that to happen. You need to survive, you need to experience the same danger as you did in that Bounded field.

You were scared but something else was driving you forward. It was the same desire which fueled you when you were trapped in that nightmare.

It felt like there was a padlock inside your mind as you watched the Warrior come at you. The spear went for your body as you let out a breath, your circuits flaring into furious lights within your mind as you dodged.

You held out your hand as the Warrior turned to you.

"Cliffs at the Shores of World's End. I stand against Eternity. I am the Rock unmoved by Time's waves!" You chanted before your circuits roared inside you as the spell was realized. You dodged the next swing as a crest swirled and rotated around your right hand, "Strike me and feel retribution. Strike me and be destroyed! Manifest oh shield of Wisdom! Shelter me from my enemies! AEGIS!"

The spear swung for you and shattered as a shield of light erupted into existence before you. Every single magic circuit you had burned bright as you perfected the manifestation of your Prana Barrier. It wasn't the true Aegis of Goddess Athena but it was magecraft of incredible defensive capacity.

An imitation as best reproduced by Modern Magecraft.

Your eyes widened as-

{Objective: Don't Die.}

You fell down your knees as your body smoked. The shield of light flickered in and out of existence as you stood up with it by your side. You let out a breath and watched it smoke as you raised your head. Rider was watching everything as you stood before her now unarmed warrior.

He drew his blade and stalked you as you held your shield. Your vision was tinted with a green glow as you looked at him. He lunged with his blade before you stepped back and caught his sword with your shield of light, turning the shield you forced his blade to fly off before you smashed his face with a backhand.

The Warrior fell back first into the ground before vanishing. You looked at Rider and saw her wince.

{Pseudo Personality has been suspended.}

{Don't Die.}

You moved. Shooting up from where you stood and having snow explode behind you. Your body was charged with reinforcement as you shot straight for where Rider stood. She had her eyes widen as you got close.

Vaulting over the railing she was leaning on, you darted forward and slammed your free hand against the wall. You pinned her in place as she ended up meeting your gaze with a surprised expression.

{WARNING}
{Prana Capacity insufficient to maintain Emergency Mode.}
{Threat levels have been reduced. Returning to Standby.}
{Pseudo Personality reinstated.}

You blinked before you ended up falling towards your Servant. Rider caught you as the shield of light in your left arm vanished into sparks. You felt a cold sensation creep within your stomach.

"It was just like when you first summoned me," Rider noted as she kept you steady, "You had the same expression. The same cold expression."

You held on to her shoulders and parted your lips, "What... What the hell am I?"

.....

You sat on your bed side with a cup of hot chocolate. You were freshened up from your shower and you were in you pajamas now. The memories of your little recollection outside still fresh in your mind.

Rider was on the other bed keeping quiet as she polished her nails. You stared at your mug in your hand before you took a hesitant sip. It was warm... And sweet.

"How do you feel?" Rider asked you with a curious look.

You raised your head, "I feel like throwing this mug at you for siccing your goons at me."

"Well... I suppose that's partly my fault," Rider said as she looked to the side.

"I remember you saying that I was different when I summoned you. Was that how I was? Robotic?" You asked as you glanced her way.

"Yes. I did think it was weird that you started emoting more once you got caught in that trap in the warehouse," Medb recalled as she tapped her cheek, "I didn't think much of it though. Maybe I should have probed some more."

Nothing. No knowledge popped up on regards to your current situation. No stupid trivia, or background information that could help you make sense of... Whatever this was.

"How do really you feel, Master?" Medb asked with a sharp look.

We're probably not a robot, but we may well be a homunculus.

Also that computer-y talk reminds me a lot of the kaleidosticks weirdly enough... Zeltrech? Did you do this?

[X] "Scared."

We have a "pseudo-personality" that can be deactivated by sufficient danger. We inhabit the body of a dead girl, though only a replica. We have no memories, because those files are corrupted.

We are not human

I'm sure most of us suspected that we were, at least, a clone, or something similar.

But this? This goes beyond that.

We are some kind of construct pretending to be a human girl, but we don't know what kind, why or how we were made, or by who.

This should terrify us
