hmmm. You know what? I'm going to make my own plan as well.

[X] Tsunade's Scary Shadow
-[X]Hawk Combat: You learned how to destroy all your enemies with your allies.
-[X] Genjutsu: Your genjutsu skills are impressive, and now, you are the best in the village.
-[X] You joined Tsunade at the Hospital: You became Tsunade's number two.

How old are we after this timeskip? Need to know how toned down the crush on Sakumo needs to be.

Also, should Sakumo be aware of the crush, or absolutely obvious?

Jesus, our brother sounds horribly dyslexic. And that's after the coping mechanisms that someone develops. Oh well, Ren is gonna be Hokage so it's not like our brother needed to be good at paperwork.

@Magoose what do we know of Kiri's and Uzu's relations post timeskip? Are they hostile, friendly, somewhere in-between? If they're friendly we have issues, but hostility can work well for us.

5 years, so you will be 14, while Sakumo is 16.

That's up to you.

Yeah... It's unfortunate too. I had some fun plans with him liking Jiraiya's horrible adventure story... Now its all gone.

Unless he... ya know, dies in the war.

Next state of the world vote will show that off, but that will come on Easter.

[X] Plan: Tsunade's Scary Shadow

I want to make it so that we develop the dyslexic font as part of the post-skip possibilities. Or perhaps a form of braile, since it sounds like little brother is a spatial learner.

Shipping Danzo and Mordred is the single greatest thing I've ever seen happen on SV. I mean it.
Hopefully, the insanity will stay grounded... but knowing my luck we'll be dealing with a WW2 Situation, with Konoha being Fortress Britain. While America is Iwa, and they won't join till they have their Pearl Harbor Moment.

Without improving our ninjutsu, elemental and otherwise, we don't stand a chance of being jounin.

Jounin have to be at that level in all fields, otherwise we're just a special jounin.

So Flying Dreamers is setting us up for failure in regards to getting the jounin promotion.

Eh...you'll be taking that back in a second.

I'm not a fan of cementing our position as Tsunade's no. 2. Ayako Kurama isn't second fiddle to anyone least of all her rival.

And I'm fairly sure our medical skills are adequate, at least for a non-medic focused jounin.

The best way to do our own thing is to kick ass on the border or just go for jounin. I'm leaning toward the latter. A plan will be posted shortly.

Even though Tsunade isn't really her rival anymore, they are just friends with a competitive streak between them.

We have really good medical skills for a non medic.

There is a reason most people at the border are called rats. Most of the time they have to sit and hide in holes in the ground so they can ambush people, or sit in the tree houses for days at a time before the next patrol comes and gets some rest.

Most people think its a boring, thankless job... but it is the most important job in the village, besides teaching the next generation.

HAHAHAHAHA! No.

Jounin don't have to be jounin level in all fields, most jounin aren't even AWARE of all the fields.

Even if just competitive, cementing our role as Tsunade's no. 2 seems like settling.

I kind of figured Ayako and her genjutsu would be a sort of bogeyman for anyone looking to cross the border. They pray that she isn't where they are crossing.

The 'Nothing' option has Ayako focusing on simply doing her best to protect the village and keep others safe. That seems in line with her being the emotional core of the Crusaders.

But becoming a jounin or academy instructor and traumatizing the next generation into competence sounds fun too.

Bah, I need to think about this more.

I misspoke. I meant jounin probably have to be about a certain level in ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu in general. The latter two we're pretty good at, but our ninjutsu is what needs to improve.

There's probably some flexibility even with that, though. If Ayako has strong enough genjutsu she could afford to have weaker ninjutsu than most jounin, but we should strive for having nothing below chunin level in those main fields.

The State of the World: Prewar
The State of the World: Prewar

Konoha: 1D100 => 83

Konoha has experienced a great time of peace, and one that they wish to keep. But with the Choosing of Uchiha Ren as the likely successor of the Hokage seat, many of the nations whom fear the Uchiha.

With their updated and secured line of succession, they have started to go onto a defensive footing, not wishing to start a war that has been brewing for years.

Reward: Konoha is on the defensive war stance. They will not actually try and start a war.

Iwa:1D100 => 54

Mu said that if there was a war, he would not join the conflict, wanting to maintain a more peaceful footing. Iwa has Declared partial Neutrality in the coming conflict, stating that if they, or any member of their ninja forces are attacked, they will strike back with the fury of all of Iwa.

Reward: The Alliance has turned into more of a defensive pact, which will activate if a member of their forces are attacked by a non allied shinobi.

Suna:1D100 => 75

Suna has loaned out a massive sum of money to Kumo, Kiri, Uzisho, Rain, Grass and Iwa.

The Kazekage is now sitting back and waiting for the interest payments to come in. His people are safe and happy, but the warhawks in his government are clamoring for a more… glorious way to gain a fortune of nations. Especially when he is gambling with hundreds of millions of Ryu, and the entire gold reserve of Suna as collateral.

He is willing to relent to their whims, if it is profitable and Suna will not lose their fortune.

Reward: If Suna does not get it's money during the war, it will invade and start… well taking everything and anything from the nations that have not paid up.

Kumo:1D100 => 94

Kumo, Kiri and Uzisho have announced an Alliance. The intelligence report states that they are attacking Konoha's Southern and Western Underbelly.

Reward: Kumo, Kiri and Uzisho are now in an alliance. War is now Imminent

Kiri:1D100 => 94

Kumo, Kiri and Uzisho have announced an Alliance.

Reward: Kumo, Kiri and Uzisho are now in an alliance. War is now Imminente

Rain:1D100 => 72

Hanzo has shut down his borders to all five nations, fearing the war that is now about to begin.

Reward: Rain's borders is shut down

Rivers:1D100 => 63

Nothing truly happened to River, save for the increase in defence in its borders.

Grass:1D100 => 63

Same with Grass, though it is rebuilding from its time as a chaotic mess.

Taki:1D100 => 53

Taki has declared neutrality.

Uzisho:1D100 => 94

Kumo, Kiri, and Uzisho have announced an Alliance.

Reward: Kumo, Kiri, and Uzisho are now in an alliance. War is now Imminent.

AN: enjoy a bit of prewar stuff.

Clarification: Is this staying a proper shinobi war or are the greater nations getting pulled into this? All of them have their own games (canonically we are still in a period where political maps are having to get redrawn twice a year and would look nothing like we are used to) and some of them probably have mixed feelings about their own Villages.

I'm hoping its shinobi only because, otherwise, Fire no longer has a navy save for a tiny bit huddled out by River and Wind.

Iwa and Taki made the right call. Turning any war into an outright defensive one scores one hell of a political victory and makes it more likely that various other powers are going to dogpile on the aggressors. And let us not forget that Kumo is still in full 'burn every bridge, even the one you are standing on' mode... or at least coming down off it... like every other moment in their history.

If I was the Hokage, I probably would have suggested doing exactly what they did. War is coming soon enough and we don't have the deep strike mobility to make anything preemptive count.

Wait until the enemy puts its hand into your maw and then bite down.

This is a Shinobi World War that is brewing, otherwise, I would have brought up what the Daimyo and their ilk are doing. This is a pure shinobi affair.

Maybe, but If the enemy is smart, they will try and find a way to prevent them from joining the war... Because who' scarier, the three nations of the west, with their client states, or Fortress Konoha standing alone?

Hiruzen is a diplomatic guru... trust men when I say that the man could learn Talk no jutsu if he was in our generation.

Will we get training rolls for things that we don't choose (just not guaranteed successes)?

If so, we should take into account what could use the guaranteed success and what we have training bonuses in/are likely to succeed on their own.
