"So, you use wind, huh?" You pause to try and image wind as a combat power. It's not as difficult as you thought it'd be, but it's still kind of strange.
...Then again, the closest thing you have to a weapon is a glowing golden card, so maybe you don't really have a lot of room to talk here.
"That's right! Garu, Garula, Garudyne..." Morgana looks as if he expects those words to make sense to you. You assume they are spell names, but you can't get anything other than that.
"...Huh. Nemesis uses light... and electricity... a few Physical skills... oh, and I can heal."
"...You're lying," The cat flatly states. "You can't have that many affinities! Two elements instead of just one? And healing? Sometimes Joker would do that kind of thing, but he's Joker! You're just a little kid!"
...He was a Wild Card, wasn't he?
...You really hate when people underestimate you because of your age. Particularly when you were so much older than this at one point, even if the memories are buried in patchy fog and a room that only half of you can remember.
"I'm not lying. I have Kouha, Hama, Dia, Zio, and my Physical skill. But my main element is Bless, so..." The cat is still staring at you.
"Um... Ken, right?"
"Yes. What is it?"
"What's your Arcana?"
Justice. Took me a while to figure it out, though. Maybe a bit too long.
"What's an Arcana?"
"...How long have you had your Persona?"
"A bit under a week."
"Yeah, look, an Arcana is... I guess it's a way Personas are sorted? And you can use it to sort people, too, I'm a Magician... you really don't know what yours is?" Given that you didn't even know what an Arcana was until just now... Of course not.
Not that you say that. Morgana's personality takes some getting used to, and you'd rather not make it any more difficult than it needs to be.
It takes until some time after you'd left for you to realize that you completely forgot to mention the time travel.
Saturday... well, while you still wonder why Morgana couldn't have been considerate enough to show up yesterday instead of the day before, you're glad no magic talking cat comes to interrupt your plans today. After all, today is rather important.
Today, you are going to do some sort of testing to determine any dangers that may reside with your Persona. You trust Nemesis, but apparently there's precedent that makes this actually necessary. You decide not to ask. Even if it didn't involve other people's souls, it's probably something that you don't want to know.
They can't take you to an actual science facility or anything, apparently- too much paperwork and red tape, as well as the amount of time it would take to continually ferry you back and forth. And they'd have to, because school is a thing and they wouldn't want anyone to notice you going missing.
Yes, you know the last one makes all of this sound like a conspiracy. But this is about powers few know about and a time almost nobody can experience, that was always going to be a hazard of this.
You're not entirely sure what kind of scientific process involves just a few people in lab coats and Kirijo-san with probably the bulkiest piece of machinery you've ever seen, though. Somehow, you'd imagined something a bit more... elegant.
Not that there isn't a certain appeal to several portable consoles and screens as far as the eye can see. It's just... sort of a mess. Probably why they put all this stuff on the top floor, when you think about it. No need to have anyone trip over it on the way out the door.
The first thing they do is hand you an Evoker and ask you to summon your Persona. Literally the second you walk in through the door.
...Sometimes, you really wonder about these people.
[ ] Don't question it. Just summon your Persona.
