[X] Signal for the truck driver to pull over.
An idea good enough to make someone think 'why didn't I think of that!?'

Lussiac launched the grenade at the group of officers as they opened fire. Her adrenaline was starting to go down. She wasn't out of the woods yet. She'd have a minute or two before the police got squad cars on the highway, and she couldn't be here when that happened.

But before she could come up with a plan, a bullet tore through her left shoulder.

"FUCK!" She dropped to one knee. The bullet went right through, and she was bleeding severely. For a few seconds, it was all she could do to stay on the trailer.

She reached into a pouch and took out a syringe filled with a yellow fluid. Taking the cap off of the needle she injected herself with the painkiller. A second later, the pain in her arm lessened to a dull thud. She could function like this, but she couldn't sit on a truck bleeding like a stuck pig forever.

That's when Lussiac remembered that there was a walkway up ahead. It goes over the highway and into some apartment buildings, along with one of her safehouses. She might be able to lose her pursuers there.

But when she looks up, she sees you approaching.
……….………………………….

If this were an action movie, you could try to climb on top of the trailer to fight Lussiac hand to hand. She's probably get some martial arts moves and be able to dodge you so she doesn't get flattened in 5 seconds. There's probably be a part where you have to duck under a walkway or a sign.

But fortunately for you, the trailer isn't just a moving platform. If you can get the driver to stop, then Lussiac is pretty much stuck. The next exit isn't for half 2 miles, and there's sheer concrete walls on either side. Normal people would have a tough time climbing up those walls.

As you pull up next to the semi, you can hear loud rock music coming from the radio and you can see him singing along.

You pull up parallel to the driver. "Pull over!" You shout at the man. For a few seconds, the man doesn't react to you. In fact, he was banging his head, and doing an air guitar solo with his left hand and plucking the strings with his right pointer finger and thumb.

"FUCKING PULL OVER!" You shout, waving your arms.

Up above, you see Lussiac, left shoulder pouring blood, but if she's in pain, you don't feel it.

"You're really getting under my skin." She half yells before taking aim at you with a wrist mounted grenade launcher. It isn't much time, but it's long enough so you aren't caught flat footed. When she fires the grenade, you cast Reflect. A barrier made of hexagons forms around you and, as soon as it hits your barrier, it's launched back at Lussiac. She cries out as the grenade flies past her head, trailing a white gas behind it before slamming into the concrete wall.

The truck driver, seeing you creating a barrier and something flying at his truck swerves away from you and steps on the gas. Looking up, you see Lussiac hit the top of the trailer but still hanging on for dear life.

All around you, nearby cars start to slow down, start moving to lanes further away and generally putting some distance between them and your chase without getting rear ended by the vehicles behind them. Though one motorist seems to be trying to stay within sight. And a guy is sticking his head outside of the passenger side window filming on his phone.

Fucking idiot.

……….…………………………..

After the sedan skidded to a stop in the service lane, but Black Valkarye's body kept going, flying onto the concrete.

The driver of the sedan, a slightly overweight man in a polo, slacks and dress shoes, stepped out of the car. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to... I mean-"

Her legs were the first thing she healed. The broken tibia, which had shattered when she hit the truck, snapped back into place. The veins, muscles and eventually skin formed back into it's natural shape. Her arm, which snapped when she hit the concrete was next as the veins repaired themselves, reattaching where they had been snapped open before. Suddenly, the bone snapped back in pace as suddenly as it snapped out of place. As Black Valkarye pushed herself up with her newly healed arm, she wiped the blood from her head where it had bounced off of the ground, revealing newly healed skin.

"What... wh=wh-wh-what the..." The driver stuttered.

Black Valkarye sighed. She didn't have time for this. She pulled out her badge. "Hartford PD. I'm commandeering your vehicle."

"What? I-"

"NOW"

The driver tossed the keys to Helya and a few seconds later, she was speeding off after the truck.

……….…………………………..

Lussiac was hanging off the edge of the trailer with her remaining good arm. She wasn't feeling any pain, but that was She started to pull herself back up, thanking whatever force in the universe that it hadn't started raining 5 minutes ago. But even as she said it, the rain was still falling. Little droplets were hitting the concrete and the vehicles

[X] Try to use magic to attack Lussiac.
-[X] Fireball.

I think this will be less likely to take out the vehicle than the lightning bolt and I don't fancy jumping on the truck when Lussiac is hanging off it instead of being on it.

Why do you think it's less likely?

Lightning usually doesn't cause problems because the metal is a make shift faraday cage that the electricity prefers to travel on.

Fireballs are harder to aim at Lussiac being smaller than the comparatively giant metal trailer.

Taking out the tires when the truck is speeding down won't be helpful. A) Trucks can lose tired without stopping I think and B if we take out enough we're risking the trailer rolling and taking out everyone on the highway.

Hmm. I didn't realise that. I just figured that the lightning bolt would fry the whole vehicle.

A direct lightning strike will destroy all the electronic systems in the car.

Which may or may not do bad things?

[X] You take out the tires.
-[X] Start from the rear tires and work your way forward.

Let's just bring the damn truck to a stop and punch out the bitch. This entire chase is getting increasingly farcical.

The front are control surfaces. The back are mainly to eliminate friction. If you take out the front wheels first it'd spill, and then you have a giant flying hazard. if you take out the rear wheels it'd keep going but starts dragging on the ground at which point the driver will stop because its going to be making this godawful screaming noise.

As soon as I figure out how to do that, I will. For now, it's the first threadmark.

Go to thread tools at the top of the thread in the right corner, click on it and then click on edit thread. Then change the sticky post to 2 since the post 2 of this thread is the character sheet.
