Holding Out For A Hero: An Original Superhero Quest

You're right, Z. For some reason, according to this thread, your comment was only made 35 minutes ago, and the subsequent comments don't appear until I start typing.

I'm going to see if I can contact someone from SV to see if there's something that can be done. If not, then I may need to start a new thread.

It is a site wide issue. You can resolve it by refreshing a page if it hasn't loaded properly.

Well, it looks like whatever the issue was with the formatting of the thread, it only happens on page 70 right now.

Anyway, there's been quite a bit of discussion, which I like, but no actual votes. If we could get some votes, I can get started on planning the next post.

Let's try this again...
He didn't know if he shouted it, or if someone else did, but he scrambled backwards, away from the opening. But the grenade hit Lee in the chest. A reddish brown gas was released from it, eating through Lee's armor, his gas mask, and his skin.

---------------------------------------------

You hear several gunshots and a cry in pain as you're swerving through traffic. A few dropplets of water that hit your helmet are foreshadowing the rain that's going to come soon. And with rain, comes slippery roads, which means that this is going to get a lot more dangerous. You need to end this quickly.

[] Try to climb onto the cab of the truck and fight her.
[] Try to use magic to subdue Lussiac. (Write in a spell)
[] Write in.

[X] Try to climb onto the cab of the truck and fight her.

There isn't much of a difference between Dexterity and Mystic Arts and our melee skills are better than our magic skill.

We need to think about that rainstorm. Our footing is going to be taking a hit - and we don't want to land in front of a truck.

On the other hand it's going to get hit anyways because water will be hitting on everyone's ability to drive/brake.

Exactly.

People in Hartford are not known for their driving ability. Especially if there's snow, ice, water, or other cars on the road.

Hmm - that makes me wonder if it'd be safer on top of the truck than on the road. Motorcycle zipping around is easier to hit with a truck than someone on top of a truck.

@Agent 99 - how resistant are we to our own lightning?

Combined with your enhanced constitution, you're much less susseptable to it than anyone else, but it'll still hurt. With your armor, you'll feel a sting, but it shouldn't hurt too much.

Thinking of electrocuting the water on the truck roof to get Lussiac in an area of effect attack?

Yeah - you have to admit that fighting in the rain on a truck, and just summoning a bolt of lightning from the storm is a very metal image.

Also hitting the truck is easier than hitting her.

And the truck driver would be safe given that you're insulated inside cars.

The drive would be safe, the car would probably even keep running.

But the entire electrical system would be fried.

We can, ya know. Try and wave him off the high way first? With our deflector shield up? Lussiac hasn't seen that yet.

I still want to try and take her alive, and launching a fireball or lighting burst at a moving truck doesn't seem like a good way to make that happen. Not to mention probably causing a massive car accident.

[X] Try to use magic to subdue Lussiac. (Hit the vehicle with lightning to stop it)
One gas can into a vehicle and Lussiac can leave a massive traffic accident in her wake as she makes her getaway.
