A compromise! Compromise!
We maintain much of the mysterious "saying nothing with something", but give a subtle nod to Mami that we're Gud Girl, and to Kyuubey that we're probably not going to have much truck with his usual antics. Hopefully he tones them down enough we can enjoy our vacation without breaking out our inner Caroline on the bunnycat.

And fine, we'll talk to him. Actually, should we try to move into his brain? I'm a big fan of bothering Kyuubey on an emotional level, but it's probably not logically the smartest thing we could do...

I don't think revealing the collective unconsciousness as a thing to Kyubey is a good idea. And Mami wouldn't understand what it is.

I wouldn't underestimate the Mitakihara education system. Plus there's always Google.

The leading vote seems to say everything and nothing though, potentially clashing with the indirect nature of the room(Our capabilities may lead to the impression attendants are like contractors with a different Kyubey figure), and something about the heroes journey thing seems weird to me.

Edit: I'm unsure about a suitably open thing to say that doesn't reveal the collective unconsciousness's existence, if you have ideas I may switch.

You want Mami to google about an outdated psychology concept in the middle of your conversation? Talk about anticlimactic.

Also, I have no idea what the IRL Japanese curriculum is, but philosophy and stuff are usually seen in high school. Either way, Kyubey will probably explain what it is to her.

Googlewise... maybe? I'm not sure. Moving the conversation to in front of a computer and looking at the Wikipedia article or her googling it afterwards, I'm not sure what's weird about that. Is there something I'm missing?

The Mitakihara education system is kind of ridiculous is a recurring joke in the fandom based on the levels of math they have middle school students doing. Hence why I considered it an open question whether or not she knows.

Kyubey probably acting as an exposition fairy though... I'm trying to figure out if this is a GM are you sure warning.

It's fine, it's fine. I just pictured Lavenza spouting off a bunch of complicated terminology at Mami and having her whip out a few dictionaries and encyclopedias just to understand what the hell she's talking about. There's nothing wrong with your vote.

Actually, telling them we give people something will make us seem like a different kind of Kyubey figure, while if we tell them we are aids of humanity, then we can simply appear as someone heroic who can possibly be open to collaborate with humans with powers we didn't give them.

How about this then? It spoils the comedic abruptness of the vacation remark but portrays us as more open to collaboration?
