That's not what a 69 usually means.
Remembers internet rules... No, not happening. you might assassinate someone instead. changing the roll to a 68.
Also lets take a moment to reflect that we're fine with minors killing other people but not having sex. Are our priorities wrong?
This world is crazy... But I am not going to let you do anything that will make the mods bring their power down on me.

Huh, usually in this situation, it would lead to Danzo maybe catching the eye of a Lady in Waiting, or maybe the Daimyo's son catching feelings for the MC.

Either way could lead to interesting plot points, especially if the Daimyo's son invites the team to more court missions in order to keep the friendship going. Maybe even lead to the MC protecting the kid from assassins, and eventually becoming 1 of the 12 Shinobi Guardians.

Just helpful plot points.

Thank you.

Also, sorry for no updates lately, I've been writing a family members paper for class and helping my grandfather write some records (not his memoirs) for posterity. And I need to get them done by the weekend so I won't be able to get an update out till at least saturday.

RL always takes priority and we are always willing to wait

[x]A Scroll: "Do not open it until I give the Order." (Starts: The Phoenix Rises Arc)
Blop-

'Phoenix Rises' as a name just makes me think of a hawk summon-assisted firebombing. Lets hope its not quite that nasty.

The C-Rank: The Phoenix Rises: Part 1
The C-Rank: The Phoenix Rises: Part 1

You and your team arrived at the Land of Fire Capital Kumanogawa a day after you received the mission. The scroll on your back was heavy and bulky, it contents unknown to everyone but Danzo himself. You were not liking the fact that he was not telling you everything about the mission, but right now, you had no other choice but to trust him.

He was the jonin, and he had a plan that would make sure you would all get home. Hopefully.

Because you really don't want to become a missing-nin because the mission going to shit. That would just be bad form

But the city was massive, twice as large as Konoha itself, and that was just looking at the outskirts and it's walls. The massive walls that covered the city's outskirts seemed to have dozens, if not hundreds of men on it, armed with Yari, Katana and… Kunai launchers? They had kunai launchers? Wow, they must really be rolling in the cash if they had imported those.

If it's defenses were this massive and well maintained, what was inside the city?

"Alright, stay alert," Danzo ordered as he looked back to the team. "And be on your best behavior, the daimyo is not a man who we want to anger."

You all nodded, and Danzo walked forward to the guards at the gate and showed the mission scroll. The guards muttered something before the gate opened. "Hurry up." The guard stated impatiently.

"Much obliged." Danzo stated before Danzo gestured to you, and you all began to follow him.

And you were right, the city was impressive. Tall buildings seemed to sprout up everywhere, with people bustling in and out of buildings, merchants, regular townsfolk, farmers and outsiders alike were trying to sell their wares, either from storefronts, from stalls, or from down on the street, on mats.

And everywhere… there seemed to be people everywhere. There were so many people here that you felt like you could not move.

"Hm… This reminds me of some old photos I saw of China during the turn of my worlds 19th century." Aka stated. "Only there weren't as many people."

You cast a genjutsu to Danzo. "Sensei… how many people are in this city?" you asked.

Danzo turned around. "Half a million, at least according to the last census." He stated. "It's easy to blend in and get lost in this place.

"And how long ago was that?" You asked.

"A decade ago...It's probably a lot bigger since the end of the warring states," Danzo replied as he looked around. "Stay close to me, you don't want the police to take you away."

"Why?" Nanako asked.

"The Daimyo's answer to us. They may not be skilled, but they can still overpower you with sheer numbers." Danzo stated. "And they hate all ninja."

Pushing your way through the city, you reached the palace that was in the center of it all. Waiting for you, was the Daimyo himself, surrounded by only one of the twelve guardian ninja. "Ah… Jounin Danzo… thank you for coming with such haste."

Danzo bowed, and your team followed suit, but no one spoke.

The Daimyo was an old man, but from his stature, and from all the muscles he seemed to have and from the armor he wore, he was accustomed to the battlefield. His grey hair was barely visible from under his helmet. The twin swords that hung on his side were true blades. "We have much to discuss, Jounin Danzo, so that you may relay it back to your Hokage."

Danzo stood up. "Excellent… Now, where is your son?" He asked.

The daimyo nodded and waved his hand forward. A boy walked forward. His face timid, his eyes averting the gaze of the onlookers from the court. He was about your age, and on his back was a boken. On his head, a training helmet that slides from side to side as he moved around. His eyes were curious and frightened as he looked at your team. "Father… their all girls, how can they be a ninja?" He asked.

That made Tsunade get mad, thankfully, Nanako was able to stop her. "I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT A KUNOICHI CAN DO YOU, IDIOT!"

All that physical training that Nanako did made her strong enough to hold back the ball of rage that was Tsunade.

But that brat was an idiot… you could have killed him at least ten times before anyone could react.

"Tsunade, calm yourself. We are on a mission." Danzo ordered, and immediately Tsunade took a deep breath and calmed herself down. "Pardon my student, she's a bit angry about the occupation being… looked down upon."

"We have much to discuss." The daimyo than looked at the students. "I hope that staying by my son's side until dinner will be alright with them?"

"It will be." Danzo ordered, glaring at Tsunade, "And there will be no complaints."

You all nodded and walked up to the daimyo's heir. "So… what's your name?" Nanako asked.

"Masamune" The boy replied.

"Alright… lead the way, your Excellency." Tsunade mocked.

Where does the Daimyo's son take you?:

[]The Armory: He needs to put away his Boken, otherwise his father will beat him.

[]The Training Ground: The Twelve Ninja Guardian training ground is open, and Masamune wants to spar with you all with his friends. His father does not know about it, of course, so he asks you all to keep jutsu to a minimum.

[]His room: His room is fit for a prince… why is he pulling out a detailed schematics of the palace?

[]The Guest Rooms: Where you will be staying… And you meet the honored guest that the Daimyo is hosting.

[]The Library: It seems the Daimyo has quite a collection.

[]The Treasury: Wait… Does he want to swim in all that money there? It must be hyperbole. Theres no way someone has that much money to swim in it.

AN: Enjoy.

We should look into how well he can handle combat on his own. Plus this will let us check if we should be worried about any of his friends.

Going for the (seemingly) funny one.
