We have the White Chakra Sabre? I would have thought that would be the only piece of gear worth looting on us, why don't the missing nins have it?
Cause Sakumo has is, and the missing nin haven't figured it out yet. They think its just a fake he's carrying around since Sakumo's father is still alive and they don't know that Sakumo's inherited it.

I wouldn't call these missing-nin very... well, lets just say they're focused on other things right now then looting kids.

They are being chased by some of the scariest bastards in the shinobi world, going through buffer states still steaming from the aftermath of the First Shinobi War, with hunters of a half dozen other major powers hoping to capitalize on their move for various reason, to a man who is promising them the moon (hah!), and have to make a graceful exit afterwards with their exits while still all being already wanted men.

I can understand the distraction.

Imagine what goes down if even one of the wagons is wrecked? It just... breaks an axle and they are still racing the devil himself.

Oh... Sorry, I did not pay attention to the question or finish my answer for that matter, because I am almost finished writing something else.

There are two ways fo Ashai's bugs to transmit their venom/poison.

A bite is lethal, as it sends almost everything the bug has into the victim's bloodstream.

The secondary way and less deadly way is through its feet, which transmit on contact, and only the user and other members of her clan being immune.

if they land on an ally, it will only cause some drowsiness, as they know its an ally, and needs to control the poison/venom so they don't drop dead or asleep.

True. But the thing is, everyone here has been subdued in a way where you need to get creative and lucky to escape.

Murder bug indeed. Poison and venom in one small package. And if they haven't taken the sword I'd expect them to not have dealt with our Aburame friend thoroughly enough that she can't take the guards out.

You can try, but if they're desperate enough to work for Madara fing Uchiha... They might not be easily persuaded by one of their own captives.

They took a job knowing it was him? Damn. I guess he would need to use his name to suggest that the plan was actually feasible since he helped build the village.

Or these are the extra desperate type of missing nin. Usually means they're weaker, but the ones that aren't...

Shit, the good one is gonna be the one that is immune to the poison and/or will show up after we deal with the disposable missing nin won't he.

And the two Genin who've been dragged along with us, but both of them just graduated a few weeks prior.

Plus you also have a puppy, the white Chakra saber, your genjutsu abilities, bugs, and a few other bits and bobs that were on the other student's person when we were taken.

So you are correct, Basically, academy students are on a crusade to get home.

Can we get an inspiring speech about how by believing in the Grace of God Will of Fire we can accomplish the Grand Quest put before us? The Children's Crusades* started up with a charismatic (and pious, but most were pious in olden times) child gathering up a bunch of other children (and adults but people don't like diluting the story with them). Although by "child" the leader I think was a bit shy of adulthood -- like a teenager.

Kinda like an academy student would be if genin are considered adults.

*I believe there are two -- both failed to make it to the Holy Land.

[X]Read the Bingo Book: you have the book, might as well make use of it and try to find out who kidnapped you.

We should know our enemies so we can inform our class of their strength and weaknesses

We could... if we could actually talk.:V

These guys are good enough to be hired and survived the first move and stealing kids from the center of the most powerful village on this side of the continent. You really think these guys are going to be amateurs?

Cool, why haven't they disarmed the kidnapees? Seems like that would be Hostage Taking 101.

Children’s Crusade: The Palace and the Plans
Children's Crusade: The Palace and the Plans

You sat at the table with the beast and Aka. "We are in a shit situation." The beast said as he kicked his feet up onto the table.

"No need to remind me." You replied.

"Well, we're stuck in in a wagon with almost no light, we can barely see outside to know if the sky is clear so we can navigate by starlight, our hands and feet are bound, there are drugs in our system suppressing our chakra to the point where casting a genjutsu would be impossible until they wear off, we have no geographic landmarks in which to orient ourselves with if we did escape, nor do we know where any Konoha outposts or supply caches are if we are outside the land of fire. And we are guarded by two unknown and possibly more ninja who have far more combat experience than we have." Aka paused. "We're in a bad situation, but it's not the worst one I've been in, nor is it the worst possible scenario we could be in."

"Do we have a plan?"

"We have four options. But you won't like them." Aka stated.

"Well, what choice do we have?" You replied. "Shoot."

"Option A, we escape on our own. With what I said earlier it will only require a few broken fingers to get yourself free of your bonds and rolling yourself out of the wagon. Unfortunately, you will be alone, without any help, in a potentially hostile land. And we have no idea if these men managed to kidnap you and your class quietly… meaning we might be hunted by other nation. I personally don't recommend this as we would be at an extreme disadvantage."

Oh, that was great… Leaving on your own is the last resort option then. "Okay… What's option B?"

"While I cannot take control, the beast can. I can guide him through what he needs to do… but there's a problem with that." Aka stated.

"What problem is that?" You asked.

"You'll have to release all three restraint levels for this plan to work." The beast said. "And while that would give us an advantage… it would also send you deep into your own subconscious… with a chance of not being able to pull yourself back."

"How is that a bad thing?" You asked.

"Because if you caught there when the seal comes back, you will be destroyed." The beast replied. "The three seals that regulate my power also are there to shield me from doing anything bad to you and the rest of your mind. And while I would never do something like that."

You shivered as the beast seemed a little too eager when saying the last sentence, you remember his threat on eating you. "You being caught in there would make it very hard to get out." The beasts smile made you shiver as he finished.

Aka glared at the beast, causing his smile to vanish. "I'm kidding. Relax Aka."

You shook your head. "What's option C?"

"I've only been imprisoned once, but I had my friends as well. We found a way to overpower the guards and killed them. Your friends have skills that can be used, Sakumo and his teammate are genin, with at least some training from their sensei." A memory projector appeared and you saw a few members of your class who were taken before you fell into unconsciousness.

"For example, Ren can fake having the Sharingan with you using genjutsu, and that could buy you some time for Ashai to kill them with her bugs," Aka said. "We have plenty of options with your classmates and the ninja with us, but we need more light, information and time to plan out things, so you need to wait for a little bit and tell your friends your plan. However, lacking in knowledge of our opponents will make any plan you make risky."

"Okay." You replied. "Than what is our last option."

"Wait." Aka said.

"Wait?!" you stood up. "We've been kidnapped, and you want me to wait."

"Considering you were kidnapped in daylight from the center of the most secure location you know, by nin who should by all means been killed the moment they stepped foot into your Village… there will be rescue parties Konaha and other foreign actors involved. For all you know, these men are on edge because an attack just took place and anything that will cause them to panic and start killing you and your classmates. It would be best for you as well, because the drugs in your system will filter out of your system, and you can communicate with them. You are skilled at Genjutsu after all, use that to your advantage."

"But if they reach their destination, their screwed anyway." The beast stated.

"Not helping," Aka said. "What is your choice Ayako?"

What is your choice?:

[]Option A: Bail out: You need to get out of here, and now. Roll out and find out where you are, and make your way back to Konoha (Children's Crusade Path: Homeward Bound begins)

[]Option B: Free the Beast: "Release restraint level 3, 2, 1. Beast, Aka, your mission is the subduing of enemy combatants and rescuing the academy class and friendly ninja, while making our escape. Time is of the utmost essence. If we reach our kidnapper's destination, the mission is a failure. Good luck and try to stay alive." With those words, you were thrust away into your subconscious. (Children's crusade Path: Escaping the Mind Begins.)

[]Option C: Together as One: You need to plan your escape with your fellow captives. They have skills, but they need to be able to communicate, and you need their help if you are going to be able to make it out of this alive. (Children's Crusade Path: Brotherhood Begins)

[]Option D: Wait: You need to wait for a rescue. Hopefully one comes to your rescue. (Children's Crusade Path: Trail of Terror begins.)

AN: Enjoy. And whatever path you choose will cement whether you meet Madara, escape, or get captured again by the enemy.

Or die... got to remember that dying is a possibility.

Well, abandoning everyone would make us Worse Than Trash, and there's no way anything with the name "Trail of Tears" is a good idea, so I guess it's a choice between B and C. I think either could work, we've got synergies with both, but I feel like B might have a bit too high of long-term consequences at this stage given that the beast isn't totally on our side yet and it'd scare the hell out of the adults when we got back.

[X]Option C

Thus.

Most other choices rely on others not independently screwing the pooch. Everyone here is going to be thinking of some possible out here and you can more or less bet that every possible action would be tried by at least someone. All the bad possibilities become likely, not many of the good.

If we wait, we need to wait in a unified and choreographed manner. If we act, we need to act in a unified and choreographed manner.

And if one person is going to escape, it should be someone who can capitalize on their escape. Not us. If we go that way we pick someone who can make it back and give them an opening.

Power of friendship. I want B for the hellsing memes but power of friendship man.

We chose the power of friendship, we should own the power of friendship. Worst comes to worst, we can probably pull a heroic sacrifice by releasing the restraints. Might even be able to get our Uchiha to power level their trauma eyes of bullshit even if we come back.

Ah, chakra suppressing/disrupting drugs is their solution to keeping us from being threats. Probably have some significant downsides with respect to being useful in combat, but there's a lot of ways that could be the case that are entirely unhelpful for us.
