And the games would either have to lean heaviky on their fantasy aspect or bow to the inevitable HeroesvVillainsvNeutrals remake.

I'm hoping to make the warhammer games a Roguelike series. Hopefully our supergenius can make them Dwarf Fortress quality with massively improved graphical quality. This is DC-verse, we can make Super Games!

So let us all hope we get massive returns on our inventions. Maybe we can spin Plasteel as the fast and easy way to fix the damage done in Super fights (not that there are many now, but still)

Ah, we also gotta make Spore. So many destroyed dreams need to be restored... DAMN YOU EA!

Edit: I had an epiphany when looking at your comment saying THRIVE, it reminded me of that project to make a new Spore.

what about a CK2 or EU5 like game with all the different factions like the gangs police business trying to gain control of Gotham City and nearby areas?

Eeeey.

A CK2 game of all the old Gotham families would be awesome. Just scale down the world to the City of Gotham and choose a time when Old Money rulled supreme.

Daddy dearest would be so proud.

Hate to rain on your parade guys, but you're a new Gotham based company. Blizzard isn't located in Gotham, or even on the East Coast.

Well, I suppose we could always lend money to someone needing the capital to start a game company.

Or wait for someone else to do it.

On a related note, can you imagine Toyman reimagined as a video game developer? I can easily see such a character being a hacker of some sort and maybe having the magic or technology to send people into video game (either SAO style or on a more physical level). Or mind control.

Though I suppose having a good supply of physical robots or weapons would help give him staying power against superheroes.

They actually did that for the Justice League Action cartoon, if I recall correctly he managed to trap Superman Batman and Wonder woman into a video game that he challenged Cyborg to.

Also does has anyone else gotten less and less fond of the the video game company idea the more it has been discussed?

We could do a town of Salem type game except we could call it City of Gotham. We could slowly add in villain archetypes as roles when they pop up and make some money if we gave the option to buy coins or something like that.

Cash: $1,345,176.62

Life smiled on you, you have a friend, your family, your cat, your research, and now you have money. Lots, and lots of money. You were now a millionaire, a teenage millionaire, well technically your Daddy was a millionaire even if it was only one million. He was 'Holding on to your money until you were older', in truth he let you basically do whatever you want with it as long as you didn't bankrupt the family.

Speaking of family, you have no idea where the Jackal is, Daddy said he was dealing with 'old business'. You think you may know what that 'old business' is now because of the completely legal police radio your father had installed in your desk.

"This is Detective Gordon and Detective Bullock chasing after two suspects on rooftop! One appears to be the vigilante Batman, and the other the ninja from earlier this month." The radio crackled a bit. "Come on Jim! Let's get these costumed idiots!"

POV: Jeeves/Jackal

The night was young when you went out to hunt for your Masters. Your mission was complicated, being loyal to the Penguin, his daughter who is now the Rook, and your original master the Demon's Head. The Demon's Head 'exiled' you from the league, but in reality you are their way of keeping an eye on the Court, and the wayward assassin Batman. The traitor is now training pupils himself, so you took it upon yourself to train Rook and Screaming Mimi.

Tonight's mission was a simple one, kill a pawn of the Court. It would have happened soon, but alas you were busing your pupils. The clown money doesn't help either, spreading chaos as the poor, desperate, and greedy descend on it whenever it appeared. It also is to blame for your current situation, the traitor is chasing you and you of course were leading him into a trap. He probably knew it as well, after all he is the traitor, and the Demon's favorite.

Batman Throw Attack Roll!
1st Roll 1D100= 46+60(Throwing Stuff!)= 106!

Jackal Dodge Roll! DC 85, 106
1st Roll 1D100= 59+50(DODGE!)= 109
Jackal dodges completely!

The sound of shuriken slicing through the air is a sound you are intimately familiar with, and you have countless scars to prove it. As you roll under the bat shaped shuriken, you pivot on your left hand as your right throws shuriken of your own. If you simply stopped to dodge he'd catch up, so you must dodge and attack at the same time.

Jackal Throw Attack Roll!
1st Roll 1D100= 51+35(Throwing Ninja Stars!)= 86!

Batman Dodge Roll! DC 65, 86
1st Roll 1D100= 85+90(Bat Dodge!)= 175
Batman dodges completely!

The traitor simply weaves around your ninja stars as he closes on you. You can barely hear him over the wailing police sirens below. "What is the league doing in my city?!"

His voice is harsh as gravel in a food processor, you are unsure if from practice or a voice modulator. The traitor doesn't even give you time to answer his question as he pounces on you.

Round 1

Batman Attack Roll!
1st Roll 1D100= 41+155(Batman's Attack Bonuses)= 196!

Jackal Defense Roll! DC 100, 175, 196
1st Roll 1D100= 70+130(Jackal's Defense Bonuses)= 200
The Jackal defends himself perfectly!

Jackal Counter Attack Roll!
1st Roll 1D100= 78+130(Jackal's Attack Bonuses)= 208!

Batman Defense Roll! DC 110, 150, 175, 208
1st Roll 1D100= 59+125(Batsuit is hightech)= 184
The Batsuit is damage!
Batman activates stasis patches!

The traitor's form was good, better than your own in many ways, sadly for him his style is based on your order's style. Each punch was gently pushes aside, and ever kicked blocked with one of your own. You can hear the faint whirring of machinery in his suit, possibly strength augmenting, you'll have to ask Rook about such a thing later. In the few moments of stillness you reply, keeping your voice as monotone as you can. "The Demon's Head always keeps on eye on the Heir."

As he goes to deny that he is the rightful heir of The Demon's Head you counter attack. Your attack is highly choreographed in such a way that it should be simple for him to block it, and he falls for it like a fish on a hook. As your fist impacts his arm there is a loud crack that echoes across the rooftop. The Batman's eyes widen in surprise as he jumps back.

"You're enhanced." It wasn't a question, but how could it be when you clearly broke through his suits armor with a single punch. There was of course only one answer you could give him. "The Demon's Head provides."

It isn't even a complete lie, you sent some of the chemical that changed you off to the league. Reports that have gotten back to you aren't promising, but every new weapon to the league needs to be polished first.

The traitor uses this small lull in combat to twist something on his belt, and suddenly his whole suit lights up for a single second. A stasis field, lovely.

Round 2

Jackal Attack Roll!
1st Roll 1D100= 82+130= 212!

Batman Defense Roll! DC 190, 212
1st Roll 1D100= 26+185(Stasis Batsuit)-15(Slightly Damaged)= 196
The stasis field flickers for a second, and allows Jackal to get some hits in damaging the Batsuit!

Batman uses 10 retcon points to negate the damage, dodge, and throw a smoke bomb. Batman no long has any retcon points.

Batman Stealth Roll!
1st Roll 1D100= 89+125(I am the night!)= 214!

Jackal Awareness Roll! DC 100, 150, 185, 214
1st Roll 1D100= 56+65(Stealth to counter stealth)= 121

Fight Interrupt? DC 75
1st Roll 1D100= 1+30(The First Joker Plot)=31

By the time anyone notices it's already to late! Hahahahahaha!

Batman Stealth Attack!
1st Roll 1D100= 45+62.5(Half Stealth)+185(Stasis + Attack Bonuses)= 292.5

Jackal Dodge Roll! DC 150, 175, 200, 250, 292.5
1st Roll 1D100= 65+50(Dodge)= 115!
Big Fail! Batman punches Jackal off the roof!

How's joker doing? DC 45, 65, 85, 105
1st Roll 1D100= 68+30(Joker Luck)= 98
The Slums and Docks are on fire and Smilex fills the streets!

Does Batman notice the large fire? DC 15
1st Roll 1D100= 15
He somehow barely notices the fire that is consuming the slums, and the loud laughing!

As you go to punch the traitor in the throat and end this, he smoothly flows around your blow. You're sure you hit him, how? As your thoughts catch up with you all of a sudden you feel the heir's fist on the back of your head. Is this why he's the heir, even after your accidental enhancement by Rook you're still no match for him.

As you fall to the street below you hear howling laughter, and smell burning flesh. This is your chance to get away.

*****

POV: Adrian Cobblepot

As you listen to the police commentary on Jackal and Batman's fight static fills the air as something messes with your radio's signal receiver.

"Hello all you boys and girls of Gotham. Let me introduce myself, I'm your Uncle Joker, and I'm here to give you all a fireside chat. Smell that in the air kiddies? That's the stench of the greedy!... And anyone who was close enough to them, lived in the same building, or a close enough building… Oh! Who am I kidding! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! This wasn't about sending a message about greed at all! Ehehehehe… It was about having a nice cozy fire so we could have a fireside chat like good ol' FDR. Anyone who doesn't have a smile on their face from remembering FDR just go outside, and smell the air. It'll be sure to put a great big smile on your face!"

There is chaos in the streets but it hasn't reached the business sector yet. What do? Choose one.

[] Take advantage as Rook, rob a bank or something.

[] Barricade yourself, and staff in the lab and work on something that might help.

[] Stay in your office and design something to pass the time.

Hope you enjoy it! Much more to come this issue.

[X] Take advantage as Rook, rob a bank or something.

If there's one nice thing to say about Joker, he knows how to cause a distraction. Time to get some goodies while the Batman's distracted.

[X] Barricade yourself, and staff in the lab and work on something that might help.

Might be good for PR.

Are write-ins acceptable here?
