On one hand I can respect the balancing game you're playing when it comes to the dice gods and their favor, on the other, seeing as how what happened was so unlikely and probably wont ever happen again in this Quest, I feel like an op skill is the least seven crits in a row should get us.
Not trying to sound ungrateful or anything but....it was a rather underwhelming result is all.

That's fair. Just a reminder that at level 5 (1500 exp) we basically have a Byakugan... Idk about you but the potential to have an active sharingan and effective byakugan, realistically by the age of five at the earliest... I feel like it was a pretty decent reward. I could have dicerolled for seven different skills, and increased Chakra Sense's range to 500 (lv. 4), but I seriously doubt that even seven chakra-sense related skills combined would come near the potential of Mind's Eye.

In fact I just did it using the powerlisting wiki and I got demon sensing (basically can sense bijuu and jinchuriki, aka something MEK already does), lunar enhancement (sensing gets more powerful under a full moon), elemental sensing (can sense chakra nature), electromagnetic sensing (admittedly pretty decent, but ultimately less useful than MEK), a tech related power that let's you sense through phones (basically Batman's setup in TDK, Idk how I'd translate this to the Narutoverse tbh), undead sensing (admittedly MEK doesn't have the outright functionality to do anything like this until ~lv. 5, and there's only one filler arc where non Edo-tensei undead show up, but they also probably have chakra which means they'll show up for MEK), and last the ability to sense 'true form' (aka what the Sharingan will already let us do, don't even need to talk about MEK). All of those combined are matched by the Mind's Eye at lv. 3 (300 exp) so I feel like it worked out in the end.

I hear what people are saying, so unless something really interesting comes to me, I'll save any crit rolls until Masako is actually learning techniques, and then I'll assign the skills/traits from crits. I'll start keeping a counter of the rewards at the bottom of each update until she's ~5 when they'll start being assigned. Does that sound more fair?

@DrTortoise, would it be possible to slow or stop the memory decay?
EDIT: Also, because the mind's eye of the kagura is an uzumaki specific ability, we must have an uzumaki descendant. Would developing the Rinnegan be possible later due to having both senju genes through the uzumaki descendant and having the uchiha genes, or is that different in this quest?

Not quite, you are ignoring one very important detail that changes the math a fair bit. After the first crit, each successive roll is more likely to crit, because you add, in addition to the normal modifiers, the amount the previous roll exceeded 100. This makes the math much harder to calculate, but it is noteworthy that after the first crit, crits get easier.

How accurate is this comparison? Is the level of detail suffice for Gentle Fist? Can it only show us Chakra-related stuff, or is there ambient chakra that allows us to see objects as well? Do we basically have a always on Byakugan?

Tbh it's highly unlikely that MC develops the Rinnegan, and it depends on a *wide* variety of factors. If Masako somehow manages to get her hands on a pair of EMS, then it's *possible* if the dice God's will it, but that's a long ways away, and very hard to actively work towards, so it's far more likely for her to end up with a massive swath of S rank ninjutsu and crazy taijutsu/kenjutsu skills than a rinnegan.

Already taken into account. If I were calculating using simple probabilities (0.4^7) it would be ~0.16%, taking into account rollover creates a significant difference as you can see.

From the information we have, Karin's Mind's eye is effectively equivalent to the byakugan, she sees the chakra of the individuals, how it's moving, and the surrpsurrou room in clear detail, only it can see more detail about the nature of the chakra it percieves than the byakugan. We also know that the Byakugan ranjes from genin being able to see a 50 m radius, to Jonin being able to see a 20 I'm radius, to Kaguya being able to see the entire fucking world. At lower levels it'll be too slow to use in combat and won't see nearly as much detail as even a genius byakugan, but after a decent bit of training one could theoretically recreate the gentle fist.

Alright, one important part of the question you missed however, is it always on, or is it an ability that we have to actively use?

Also, an entirely unrelated question from earlier that you seemed to miss, you think you could integrate into the character sheet descriptions, what Tobi thinks about them (like how it was done in Orochimaru Quest)? Like, a bit of flavor text to go with Hiruzen, remarking how he's grown up from being a brat into rather decent ninja, and how impressive he personally finds his feat of fighting off 3 kage (might not be that impressive to him, used to people on caliber of Hashirama and Madara), and so on. I think it'd be rather neat, and would make it much easier to keep a sense of scale. Not to mention it'd probably be just fun, having snarky snippets from Tobi commenting on whatever.
