Being the Holy Grail is Suffering... [Worm/FSN Quest]

debating with her doesn't automatically mean she'll become a master you know. it might just add something in the story line plus think how this affect Armaster aka Colin if this case was given to Assasin's PHO

[X] Leave Canary behind

We came to evaluate a potential master, and found her wanting. There are other prospects.

a.) we have an incredibly limited time frame, which would be true, if anyone here had any idea we even existed. but as it stands, we probably have hours in here.
We are actually, if Ziz finds out "Taylor" is alive then it'll change targets to Brockton in a few days and if it doesn't then Leviathan will attack a few months after which will also inform Ziz of us if the Brockton and now New York Capes' memories don't tell Ziz when she's doing her brain scan/surgery/programing precog BS at Canberra which would change Leviathan's target to be "Taylor" alongside every parahuman there getting a semi-conscious "kill on site" order for "Taylor". judging from Angra being concerned with the Host's survival I assume it's possible to end this War prematurely by killing "Taylor". We literally have a time limit between a few days and three months because twenty world destroying weapons platforms with Mommy Issues blame "Taylor" for their Mommy Issues.

...Is it bad that I want to make Canary a Master, but unlike with other Masters where their Servants can help them grow, I want her Servant to tear her down and corrupt her?

Also, we came to NY to break her out. Can't we just drag her outside to a relatively safe place and then leave her?

She is already in a safe place.

Another thing you seems to misunderstand guys, this vote doesn't determine if we are going to make her a master or not. Probably the one after if we choose to debate with Canary. Let's make it worth it at least if she isn't convinced that's that and we leave. Here we just encountered a minor setback and you just shrugged and turned around.
Leaving now is not only wasting all of our efforts and it will delay the Master research by quite some time. We are in a time-limit right now, what with the Endbringers, Cauldron, Musashi and the PRT on our collective ass.

alot of people are under the impression that: a.) we have an incredibly limited time frame, which would be true, if anyone here had any idea we even existed. but as it stands, we probably have hours in here.
We do have a limited time frame though: How long until Eli is destroyed. So it's basically a choice of which character the readers would prefer to stick around for the long term: Eli or Canary.
and b.) that well have another chance after her conviction, which is highly unlikely, as we had to bring in eli-chan to to get her out now, we'll have to do even more later, when she's a convicted parahuman.
Except canon repeatedly showed (Or at least heavily implied) that it's much easier to bust someone out of a birdcage transport than it is to get them out of containment.

as i said: noone knows about us, so eli being destroyed isn't a time limit. and if eli is gonna die, it is already too late, as it isn't like she can run. moroever, not only does it seem like bb made her in a small amount of time out of boredom, meaning she could recreate her, bb most likely put in a fail safe to save her conciousness, just based on how she's treating her and referring to her.

The only reason Eli can't run is because she's acting as a distraction. Once she's gone, they'll be looking at the cameras again. Once we leave, so can she, and Eli can probably has some sort of smoke-bomb-ish weapon she can use to make an escape.

Also, the fact that BB made Eli out of boredom is a point against her returning, since making her a second time would be boring. She'd probably make something completely different, or do something unrelated to making a robot. And a remote back-up of something as complex as Eli is hard. Yes, Dragon does have systems that can do that, but there's enough leeway for the author to justify her being gone for good if he thinks it's more narratively appropriate.

Even if we convince Canary she wouldn't be a very motivated Master and that is assuming we manage to convince her which is far from guaranteed. Also as others have pointed out having a debate in the enemy stronghold isn't a good idea.

As some people have pointed out, yes, this choice does not determine if she is made into a Master. You can debate her, break down her faith in the legal system, and then not make her a Master, in which case she'd just break out on her own since we have a distraction going and security is down ("I'm not leaving with you, we are just going in the same direction"). After that she is probably a mostly non factor under the care of Dragon (and by extension BB). I had hoped my AN would have made that somewhat clear...

One of her planned options is a dominant yandere. No, not Kiyohime.

Anyways, I love seeing people having discussions about all this!

Holy shit Mecha Eli-chan! You went there!

Best Ruler!

Yeah, this is hopeless. No one is even considering nor reading the arguments. I'm not giving up but if the other option win(which is most likely right now)
What are the most interesting potential Masters in New York? Legend is part of Cauldron and I can't remember much about what kind of characters there is. Any ideas?

The adepts, the elite, and the teeth personally I'd like to get the butcher involved.

[X] Debate with Canary
I'd like to break her faith in they system while there's still enough time for her to escape, even if she doesn't become a Master.
Though I really want to make her a Master as well. Her or Dinah

I dont want to make her a master, but she's a good person in a shitty situation. We should help her out.
