Avatar: The Last Dicebender (A:TLA/A:LOK Quest)

Not the emperor, but the white lotus. Letting our sister visit us, shouldn't impact their resources in a significant way and they really prefer us to be cooperative.
Unfortunately, even if you are right, it'll still be very difficult to get Siph to the Fire Nation. It's on the other end of the map from the Earth Kingdom and she's going to be busy learning politics and how to lead the tribe, along with her bending training.

We hate them because we assumed they would instantly steal us from our family the moment they found us. With that bad first impression, well...it sticks.
Time to re-evaluate that opinion of them then, seeing as they didn't try that, and were ok with letting Tie stay with his family.

We chose to go with them.

Now then, people who voted for my plan, I must ask, what are your suggestions now that we have 7 CP? Because I plan on changing the plan but I want your input.
Well we really could use a charisma boost.

Aside from that these are by far the most interesting narrative options, but we can only afford one of them You have the dream of a red-eyed spirit and a man following after it, Huesar does something. That's all the detail you'll get.

What If: A World's Burden For A Child's Shoulders
Omake. 1050ish words.

The Avatar was someone that stood for the balance of the world. Someone that bridged the gap between both the Spirit and Human realms. All of that was what entailed the job of being the Avatar. Yet at the same time, the Avatar was human. A human who felt fear, awkwardness, doubt, and selfishness. More so a child who has barely lived his youth. And that the truth you stumbled upon during the haphazard unlocking of your Chakras.

You might have been the Avatar, savior of the world.Yet you were Tié as well, son of the tribe's leader and an eight year old who just so happened to be a bit too mature for his age. Avatar Aang had even been older than you are before his misadventures started! The darkness crawled and holed deeper into your heart, akin to a spider laying a nest for its brood. Breathing became impossible and the world around you slowly refused to make sense. Nothing but the thoughts of you carrying out your duties as the Avatar remained.

Of becoming a hero greater than all the Avatars before you, of having the entire world ride on your shoulders.

No. No, you were just Tié! Just normal Tié who wanted to go on adventures with his friends, to see what he wanted in the world, to just make his family happy and proud and not cry because he had to leave them. You did your greatest to try and wipe the tears that fell. Choked the sobs before they could come out. No, you had to get out of here. If they wanted the Avatar, they could wait for someone else. They could wait for the next one. The world was at peace anyway! No one needed the Avatar!

Besides, you still made a promise that you'd become a police officer in Republic City. Yeah, that's something that Tié would want to do. None of this stupid Avatar business. You're going to protect people the way you know how, and you'll make your parents proud. They'll smile and say congratulations, and you can even show it off to all your friends and you'd be better than the coolest guy in town!

Yeah, you could just borrow a real sand glider from the tribe. You promise to pay them back after you become a Police officer. And pack some food for the trip over the next town. A map. Extra clothes. And the next thing you knew, you had all your important stuff packed in a bag a size too big for you as you stood next to biggest Sand Slider they had in the tribe. Well, not really the biggest biggest but big enough that you can use it on your own.

You pulled on the kitchen knife you borrowed and tried to cut through the bindings. It was the work of minutes but it may as well have been hours with how hard your heart was beating. Your knees knocked against each other even as you climbed on board. It took more than a few breaths to get yourself under control. Along with a healthy dose of looking at the general direction of your house.

"I can do this." You told yourself. Reminded yourself that the Avatar stuff was all over your head. That adventure in the Spirit World was just a one-off. "Just, wind up your arms like you always do. Push the slider off and don't stop." A few more breaths and you felt your nerves steel themselves.

"I can do this." You told yourself.

"Yeah, you can." Someone replied and you nodded. "Yeah, I can! I'm a great bender! I can totally do this." You answered back, feeling some energy return to you. "So hey, where are we actually going?" That made you stop in thought, because you really only had a direction but not quite a place. So focused on the thought, you just turned around and came face to face with Hue-Sar.

Hue-Sar who was just lounging there, munching on a sandwich like it was the most normal thing in the world, with his own little bag over his shoulder. "You know, I don't know what humans do before leaving but I'm pretty sure standing just standing there...isn't it. You alright, Tié?" It took a few more moments for you to realize just what was happening, but your eyes practically jumped out of your face when the connection happened.

"H-huzzah?! Wh-what are you doing here?! No, more importantly, why are you here?!" You breathed more than said the words as that familiar feeling of the world not making sense came back at full force. In turn though, Hue-Sar just looked at you like you were the one stuck being a tree for how many centuries. Than he shrugged. "Cause we're friends?"

It was posed more as a question but to you, well, it didn't matter. You weren't sure if you were smiling or crying but what was completely fact was you hugging the humanity right out of Hue-Sar. The both of you stayed as such for minutes, your tiny arms wrapped around Hue-Sar, with the older-younger human-spirit friend just patted your head.

Not long after, with your emotional balance as balanced as it was gonna get for the next few years, you began to work the sails. You may not want to be the Avatar, but you sure as heck weren't going to waste what you knew. One swing turned into two, and two turned into four, four turned into you gliding past the tribe's docks and into the desert's dawn. You had your supplies, your ride, and a friend.

According to the legends, Avatar Aang even had less than this when he ran away. All he actually did was run away. Unlike him though, you actually had a plan and you weren't going to screw it up! With or without the use of a gigantic ball of ice! Because this wasn't going to be the path of what the world wanted, of what the Avatar should have been.

No, you reminded yourself. This was going to be your path, Tié's path, and no ancient spirit family tree could tell you otherwise!

Your writing keeps impressing me. +3 CP.

Uh guys why arent you boosting our stats with our cp every level up. This is the prime moment to do it. Levelling will become a lot harder later on and I wager we will have a lot more cookies to chase after at that point. Honestly all those failed stat checks are annoying considering we can boost our stats by a lot every level up. We can take the cookies later . Honestly how awesome do you think it will be to have achild have the strength and speed of a teenager or the wisdom and intelligence of grown men.

The average stats of an adult nonbender is around 12. Look at our character sheet. The only stat not like that is our Charisma.

So we left the Si Wong desert and abandoned our family? Great, just dandy even. All other long term plans just seem to always get pushed past even when super interesting. Vigilante avatar? Nope leave with white lotus. Coming back to our family to make desert life better, ha! Good luck when we are going to be constantly running missions for the White lotus to keep the "balance"

Of Those Left Behind
Omake. 1050-ish words.

Sand whipped past your cheek, not even a graze, before you rolled underneath the wave of sand you knew would come. It was the most important fight. The last fight to be had for how many years, and you could not afford to lose. Which was why you had to take it seriously. Your hands moved like water, and with them did the sand around you move. With more ferocity than grace did the element lash out at the enemy, your own whips striking true and trapping your target.

Bound and immobile, your opponent looked at you still with those ever calculating eyes. Always thinking. Always planning. "That's 2 to nothing, little brother." The smug in your smile could have fed the entirety of the tribe until the next Avatar arrived. Tié's mouth moved but instead of the surrender you wholly accepted, it came out as "Wake up, Siph!" Your smile faltered, brows joined, and a question on your lips when your little brother spoke up again.

"I said, wake up Siph!" There was thwack and you flinched back to face your tribe politics teacher. It didn't take long to connect the mark on your hand and the ruler your dad had. It sure hadn't taken him long to connect it either. "I know it's hard but you have to do this." You understood the words and what they meant, but it had been the same song and dance since your brother left. Things just...they weren't right. And your dad looked like he had enough of it too. Which was super weird because he was, like, the most patient guy you knew! You were sure that he could even out-patient a rock if he wanted to!

"I know, alright?! And I'm trying!" And it seems like you've had enough of it too. "I'm doing my best to learn all of this but I just can't!" A loud bang echoed in the room and you had to withdraw your hand as you tried stifling the small "Ow.". You were a big girl, you reminded yourself. And big girl's don't cry. Specially not in front of their dads! "It should be Tié doing this. This was, is! His thing!" Your lungs heaved as you screamed it to the world, but closer to your dad's face.

Hands curled into fists and you closed your eyes as hard as you can, forcing the tears to stop falling. They were staining both your dress and your pride! You braced yourself for the punishment you knew was coming. One you knew you deserved. So when all you felt was your dad patting your head and whispering words of comfort, all of the bravado you had just came away as tears. Stupid girly tears that you tried sniffing back so they could stop.

Not that any of it helped, because the next thing you knew was you sitting at the roof top with dad doing his best to do, well, do the sitting thing. Neither of you really said anything. Just looking at the horizon and wasting time. It was a lot like what you and your little brother used to do. It was nice, and it made you feel bit a better. Still, the whole thing had you curling your knees. A deep breath. There was something you had to get off your chest and dad looked like he was okay to actually listen this time. You steeled your nerves and opened your mouth.

"I wanted him to stay."

Only for your dad to take the words out of your mouth. "Avatar or not, he's still my son. I wanted to bring him gecko fishing at least once. Maybe even some scorpion turtle gathering." He laughed and it was so weird because you didn't even think that your dad knew how to laugh. "Though I'm sure your brother would have hated bringing the scorpion turtles away from their homes." You eventually got over your shock and your dad never looked as old as he did now.

You didn't want to look.

"Yeah." A breath. "I'm sure. Would've probably gotten mad at you too for even thinking about it." There was a chuckle somewhere there, you were sure. "I can see it already. Tié dragging his feet on the sand. Coming with all the dumbest ideas to try and not go. That's my little brother, alright." The smile on your face hardened into something a bit more genuine. "He'd probably laugh at me if he could see me now. Crying and complaining."

"Yeah, he probably would." Said your dad, and you couldn't help but roll your eyes. "Gee, thanks Dad. Where would I be if it wasn't for your support. Na na na, don't even start." Dad, thankfully, did not. And in turn, silence came back. Yet very much unlike the last one, this one made you feel at home. Secure, even. It was enough to remind you of your younger brother. Of how he'd just go quiet all of a sudden, but still made the world know just exactly what it was he was thinking.

"I miss him. Like, a whole lot." You didn't need to hear it to know your dad did too. "And I should probably stop whining. He beat me you know? Had a sand bending duel and all. Though I let him use his Avatar powers. It wouldn't have been a fight if he didn't. And I can't let my younger brother get a draw with his bigger, better, awesomer sister, right?" At that, your brittle smile turned brighter and you practically flew out of your seat as you stood up.

"You hear that, Tié! You better get better at bending so you can put up a fight next time! I won't go easy on you next time!" Each word was louder than the last, and you could feel your chest hurt from shouting to the Spirit World all the promises. Most of which included winning the next duel, and how he better eat his vegetables if he wanted to stop being a squirt. As your rant finally finished, your cheeks all red from the screaming, you threw yourself back to the roof to look at the sky.

Quiet and patient as ever, your dad merely ruffled your hair again.

"Thanks dad. I'm better now."

Your dad grinned, a joke ready, and somewhere in the far off distance, Tié felt both himself and the entire line of the Avatar cringe.

That's not how it works? Korra never ran missions for the White Lotus.
Korra never mastered airbending under the white losus and their for was not "ready" for all we know that since he death the white losus might have gotten at least a bit more paranoid since then and perhaps more controlling. Then again, that is just speculation on my part.

Edit: Changed Korea to Korra
