Vestige walks you through the special training, helping you expand your sixth sense beyond your former limits. First they teach you how to apply your NT Empathy to better your ability to shoot people, the other half of the training to use it to better hit people up close. After that comes the training to see through and defeat Hidden Hand and similar techniques, which is accompanied by Vestige sharing some interesting anecdotes of the psychic arms race that resulted in those techniques being made in the first place.

The training tires you quickly, but with your body as it is you have the strength to go further. The last technique Vestige teaches you is the ability to project your vision away from yourself in order to observe things as if you were standing in front of them while being aware of their position in relation to you. You spend half an hour wandering the streets of Genganam, walking beside its people in spirit as the lights begin to dim.

You are kicked out of the White Doll's cockpit once you return to your body, with a warning to practice so that you can send out and recall your vision instantly given to you by Vestige before they close the cockpit hatch behind you.

Loran has attained the following NT Perks: Pinpoint Vision, Third Eye, Remote Viewing!

[X] "How did you meet Kreis Kreuz?"
[X] "What was Kreis Kreuz like?"
[X] "What can you tell me about Ivory and her partner?"

"How did you meet Kreis Kreuz?" You ask, eager to break the ice.

Corin is the first to answer, jumping on the chance to change the subject. "Well, I first met Master Kreis after the Marimaia Coup failed. Ran into him at a bar I used spend the day at, and we started talking about how life was fucking us over. Then he started telling me the truth about himself." He laughs a little. "At first I thought he was spouting bullshit, but then he showed off his voodoo powers. Fast forward a couple of weeks where I had no idea what to do, and I am agreeing to hop into a stasis capsule to help him out after the world had been destroyed again."

Arisa steps up as Corin trails off. "I met Kreis about seven hundred thousand years ago, a few hundred years after I had died. The Turn A had just wiped the slate clean again, and Kreis was going through people he thought warranted the effort in order to figure out what went wrong. He contacted me while I was floating around on the other side wondering why we suddenly got a few dozen billion new additions, interviewed me for a bit, and then dismissed me." She shrugs. "I can't even remember what we were talking about."

"What was he like?" You ask, to little reaction as the two of them are lost in their memories. "What was Kreis Kreuz like?" You repeat, finally getting their attention.

This time it is Arisa that answers first. "If I had to describe him when we first met, I would have called him really, really driven. I spent the next few centuries talking to people who had met him throughout the cycles, and it seemed as if literally everything the man did was to destroy the Turn A." She hesitates. "He had a bit of a…breakdown, after the After Colony cycle, Corin's era, before he agreed to let us help him in the next."

"That's when he let me out of that capsule." Injects Corin, who sits down on his Leo's foot as he talks. "He seemed a lot calmer, less like he had Jupiter sitting on his back. Still talked a lot about the way things used to be and how much he missed it, no matter how much he had started to love us…"

You ask them another question before they have time to slip back into their memories. "What can you tell me about Ivory and her partner?"

Corin shrugs. "Never met her partner. Apparently he had some sort of infiltration posting up at Junno's place, so all his reports went through Ivory. As for her, I think she was brought back from some cycle."

"Garrod and Tiffa's cycle." Agrees Arisa. "Ivory's position was mostly to keep tabs on Junno's political opponents as part of Kreis' deal with her, but after they had a falling out Ivory started to keep tabs on Junno too. Still, I only saw her in passing. She mostly kept to people she knew in life."

The Borjarnaught shakes as a lance of yellow beam fire slices through a section of the dockyard. None of you hesitate, all three of you exploding into motion as you sprint towards your Mobile Suits. You are bringing the White Doll to its feet within the minute and quickly, yet carefully, you take it out of the Militia ship's hangar and onto the roof.

The White Doll's sensors reveal the same group that was searching the canal, or at least one just like it. The Mahiroo pilots are taking potshots at the area around the Borjarnaught while the Mobile Dolls hold their fire, wrecking large amounts of the dockyard and sending the workers into a rout (or into the next world, depending on how close they are to the beam). While a lot less careful than they should be, the Ghingham Fleet forces seem to be intent on avoiding too much collateral damage.

A moment after your observation the Borjarnaught begins to rumble underneath your feet, and soon enough it rises into the air in time to receive another attack run. The Mahiroos break off their attack the moment the White Doll detects their target locks, but you are too occupied with getting your allies to refrain from going on the offensive. Firing at the Ghingham Fleet from this angle will guarantee a horrendous civilian death toll.

Luckily the bridge crew of the Borjarnaught seems to realize this, for now that it is airborne it is making haste for the White Palace. Then again, they might have made their decision with the intent to use it as a shield, but you are not going to complain. What you are going to complain about is the fact that Gadget and her Gundam is here.

Her Mobile Suit is operating separately from any of the other Gingham Fleet forces, striding leisurely towards the palace with her massive mace resting on the Gundam's shoulder. Annoyance swells within you and yet, you cannot help but wonder at the small traces of regret you feel from her as she patrols the river alone.

When the Borjarnaught reaches the White Palace it lands nearby, crushing ancient trees and hedges under its landing gear and scaring the royal family's horses as the Ghingham Fleet force forms a perimeter around the palace.

On your side you have Corin and Arisa in their Leos, a pair of Luziannan Borjarnon-

Zaku IIs

-along with Sochie in her Qubeley and Miashei in her Kapool-

Capule.

"Quiet you." You mumble as you join the others in staring the attackers down, making sure to keep an eye on Gadget as she approaches. On a whim you contact her. "Are you by any chance completely insane?"

The response is immediate. "Fuck you, asshole! This was Sweatson's idea, I had nothing to do with this!"

:: Please don't fight here!::

You focus your sixth sense, as well as the White Doll's sensors, onto a patch of riverside where Ivory's alabaster head breaks the surface. Her telepathic voice rings through your head, along with that of all the other psychics in the area, you suspect.

::Fighting here will make everything worse. So please, go back to your ships and let these peace talks contin-::

"Lady Ivory."

Gadget, having reached Ivory, interrupts her with her Gundam's speakers as she makes her Mobile Suit kneel down. Ivory, for her part, just looks up at the Ghingham Fleet captain.

::Yes?::

DC 50-20(DHV Members)+100(The Dragon) = 24.

"I'm…I'm sorry." Gadget stutters before her Gundam shoots to its feet and readies its mace for a downward blow. "But the Dragon has marked you for death!"

Ivory uses telekinesis to propel herself down into the water, where the White Doll tells you a large metal object rests, avoiding the blow. You too leap into action, bringing the White Doll forward to challenge Gadget. She stops pursuing Ivory in favor of preparing to receive your charge.

You cannot shoot her, not here where there are friendlies or civilians in every direction. You will have to beat her in melee. Bringing anyone else along is similarly out of the question, Gadget would rip them apart before they could even scratch her if you did.

I'm not sure why we even vote for whether to use NT Empathy anymore it's such a no-brainer. TK strike because it'll work reasonably well on her MS. Psycho-Regen because getting hit by that thing HURTS and nothing other than TP Strike might be vaguely useful. TK barrier is just asking for feedback.

Not since you fully repaired the Lightwave shield. Now they only lose 2 Integrity each, which is a third of the Lightwave Shield and a fourth of the I-Field. Once the latter has been fully repaired they can operate at full Integrity even when both are active.
And this is a duel with Gadget, right?

Ok, still say we leave the I-Field off, she doesn't use beam weapons.

Also, in that case maxing the I-Field is now priority.
@veekie @Anime_Fan35 @Akasui
Why are you voting for TK barrier? It's got no armor save worth the name and no armor grade. Gadget will go through it like it's tissue paper which makes it much easier for her to set off Feedback and tire us out. TK strike has a 90% hit chance, and while it still has to deal with her Armor and possibly the Ahab Nanolaminate it's still a nice chunk of extra damage.

@Iceblocks
Stats for Sochie's new NT powers when?

Also, do Rend/Destroyer work with those, or does she have to pick between dropping NT Empathy, dropping her upgraded TK strike, or not using any of her new powers?

Does Deep Bond Level 2's "qualify for" clause mean that we don't get access to Sochie's new powers in Chorus and she doesn't get access to our lvl2 NT Empathy perks?

Here are the stats for the new NT Powers, along with a pair I forgot to stat.

Pyrokinetic Strike 1:

Psyco-Boost.
Psyco-Boost: +1 to Pioting Level per third NT Level. Only useable on units with Psycommu System.

Psyco-Aid.
Psyco-Aid: +1 Piloting Level per second NT Level when using NT Remote Weapons. Does not stack with Psycho-Boost.

Psyco-Hijack.
Psyco-Hijack: Initiates a Mental Attack upon the Target over the use of NT Remote Weapons.

Channeling.
Channeling: Call for help to someone on the other side. Bonus varies, but is almost always beneficial.

Heat & Electric Damage
Heat and Electric Damage:

Heat causes penalties to the pilot's Exhaustion rolls after it accumulates over a certain amount (based off Armor Grade).

Electric Stuns the Mobile Suit after it accumulates over a certain amount (based off Armor Grade).

I'm thinking Armor Grade times two, but if there are any questions I am ready to answer.

Speaking of questions:
@Iceblocks

Rend and Destroyer are TK Strike only. Pyro and Fulgur Strikes are more about their added effects than hitting as hard and often as TK Strike, though further NT Perks up the Telekinesis Tree might change that.

And yes, Deep Bond Level 2 requires you to have the lvl1 Perks (Rend and Destroyer in this case) yourself before you can access Sochie's lvl2 Perks. Likewise, if Sochie got Future Sight and Combat Clairvoyance she would have access to Shatterpoint Vision and Pinpoint Vision.

[] Side with Sochie.

[] Side with Dianna.

I'm only just now catching up and will try to vote when I have caught up but this was a horrible forced choice with no common sense. Honestly getting everything sorted would have been easy if they'd just gone with the excuse that Dianna and Kihel struck up a friendship and wished to have a meeting to talk about how both their peoples could find a peaceful resolution. We escort 'Kihel' to the meeting, they have a closed door meeting, and then we escort Kihel back home.

"Stand back!" You yell over the Militia's shared channel as you drive the White Doll forward, speeding through the air toward Gadget as she raises her massive mace for another blow. Her Pressure is filled with a conflicted mess of annoyance and relief when she notices you draw near. Ivory, for her part, keeps diving as fast as she can for the metal object at the bottom of the river that the White Doll's sensors detected.

Gadget is ready for you, lashing out with four punishing blows the moment you gen into range. None of them connect, but from experience you know that they would have really hurt if they had. She follows up with a flurry of blows from her tail, which you avoid, and a trio of telekinetic blasts that do nothing but rattle the White Doll

You ascend rapidly to resume your charge and crash down into her barrier with your spear held in a lance position. The barrier shatters from the piercing impact, but quickly reforms in a last-ditch effort to defend the Mobile Suit beneath. The two thrusts you follow up with are parried, as is an opportunistic slash from the White Doll's wrist blade.

An attempt to use the Shining Finger is thwarted by Gadget turning the White Doll's hand away by slamming the hilt of her mace into your Mobile Suit's wrist, leaving her in prime position to take some telekinetic blasts to the face. Three blasts strike true, but a sharp pain suddenly stabs you in the eye when you are about to unleash the fourth, making the last blast peter out along with a significant portion of the energies you channel.

Loran? Are you alright?

You push through the pain to reach further into the beyond, generating a brilliant green Psycho-Field around you as you prepare to create a Spatial Distortion. There is a significant chance of this attack killing Gadget, but-

The Psycho-Field slips through your fingers, leaving you with an instant of horror before you muster the entirety of your Pressure to contain the distortion, keep it from tearing into the White Doll. The strain is immense, as if you are lifting weights in a smoke-filled room.

At least Gadget is happy about things.

"You know…" She drawls out as she happily brings up her mace for a full-force blow to the White Doll's head. "I thought today was gonna suck, what with the Dragon ordering us to kill the Dark History Veterans and all, but not only did you prevent us from killing Master Ivory, you also got within arm's reach of me."

She giggles to herself before readying her blow. "NOW SAY GOODB-"

::STOP!::

Wait, that wasn't Ivory.

You turn your head towards the part of the cockpit that is displaying what happens behind you, carefully so as to not disrupt your control over the slowly dissipating Psycho-Field as the sound of whinnying reaches your ears.

Whinnying?

A white horse is galloping beside the river, worried yet determined Pressure radiating off it as it telepathically calls for its comrade.

::Ivory!::

Ivory's own telepathic shout is not far behind.

::This way!::

Her call is accompanied by a burst of water, revealing a black Mobile Suit covered in red metal plating that makes it appear like it is wearing a shroud. It is completely unlike the unit she brought with her the other day. A Mermaid Gundam, if Vestige is to be believed.

I am. That over there is a Master Gundam.

And that thing it is standing on…

The black Gundam is standing on top of some sort of platform, which hovers to the shore under its own power. A hatch opens in it the moment it had grounded itself, allowing the horse entry.

::I am here, Fuun Saiki! Become my legs as we fight together!::

The red shroud around the black Gundam opens up, revealing them to be wing binders as it leaps off the platform.

The dodai-esque thing, having closed its hatch after the horse entered it, rises into the air and…transforms.

Into a larger horse.

Which Ivory's Gundam lands sitting on.

"What."

::Be strong, Loran! We are coming!::

"Hold up." Mumbles Gadget, who has lowered her weapon while she watched the display. She looks to the wall behind the river that Ivory was hiding in, then back over her Gundam's shoulder to the Ghingham Fleet forces behind her. "Did nobody shoot her?"

There is a momentary wave of embarrassment from the besieging force, but it is wiped away as Ivory's Gundam and the Horse Mobile Suit…Mobile Armor…Mobile Weapon she is riding charges towards Gadget with the intent to save you.

The horse machine is surprisingly fast and maneuverable for something that makes no sense, unlike twenty meter tall humanoid war machines of death piloted by psychic supermen. Their clash with Gadget is hard to follow since most of your attention is towards the unstable, if gradually fading, surge of psychic energy, but you can tell that Gadget is having trouble hitting them thanks to the horse machine's speed. Speed that Ivory is making good use of, you note as her Gundam stands up in the saddle to make ride-by kicks at Gadget.

Not that it is smooth sailing for them. Most of their attacks miss or are deflected by the skill which Gadget pilots her Gundam, and even if Ivory and the horse manage to break Gadget's barrier and claw a chunk out of her Gundam's chest, the hits that Gadget does get in hit them like a freight train. The first blow, from her gigantic mace, makes Ivory's barrier flicker from the force of it and physically picks the two units up to toss them several meters backward. A thrust from her tail blade pops the barrier entirely, right in time for a telekinetic attack to smash the left side of the horse machine into scrap metal.

The fighters break away from each other after that extended clash, during which you finally manage to extinguish the runaway Psycho-Field. You are worn out form it, yes, but you still have the energy to step up beside the two animals to resume the battle with Gadget.

Who immediately slots her mace onto her back, Pressure signing with relief.

"Welp! Looks like that mission failed!" She chirps over the channel she opened before Ivory and the horse stepped in. "Guess I gotta withdraw now!"

"What?"

::What?::

::What?::

"Yep! The Dragon said I was to kill Master Ivory as part of a greater effort to get rid of all four of the DHV survivors, but with the situation as is…" Gadget trails off as the arms of her Gundam indicate you and the nearby Militia forces. "Much better to retreat rather than get myself killed for no reason on a mission I'd rather not even do. Toodles!"

…And now she is turning around and walking over to the Ghingham lines.
