Wait Imposibble difficulty shit we need to train up Whitemaneand Arthas for Res skill.

yeah...wait does tome of knowledge give a stat-boost to all of the stats?

because that would be good...also if were lucky we might do good enough to do a slow grinding-down on the undead, but we have to be careful and do not take unnecessary risks...because that's REAL bad for this shit.

also the fact we got the mages in the first turn to start helping the kingdoms means that the initial invasion of the burning legion might not be THAT bad, still bad, but lessening the damage , until they get the big units in.

look at the end of the chapter and just a bit before your post before the one i'm quoting here. That will tell you what the tome grants as well as what you got from it.

also remember you can change history by having Arthas not go evil. (though how much of history will change.... heh we will see.)

EDIT: welp exact numbers of the enemies i rolled up are looking good for you..... 10 necromancers, 12 abominations and 24 ghouls lol plus 64 skeleton warriors...... vs 16 footmen 8 priests 13 sorcs 4 riflemen 3 different captains Arthas and Jaina.

thats 116 undead in warcraft 3 population (not including skeletons.) vs 96 human population (including heroes but not captains. plus you got about 50 population worth helping you out ;)

hmm need more guns...

also get more people, because undead can do DPS via numbers, unless we have Arthas do tactic: BUBBLE SHEILD OF VENGENCE! combined with blizzard, and once its near popping or dropping arthas bugs out to our line of foot-men, which get healed by priests and sorcs target largest concentrations of undead without hitting our boys.

our riflemen need to hit targets of opportunity, such as the spell-casters or abominations...

unless we can find some extra gun-powder barrels and set up a trap for the undead to hopefully cut down their numbers permanently. best way to destroy the abominations.

other way is to get some extra foot-men and gear everyone up in better armor so they can survive the damn blows, the undead will turn this into a war of attrition so we need to be able to survive whatever blows they come up with.

also have we discovered the wonders of blunderbuss? because if so we could have a sort of 4-riflemen/blunderbuss men go to the front to shoot a single wave of the shot-guns into the first line and then fall back while our foot-men brace for impact. arthas could do emergency healing when the priests are to tired and need a short break, and to keep our boys alive while we hit the spell-casters with a blizzard and then send two water-elementals to keep them busy.

in this case when we first meet the abomination have 2 water-elementals keep it tied up while having the sorcs' try to damage it as much as possible, the persists to keep our men alive, arthas to do the bubble shield, and jaina keep an eye on the line to make sure the ghouls don't try to go around our guys...remember this isn't a Warcraft 3 map where the woods are almost impassible, we need to be sure were not walking into a ambush.

yes we can never have enough dakka

why did you think I said we need more guns?

EVEN BETTER IF WE MAKE THE GUNS RUN ON MAGIC!!!

can you think of it?!? never have to reload again! just shoot, shoot, and more shooting! heck even make it so the guns can make either a single bullet or multi spread attack (half range half damage...but its 3-4 units in front of the guy...perfect for undead!)

Well im pretty sure were gonna have enough anti-undead units once we get the Mograines and Whitemane trained up aswell as getting most of the Scarlet Crusade still be silverhand but we are gonna need some Mobility/Stealth units for operations. Maybe Nathanos Marris could be possible and he is less of an ass in Human form. As for guns i think gilneas will have us covered
Have them make this

you forget, in cannon Gilneas ditches the alliance in this war. It would take some hefty changes to avoid that.

though Kul'tiras or ironforge could probably cover your guns.... the tech needed for machine guns is only known to gnomes in truth.

A true true the buggers there walls. Gotta find a solution for that but damn there stubborn. Dwarves well seems like were gonna need to go to northrend to save ol Muradin too. On the subject of the Gnomes the brave little buggers didn't bother asking for aid against the troggs since burning legion was prioritized. I wonder if we can beat down the troggs before BL gets too large. Then again the NE and OH are gonna be duking it out with eachother while we focus on saving the world

okay people we need to prioritize things, saving people from the scourge is first (long-term benefits only, short-term never works out well)

and if we can get the dwarves on our side without them spilling their secrets on arms and armor, until they trust us enough we could get smiths REALLY get going on the awesome legendary smithing operations. plus we could end up with the gnomes on our side to the point where blunderbuss could become proper-shot-guns and some chain guns really.

Well right now we have Whitemane who in a few years of training becomes a very very powerful priest. She also knows the Mograines so we could probably get Alexandros to come in the pretense to pick up a friends kid. Then have Alex suggest to use the naruu core to forge the ashbringer gives as ultimate anti unead weapon and1 strong paladin and few years have Darion and Whitemane as units. So lots of Anti Undead stuff from that. If we help the gnomes out we get to double our forces and get machine guns And mechs. And if we manage to get Nathanos Marris we have a lvl10 Ranger that can scout for us aswell as train units in archery stealth since guns are very loud and recon is very important Also Sylvanas listens to Nathanos so High Elves might send more than a token force. Problem is if subvert arthas from goin to northrend Muradin (I see thrrough you san the lich king willhave a smaller hit box how dastardly) could become the lichking. Also getting Jaina to be Queen of Lorderon does have benefits

we should get more paladins and have VENGENCE BUBBLE SHEILD WALL tactic. combined with FIRE!!! ICE!!! and WHATEVER THE HECK OTHER PEOPLE USE BUT MORE FIRE AND ICE!

Lets get the alexandros abbendis saidan arthas uther and other silverhand generals for shield wall with kaelthad his father jaina the other six of dalaran and High Elf magisters there must be enough fire and ice with that.
Opnion on Nathanos pickup @RandomDwarf

ok your rushing ahead just a tad bit.... might be a bit better to think of the here and now lol :p

still viable tactic!!!

besides this is impossible mode...we should be cheesing the system any-damn-way we can, milking every benefit and dealing every little detail with a fine comb, otherwise this is 40k ending nightmare-trip through the warp without Gellar-field's on bullshit impossible.

edit: that's still a viable idea for boss-fights!!!

also pick up moral stuff, were going to need it!

I highly doubt some of these will succeed but having many paths open is better than trying to open ones when we don't have any for right now best tactic we can do is prevent arths from turning DK and Well making Ashbringer faster since it was made during the time Muradin was presumed dead. I believe with uther and terenas's help we can get it faster.
Edit:What are NE and OH doing btw san

lol dude only this Chapter is at that level of difficulty, the next chapter is going to be a bit easier and the one after that even easier :D (barring you guys taking a massive time in the base lol.)

Oh....

oh...

I feel silly now. sorry for the crazy bit, thought we were doing the ENTIRE campaign on impossible mode here, considering we will have to build fast and hard now...save as many people as possible and build watch-points to frog-jump to and from as a way to resupply and get more troops.

edit: Plan Ashbringer!! find a way to get the Ashbringer as quickly as possible, bless it heavily with the light, and then have it burn as many undead as possible!

question: do our own soldiers level up themselves? also what are the chances of making anti-undead measures against this plague...can we have our mage-people study it to see what contaminates it? possible be able to find a way to detect those are infected, and if possible reverse it or slow it down until we can solve the issue?

could we potentially save that city as much as possible? I mean we should send word of warning to check the crates of the grain supplies ahead of time and to see which ones are infected and such.

also I remember a mission where we had to defend against the undead until uthor arrived with reinforcements...could we possible send word to the villages around the area to migrate to the stronghold and reinforce it more so that we can save as many as possible?

no lol difficulty is based on how much time you give your enemies to build up much like real life warfare ;)

so while you can get stronger yourself and make yourself seemingly OP at the same time your enemies will do the same

ok i'm just going to put this out here............ there are no FUCKING WORDS that i can use to describe how lucky your rolls were in this battle...... literally no fucking words..... your enemies pretty much rolled the perfect combination of good and bad rolls to prevent them from doing any damage to you while keeping them there to be attacked by you, and while you had a couple of crappy rolls none of it was significant enough to prevent the MASSIVE impact of the 3 crits you rolled plus all the other good rolls..... heck even one of the crappy rolls you made a 25 on a d100 to determine how many of your ranged troops tried to attack the fleeing enemies left just enough so that the roll afterwards a 76 on a d100 was JUST enough to wipe them out completely leaving the rest of your ranged troops to continue attacking the enemies that did not flee....... right now i have yet to even roll a single combat/war stat roll.... and you have almost completely fking WIPED out the undead force....:mad::mad::mad::mad:

next battle will be harder as a result but jesus you guys are lucky!

Turn will be up no later than 2-3pm EST

Mahhahah
Get Whitemane Call the Mograine Get the Ashbringer End the scourge while we are on a roll.

Chapter 1, turn 6: Saving lives and new information.
After a VERY short discussion of how to proceed Arthas charges into their flank ready to cast divine shield once they start attacking him while all the ranged forces get close enough to attack and prepare to unleash hell upon the undead before them. The footmen and Captains Falric and Marwyn begining to charge in after Arthas once he reaches the halfway mark between the ranged troops and the enemy.

The necromancers leading the undead group notice Arthas just a bit after the footmen start charging and they try to rally their forces to deal with this new threat. However with the focus on the enemies ahead of them and the mortar rounds raining down on their forces as well as the dispel magics going off on the skeleton warriors they fail to get much of a response until Arthas is nearly upon them. Once the undead respond a bit less than ninety percent of their forces move to engage Arthas and the approaching footmen though because so many of them responded they get fairly entangled and bunch up a lot more than they were before.

Next Jaina and all the ranged troops and casters with her start to unload everything they can into the ranks of the undead throwing empowered blizzards, dispel magics, arcane missiles, and plenty of bullets by the dozens at them. Arthas also uses divine shield to keep himself safe from this bombardment. This combined with the mortar rounds bullets and dispel magics from the regions defense forces kills off dozens of undead, wiping out all the skeleton warriors killing all but a handful (8) of the ghouls butchering half of the necromancers and even downing two of the Abominations.

Then the footmen with the two captains leading them crash into the scattered undead, sadly they focus their attack on the abominations which prove more than resilient enough to absorb it though they still deal a fair bit of damage to them cutting off some of the corpses that make them up and the two captains even take a limb off of the abominations they attack.

These attacks devastate the undeads moral however and the necromancers upon realizing how many of the undead were just re-killed and how half of them were dead immediately flee and the ghouls while they hold for a few moments swiftly follow the necromancers, However the abominations manage to hold their ground despite everything that happened. While they flee though Jaina calls for the troops under her command to finish them off though only Captain David, and 4 of the sorcerers actually respond and attack the fleeing undead with her. However this proves more than enough as with an empowered blizzard she is able to wipe out the remaining ghouls and even kill a couple of the necromancer while the captain snipes another one and the four sorcerers are able to pick off two more finishing off the fleeing undead completely.

"We have reinforcements men charge in to aid them!" the sergeant in charge of the regional defence force orders. With the order given the footmen from the defense force then charge in and hit the remaining abominations in the back while they are focused on their current attackers. Thanks to that they are able to wound two more abominations fairly heavily. The abominations counterattack and while they fail to outright kill anyone they do severely wound nearly a dozen of their attackers with sweeping chops of their giant cleavers either cutting deeply into their armor or simply denting it and bruising or breaking bones from the sheer weight and force of their attacks.

Finally the remaining sorcerers and the riflemen on from both armies start to pick off the abominations finishing off all of the six wounded ones. The abominations finally realizing how screwed they were attempt to flee once and for all however The footmen, captains and Arthas stay on their heels and quickly fell two more of the abominations as their backs are turned with Arthas smashing his hammer into the second ones back breaking its spine and then on the backswing he smashes its head turning it to pulp and splattering it everywhere as it is forced between the unyielding ground and the unstoppable force of Lights Vengeance.

As the rest of the abominations continue to flee Jaina summons a level two water elemental into their path to stop them as the sorcerers unleash a barrage of fireballs, frostbolts and other magical attacks to supplement the rifleman's bullets ending the life of yet another abomination under their combined barrage. The Water elemental Jaina summoned blocks the final abomination from fleeing, grasping it with its watery limbs and preventing it from moving allowing the two mortar teams to land a pair of direct hits first blowing off its left arm and then the 2nd round caused its head, neck and part of its torso to splatter everywhere. As the water elemental releases its broken corpse it falls to the ground with a final thud signaling to everyone that the battle is ended and the survivors of the regional defence force are saved.

Small Timeskip

After Jaina and all the troops join the defence force and Arthas on the ground and they finish burning all the corpses to ash. Our heroes Arthas and Jaina begin to sort out what happened to the region with the remaining officers of the defence force.

"Thank you for saving us Prince Arthas, but why are you here?" "It was nothing, I was not about to allow so many of my people to die in such a brutal way. As for why I am here, I am escorting and aiding Lady Jaina Proudmoore on her mission for the Kirin Tor. She was told to investigate the plague in the region." "Well m'lord then your in luck, we are all that are left from the several villages in the area. The plague turns anyone infected into undead we saved the few that we could, met up with these dwarves and priests and then tried to get away together. However as you can see we were caught and had to hold up here so we could have a chance of fighting them off. If not for you my lord we would likely have been slaughtered."

"I see so the plague truly is magical in origin and is designed to turn people into undead.... but why? That is all that is missing here who caused this and why are they doing this. We will have to continue forward to find out." Jaina states as Arthas and the officers finish talking. "Given how dangerous the region is now, would you all like to come with us? We will likely find safety in numbers." "Indeed my lady, however if you wish to look further into who is behind this 'plague of undeath' then we came from the next village ahead and there was a powerful necromancer there according to our priests. Perhaps he is some kind of leader of the others?" "Hmm, either way it is likely our best lead. Well then, since you are coming with us get the villagers and troops with you ready to move understood?" "Yes Mage Proudmoore, however many of the villagers and a few of my troops have different levels of injury and our priests are low on mana. This is on top of the sheer exhaustion we all feel which I am sure more than a few of your own troops share. It may be best if we rest up here for a little bit just to get rid of the worst of the exhaustion and treat the worst wounds before moving on. Though this does risk the enemy realizing something is wrong and preparing for us."

Vote time!!!

[] Wait and rest up. Troops are all at full mana and HP for next battle will not have negative roll modifiers from exhaustion (this only applies to ambushes and things before the main stages of combat start.) However enemies will be more prepared for your coming, likely with several traps and more enemies to deal with possibly even resulting in the leader leaving the area for safety.

[] Go to fight the enemy right away. Footmen will have only 3/4 of their HP and spellcasters including Jaina and Arthas will have half mana (rounding up) your troops will also have a small negative modifier to all rolls before the main stages of combat start. However the enemy will be unprepared for you and likely think everything is fine in the area making ambush easier and lowering their defenses greatly.

Turn ends here

welp there you guys go the 6th turn of this chapter. Not much to vote on sadly but the vote is fairly straightforward with no real 'bad' options. Also only 1 more battle and a couple more turns before you guys get a base :D ;) :D so yay for that.
