[X] The first D-Herman Corporation job. 15,000 and 75% medical coverage. (Difficulty : Medium)
[X] Republic of Marroll. You'll get better options for a Zoid to start with and be able to stand out more if you survive until the 'cavalry' arrives. In exchange for this sampling of the spotlight, you'll have to deal with more attention and a lot more enemy fire.
[X] See if you can get an early look at the auction hall. Might be worth seeing what else will be put up for sale there and whether there is anyone you'll have to worry about bidding against.

So if we did succeed in buying the evil shiny, it will corrupt us right?

[X] Head back to your hotel and get an early dinner or late lunch there. You'll probably be able to find more of your fellow discount pilots to talk shop with.

only thing I will say about the choices is that we probably don't want to take a job more difficult then medium for the showcase round since we'll be fined if we take to long in the hospital.

God, we went full on elder gods and demons here, didn't we? Wonderful. This whole place probably needs to be burned to the ground.

Please tell me that we're not going to be dealing with Mass Effect Reapers...

Something came, and it joined with the Deathsaurer. A moon fell. And it's interesting that there's something there about fearing the stalking tiger more than the reptile. Do they seriously have artifacts from an original Mad Thunder and the freaking Deathsaurer itself in the same room? Are they insane? And what was that about "the enemy's taint" having spread all over Zi already?

Changed my vote to the second D-Herman corp job. If I'm right, that's probably actually the Liger Zero, since they're known to be a lot pickier than the Shadow Fox. The Shadow Fox is more about having a pilot that can handle the Gs it can pull with its evasive maneuvering, rather than wanting a pilot with some specific traits that are known only to the Zoid.

@veekie - Close but not 100% right.

You're not. The Mass Effect Reapers plot would start to go outside of the scope of Planet Zi. A little bit of hint on what is going yon with the two ???s...

They kind of relate to what was the Earth that humans left and came to Planet Zi from (and what might of come with them). You really haven't gotten any real clues on this yet.

Unless things go wildly off the rails, only a couple of planets matter for this quest and you're not going to be going on intergalactic adventures.

Yeah, given some of the content that was made obvious. I think it was the pieces and cores of the dead Zoids speaking when we looked at each of them. As for what else it could be... Battle Star Galactica and the Cylons?

Oh, I get it. The humans are aliens that came to Zi after something drove them off world. They got into a war with the natives, which were zoidians, and then whatever chased the humans off Earth followed them here. Given some of what the cores said, the humans enslaved the zoidians to make them fight off their enemy, and possibly enhanced some Zoids using their own technology. The fighting got completely out of control and somehow resulted in a moon fall, and in the resulting disaster what was left of humanity and the zoidians forget pretty much all that history. It also seems like what was killing humanity was destroyed, or was satisfied with the final death total and left.

Right now the crossovers could be anything, but it looks like their's two other series with minor roles to play. It's nearly impossible to say which though, not nearly enough information to go on. I do hope one of them has some real freaky biogaints for us to fight, I've got Resident Evil on the brain.

[x] It is still a bit early in the day for it, but there are probably some festivities going on and bars that are open early. Try and find one to relax.

I'm glad we got to see those old Zoid cores. I have a soft spot for the King Gojulas and the Descat, so it was cool to see them referenced.

[X] Guylos Union. You'll start with a large number of allies so odds are you aren't going to be targeted right off the bat. You won't have much to worry about until the 'cavalry' arrives and doing well then could be even more impressive.

Oh @Pheist, quick question. Does Nova remember what the bidding starts at for the doohickey she wants?

Right. That is something that should probably know. Starting price is $7000. That price and starting prices on everything else in the auction will be in next update assuming that things don't swing away from going to the auction. Theoretically everything (except tournament which had lowest starting but best cap on what could make) is guaranteed to give you that ignoring any medical fees or other expenses that come up.

Edit : Also going to call vote in roughly 24 hours.
