You know, this is a weird random thought, but I made a joke and then it got me thinking.

What, either as a Mage or I suppose Changeling could work too, would it take to create Circe's Metaphorical Curse?

Like, the talk was, "Our mom was named after Circle, when will we be able to turn men into swine?"

And then I said, "That doesn't take much magic, does it?"

So, what level of Mind and other stuff would it take to make a normal person (male or female despite the joke) act temporarily like a rude asshole? Some sort of temporary morality drop, or some mental compulsions or memories or the like? It'd be useful if you wanted a rival to make an ass of themselves, for one.

Mind 2 - Emotional Urging - should be able to get someone to act in a piggish and boorish manner.

Obvious answer is Sorcerer Path Shapeshifting at 5 dots for maximum Circe.
(Sorcerer Path Shapeshifting at 4 dots for just 1/2 swine transformation)
Bit of effort and lack of morals you could leave victim with lots of a pig's mentality and mindset.
Why bother with Metaphorical Curse when you could recreate actual curse?

Now, someone who understands Werewolf 2e a little better (this is a passage from the PDF of it I bought), what does this part mean?

"When in Basu-Im, a werewolf suffers rage as though in Gauru, but everyone is a victim except other werewolves in Basu-Im. He will happily attack packmates, especially Wolf-Blooded and humans, until they join him or die. If no prey presents itself, he'll cause property damage until he can find fresh meat."

Like, does this mean in terms of non-Werewolf packmates and their getting-mauled potential?

Packmates who are werewolves or wolfbloded capable of going Basu-Im are safe from his attacks once they, too, are raging. Other packmates had better run.

I am looking into sorcery enchanting one-time-favor-background-candles.

A colored candle that grants the user some one-time favor after it is burned (two points of Resources, Arcane, Allies or Influence, depending on the color of the candle). The Background works once to provide a favor, then fades. Each success creates one candle.

Single light Resources (••) Candle already is getting you $8000 cash
What are hilarious fun backgrounds to make candles for?
(even if effect only lasts single encounter or scene)

Requisition/Confidential Files (••) Candle [Hunter's Hunted 2]: Agency mission files, and the like.
-Who isn't needing two dots worth of classified information?

Requisition/Phone Tap (••) Candle [Hunter's Hunted 2]: A junior agent, monitoring the activity on a single phone line or cellphone and reporting suspicious activity.
- Getting a phone tapped for a day might be useful?

Requisition/Raid/Apartment Raid (••) Candle [Hunter's Hunted 2]: A squad of police armed with shotguns, submachine guns, and flash-bang grenades, able to seize an apartment or brownstone.
-Light a candle to bring SWAT on your enemies?

Armory (••) Candle [Hunter The Reckoning/ Hunter's Hunted 2] – Enough legal weapons to outfit a street gang of 10 men.
-Gearing up quickly and without fuss or hassle?

Library (••) Candle [Most World of Darkness]: Research difficulty reduced by 2
-So you're just stumbling into a modest library what if you're in the woods?

Mob (••) Candle [Inquisition] - a mob of four people
-Quick and easy small mob ready to fight your enemies?

Fame (••) Candle [Most World of Darkness] – oh god we can finally bottle fame!

Influence (••) Candle [Most World of Darkness] – we can magically boost influence!

How about commissioning a Sorcerer to help you boost supernatural backgrounds elsewhere? :p
Vampire might occasionally need additional temporary Herd?
Werewolf might occasionally need additional temporary Fetish?
Mage might occasionally need additional temporary Arcane?
Changeling might occasionally need temporary additional Retinue?
Imbued might occasionally need temporary boots in their Stronghold?

Watching Stan Against Evil made me realize that that is the show that really encaptulates the tone I want to run my chronicles with.

Also update on my session;

  1. Aeodaghan (SPELLING MORE THAN LIKELY INCORRECT) the Scottish Scrapper. Fianna, Ragabash, Homid
  2. Vadim Ras Putin the Accidental Father of London Russian Mafya. Iron Rider, Theurge, Homid
  3. Jimmyward 'Bone Break Biggs' Slogan (pronounced Slaw-Gin)/Might-of-the-Moon, The Wolf Enforcer. Bone Gnawer, Ahroun, Lupus
  4. As of yet, Unnamed, Iron Rider Tomboy from Mexico whos been kicked out of every boarding and catholic school in the whole of North America. Homid, Ahroun
  5. Potential 5th player. Jimmywards player wants to bring her in. Says he pitched the game to her and that shes actually interested in to it. Do not know her personally. Do not know her gaming history. Do not know anything other than Jimmywards players is a little into her and that she works at a local gamestore. Should I be worried?

If you can't trust employees at your local gamestore who can you trust?

Forgot to mention its a Vidya store, not Tabletop.

I mean, ive asked the rest of the group and they all said theyre fine. Im just not sure about New Girl. At least with Vadim's player ive spoken with him via discord a lot and gotten to know him. Im pretty sure ive been nothing but the epitome of awkward around New Girl in the past.

Nah. The entire Old World of Darkness was built on trying to get into girls' pants. Like, 2/3s of the guys who played V:TM weren't there for the vampire roleplaying at all.

I know that. Thats how my cousins met their first boyfriends.

Even though Jimmywards player says he wont act on his IRL feelins through his character, i am incertain about having her in because of that, my aforementioned awkwardness around her (no feelings towards her, already have a gf im head over heels for) and my inexperiance as a gm.

Just dunno what can of worms im openig up y'know?
