Interesting, though for me I was very iffy on some of the Requiem 1e powers and the like, but it'd at least be an interesting thing to be tried out and all. Making it too big, though, that's a problem.

Like, V:TR and Changeling and others allowed...my own thought was that instead of trying to run it like an RP with tons of players, you should try to make a party of some type (perhaps multi-splat) and just run that.

Adding more players would just slow things down.

Fair point, I'm thinking then just sticking to 1e Requiem and focus on a single coterie most likely belonging to one covenant.

One covenant is pretty limited, though, isn't it?

Edit: Now I'm actually curious how much interest there would be in some sort of Play-by-post RP? Now, I probably have too much going on, but I'm willing to at least toy with the idea. Anyone potentially interested? (Not that I'm going to try to compete with Paulie Romanov for players, just throwing out the question there).

I like Changeling, 2e Vamp, and could probably be convinced of Mage as well.

...oh, though I really need to get back to Omicron and Estro at some point.

It's so hard to find time for hours of Chat STing. :(

True, but I was thinking along those lines so we could play up covenant rivalries. But again, this is the earliest stages of planning, so I may end up allowing a multiple covenant coterie.

Also, keep in mind that in my games, the Strix and the God-Machine do not exist. Clan Julii was merely an earlier iteration of Clan Ventrue.

If I ran a 1e nWoD/CofD chronicle on this forum, would anyone be interested?

I would certainly be interested in that.

PbP would certainly be interesting to me

Actually, what splats/books/stuff do you actually know about?
Changeling is the only one I really know well, and even then I don't own the books unfortunately, though almost the entirety of the mechanics is available online. But I could probably familiarize myself with just about any system in short order given that the mechanics for every system is available online.

Hmm, well, that's one potential player. I'd have to gauge interest. Right now a lot of people aren't particularly jumping, at least not in thread, so not sure! I'd like to think Play By Post is more forgiving than some form of chat-room thing.

(Changeling and 2e Vamp and maybe Mage are my things.)

I'd be willing to play a changeling game... :V

Might as well make that 3-4 since I'm interested as well.

Are you familiar with 2e Werewolf?

No idea, but you might find this interesting if you didn't know about already.

No, it's something I always thought I should probably check out, but I keep on not doing it.

However, @Malkavian , I'm willing to be sold/unsold on it by anyone who wants to come along and make arguments at me.

Fine with play by post, don't see it getting too horrendously messed up besides being slightly slower and giving people time to work out phrasing to their advantage on Pledges.

Huh, so, just curious: how much do you know about Changeling, and if you do know some about it, what sorts of stories/campaigns do you like/what do you like most about Changeling? I mean, any of the nwod Splats can be made to play very weird/different things. You can play spy games in Vamp, or political thriller, or gangland serial, or all sorts of things.

Changeling, similarly, is very open, and so knowing the *kinds* of stories that people like is often very good.

I will shank an as of yet undetermined number of old ladies for a chance at a Changeling game.

Surprise Twist: one of these old ladies is a True Fae, who beats the crap out of you and sics her gang of old ladies on you.

worth it

(No but seriously I love C:tL stuff and have been kinda creepily peering through the rear window of nWoD's house for awhile now and going through it's garbage splatbooks, I'd be uncomfortably happy at having a chance to actually play. :V)

I am taking a old rock with iron ore in it which deals agrevated damage to her and she can't use contracts against me hitting her with it.

She screams, "Help, help, murderer!"

And then a strapping British Police-Officer appears from nowhere and gives a crooked-tooth smile before saying, "You're nicked, chum!"

My suggestion: Say "It's a fair cop, I admit" and then try to escape from prison.

One of the housemates is this weird nudist, another is a wiccan, yet another is this goth who cuts herself, and, would you believe it, one of them is a fairy! My word, and I thought ours was a quiet and polite neighborhood, not the sort to have THOSE PEOPLE in it.
