Shepard Quest Mk V, Base of Operations (ME/MCU)

@Esbilon

So, it occurred to me...won't the voting be all fucked up? Doesn't the program tallying mean what having [?] UberJJK will refer back to his vote?

The mako votes should probably be edited to:
[?] IFV - UberJJK/Madfish

...what the fuck are you talking about? You can do that normally, you didn't magically gain more muscle.

Yeah, and that is a stupid way of thinking about it - we use our muscles at full capacity. The fact that their physical design could theoretically be better is irrelevant.

To help people with planning for company stuff I've made a copy of the Finance doc that you guys can just edit to your hearts content to test out the math.

For instance I've plugged in us building three new Factory 3s which leaves us with at least 6 billion. Given how much profit we make on these new Arc Reactors that's almost certain to go up.

Here is the original quote:
Lytek's Memo said:
Copied straight from the Yu Shan source book. Basically he pulled a Watchmen "35 minutes ago"

On 7 Ascending Water, 764, Lytek sent the following
message directly to Chejop Kejak, with copies
delivered to every divisional head in Yu-Shan: "It is

my very great pleasure to inform you that the Solar
Exalted have returned."

That message set off a firestorm in Yu-Shan that has
not abated since. When Kejak sent emissaries to Lytek's
offices to find out exactly what he meant by this terse
yet remarkable statement, they first had to get past the
eight celestial lions and two lesser elemental dragons
who had been reassigned to guard both the Right Hand
of Power's offices and his person. Making it abundantly
clear that protocol would never again trump security
where Exaltation was concerned, the guardians refused
to allow the emissaries to enter Lytek's office until they
consented to a thorough and invasive search of their
persons. Only then were they allowed inside, where Lytek
was only too happy to inform them that the majority of
the Solar Essences had begun reincarnating earlier that
year. Lytek also said: "Of course, I would have told Kejak
sooner, but, in accordance with my duties, I wanted to
first make certain that all of the Exaltations were polished
up and properly reinserted into Creation."
Yeah, announced a Year later after they were all out, had the Eldest Sidereal strip searched, and then topped it with a 'Just doing my Job'.

Like I said, most badass memo in Creation, short sweet, and pants browning.
Wait. He was polishing the Exaltions for a year..then releasing them and a short while after that he send that memo to Kejop?
Basically the 150 that the Deathlords didn't get returned to his office in 763. He did his job of cleaning out old memories, polishing up important ones, and released them all back into the world. After the last left he sent the Memo.

The guards were for the fact that during the Usurpation, Kejop and a few Sidereals assaulted him in his office and intercepted the Shards so they could put them in the Jade Prison. This was him giving those who participated the finger.
Shouldn't have the Sidereals, who keep watch over Fate, noticed, just as the first of the Solar Exaltions were entering their hosts, that something is totally scrwewing with Fate..lik that dude that should have died trying to protect that village from monsters but survived and then proceeded to kill 100+ Raksha's.
Considering Sol sends messages to ever one who gets one he probably had the Maidens run interference. Right hand this is left hand how you doing?

[x] Letter of the law. Produce 50,000 Arc Reactors for the Citadel market. Let Lindsey handle the rest of your available production capabilities.

You have several design floating around. Which one do you actually bring?
[x] UberJJK

How do you approach the end (or is it?) of your first relationship.
[X] Long-term relationship. Also? Look into inventing better communications and teleportation. Are you a genius or not? As if such trivi a l things as hundreds of lightyears of space could stop you from speaking to peolle you like.
--[X] Before he leaves, however, enjoy the last of your physical time together. Have a (private) party! Have fun! And then encourage him to find himself in the wider galaxy.

Spare time (pick two)
[x] Headhunt a research hero (this will not necessarily come into fruition immediately).
[x] Look into starting a Private Military Company.

Other Company Stuff:
[x] Build 3 Factory III's in each of Mindoir's other cities (total: 6), and upgrade the Factory I and II in Landing to Factory III's as well (total: 2). Total Cost: ~9 Billion, ~3 Billion left
[x] Begin to look into expanding Paragon Industries beyond Mindoir. Specifically, conctac the government/administration of Elysium about constructing production and research facilities on their planet.
-[x] - Here might go instruction about starting the construction of new R&D facilities on Elysium

Research
[X] Peak Human (212/400) - 40d10
[X] Frigates (400) - 60d10+120
[x] Mk II Suit (500) (40d10+40) (Overflow)

How much would it cost to add Arc Reactors in the other settlements on the planet along with the factories?

Personally I think frigates are quite too early to be researched. We don't have even the space dock even started.
can't start it until we have frigates researched.

I would like to point out is it really long distance when we can just hop in a ship and go visit him?
Even if it's just a few hours back and forth, that's a huge time commitment for someone as busy as Revy. As well, I doubt he'd be able to get free time when in bootcamp / deployed to X.

Awesome. Did you add the +50 bonus we just got?

[X] IFV - UberJJK

[X] Write-in: Produce as many Arc Reactors as you can this and next turn to finish off your limit as fast as possible to leave Production for mass producing your IFV for the Alliance.

[X] Long distance. It never always works in the movies!

[X] AI Licensing Preparation (800) - 40d10+40

Seems okay to me.

Exactly what are you trying to say? It's been made pretty clear why what you are proposing is nonsense, those articles don't support your position.
we are NOT constantly using our full strength and our brains regulate that we can't reach our full strength as our skeletal system can't take the forces.

back in 1934 when they came up with electro convulsive treatment/therapy patients muscles would regularly break bones or disconnect from the skeleton because the electric stimulation would bypass our body's safeguards.

@Datakim

About the biotics thing...we are Shepard, presumably we have her biotic node distribution. Doesn't mean we have that much of an advantage though, the real edge in biotics comes from skill/experience.

...and what do you want to do about that? We have overhauled THE ENTIRE SYSTEM, why would a targeted modification removing our fine motor control in exchange for brute strength the system isn't designed to handle be worth anything at all?

[x] Ask your mother to help you set up an expansive training-regimen; fitness, hand-to-hand and ranged combat, piloting your suit, etc. Hopefully this should give you a more comprehensive skillset than the patchwork training you've done until now.

This is kinda drifting off topic, since we already have an established tech tree and this specific fix is probably included in one or another of them.

That being said, People usually don't stop exerting their muscles because they can't push harder. They usually stop because it hurts to push farther. Depending on your health, training, bone density, etc, you can push past that pain right up to where you start seriously injuring yourself.

Awesome. Did you add the +50 bonus we just got?

Done.

Fun fact; Humanity has a population around 12 to 13 billion given Earths 11.3 billion and that most it's oldest colonies only seem to have a couple million.

So going with 12 billion at 3% service rate means roughly 360,000,000 people have serviced in the Alliance at any given time.

Now if we assume that 12 billion is spread evenly over the full 150 years a human lives that means each year 80,000,000 turn 18. Three percent of that is 2,400,000 so roughly that many people enroll every year.

The update says most people only stay in for a few years. Lets go with 5 years since IIRC the normal military contract is roughly four years with lifers dragging the average up.

That gives the Alliance a standing military force of roughly 12,000,000. Of course some of these will be support staff but I imagine the percentage is a lot lower then modern militaries thanks to VIs.

[x] All out. Produce every last arc reactor you can. Everyone wants them, everyone is willing to pay a premium, and it's not like the Alliance can't buy them on the open market if they want to keep ahead. Plus, you'll fulfil your quota ahead of time this way.
-[x] Increase the profit margin to our standard amount. (So sell them for 2.5x cost.)
[x] IFV - UberJJK

Research!
[X] Peak Human (212/400)(30d10+55) (98.08%)
[x] Improved Warhead (150):(30d10+10) (98.83%)
[x] Frigates (400) (70d10+55) (95.40%)
[x] Mk II Suit (500) (10d10+10) (Overflow)

Building stuff:
[x] Break ground on 6 Factory IIIs, elsewhere on mindoir
[x] Upgrade our Factory I and our factory II to Factory IIIs

Copied from before we got +50 for getting a reference, i believe? So the research may be a little off.

Update
Finance

->I've updated the Finance doc with a new contract representing our minimum 50k Arc Reactors at 250k each the Citadel has imposed on us. Since we are required to meet at least this threshold I figure it more accurately reflects our economic situation and should help prevent over booking our production.

Made some alterations to my plan.

Reasonings:
- our production capacity is currently fairly limited and we'll still need to produce some IFVs most likely, so for now we should stick to the letter of the agreement with the Citadel. Once we have our new factories up and running, we can sell as many Arc Reactors as we want.
- while Brian is nice, I doubt trying to maintain a relationship at this point will work. He will be extremely busy for the next year or so, with little chance of any extended interaction. Trying to keep up a romantic relationship might very well stress it to the point of breaking, which could cost Revy one of her few friends.
Better to make a clean break, and then stay friends afterwards.
- JJK's design just strikes me as the more sensible
- getting a research hero would be incredibly useful, if time consuming
- establishing our PMC early means more time to grow without people being wary, and there are plenty of ways we can use it even without access to ships
- using our currently available amount of money to fully max out our groundside production capabilities on Mindoir, and possibly building new laboratories and/or factories on Elysium. This means we'll be able to rake in truly humongous amounts of money soon.
It also needs more security, hence the hiring
- Peak Human should be a given that we just started it. Frigate should be another no-brainer, because it allows us to start building orbital shipyards, and begin revolutionizing shipping and transportation across Alliance space. The MK II suit, meanwhile, will greatly improve our personal survivability, and also give us experience with suits that include our new technologies, from the Advanced Materials and Repulsors.

-[x] Search for someone with experience in Shielding/Barrier technology, in hopes that we might be able to design shields that can protect against DEWs.

-[x] If we can, begin construction of a full set of normal and Basic Research laboratories (Lab I-III; 620 million + Basic Research Lab I-III; 620 million) as well as a Factory III (1 billion) on Elysium. (total; 2,24 billion; ~600 million left). Additionally, construct Barracks and an Administration building as well.
--[x] If we cannot (yet) build laboratories on other planets, build a second Factory III on Elysium, instead of the research facilities.
[x] Hire an additional 20 Security Teams on Mindoir to protect the facilities under construction in the other cities. Keep their equipment at normal hardsuits and smallarms for now, to be upgraded to Legionaries later.
-[x] If our expansion on Elysium goes through, hire another 5 Security Teams to be stationed there, likewise keeping their equipment at hardsuits and smallarms for now.
