Shepard Quest Mk V, Base of Operations (ME/MCU)

Technically they need an implant in their head - the amp is something that is attached afterwards, and can be swapped out. Then there are armors that sync with the external amp to further boost power...our Biotic Armor would do that, even better.

Then we could also go one step further with it and have the armour tuned to a single user, to boost their abilities and increase the cool down rate even more.

Unless arc reactors were severely nerfed while I wasn't looking, our power generation can only be desrcibed as sufficient at this point. One industrial scale reactor produces around as much power as the whole planetary interior heat flux (that is, heat from the planetary core). At this point the only question is how to move that power. Something I think being addressed by advanced materials.

The ones we have only pump out 50TW, we didn't have the materials to make one that pumps out 150TW.

Technically, we should have enough money coming in a couple of quarters to research a second generation Industial Arc Reactor,
but considering the other stuff that keep on happening, it might get put off....

Then of course, it becomes a question of 'what do we use the entire energy output of a planet for'?

Earth's interior heat flux is estimated at 44 TW.

And, well, shields. And likely eezo synthesis. And I have some (hopefully) interesting ideas with black holes and wormholes.

The main problem is energy transfer. Because I, for one, have zero idea of how to move such amounts of power. Not by cables, certainly. As plasma or electromagnetic waves maybe?

So....you are saying that ME2 makes you hunt the entire galaxy to get rare elements...to deactivate safety features and perform tuning which Shepard could have got...if he/she basically joined up with the Alliance offically?

....Damn you, Bioware.
No, it makes you hunt the galaxy and collect nonsense as a game mechanic, xP

Seriously though, the tuning is probably available to special forces and the like - just probably not worth the effort to implement on a grand scale.

[X] Plan Seeding Greatness

Genetic Enhancement
[X] We need to make some recoup on our investment but we should distribute our advances (Patented of course) so that no parent has to suffer a child born crippled by something we can cure
-[X] Provide free treatment to cure genetic disease in children
-[X] Undercut the market but not severely on other applications

To File or not to File
[X] File. Let them see what we can do, and let them then shut up and give us their money.
-[X] But have your people go over any changes in Citadel patent law first. Hire a specialist if needs be.

Business
[X] Set up an arena in Landing where everyone can play your new game safely
-[X] Incorporate a broadcast energy field and activation key in the arena so people can't be hurt by using there figures (Which we need a good name for) in public.
-[X] Set up training arenas with different terrain from boxing rings to mountains
--[X] It can be called Paragon Layer
--[X] We're doing a lot with Mum but perhaps Dad would like to be involved with this? He did play 40k games with us before and we seem to have drifted apart

Research
[X] Advanced Fire Control VI (400)
60d10 + 120 = 98.85% chance of completion
[X] Advanced Black boxing/FRM (439/800)
60d10 + 70 = 96.21 % chance of completion
[X] Peak Human (400)

(Reasoning explained on next page)

Spare time (pick two)
[X] Have your own advanced implant installed (Parastorm, a nod to the past and ourselves as well as it's capabilities).
-[X] Ask if Rahna would be willing to be hired as your tutor for you
[X] Spend time with family and Brian.
-[X] Hellish as it was fighting to beat Mum's challenges with Brian was fun, maybe you can do some more of that
--[X] Bring some of what you've learned to the Security Teams training

Did we invent anime style yugioh? Because that's what I'm thinking when I see these arena plans.

I assume advanced fire control is for the tank?

I'm not against it, but I said it before and will repeat it again: mark 2s make tanks obsolete for anything but total war, with planetary sieges and such.

Also, if we are making tanks, we should look into BOLOs.

First off It's not a tank. It might be able to utterly own tanks but it's not a tank. The Tiger is an IFV, Infantry Fighting Vehicle. It's job is to rapidly and safely move troops around the battlefield.

Secondly I doubt we'll be releasing the Mark 2 for a couple more years, in which time the Tiger would be drawing in up to (assuming we sell at maximum production) close to fifty billion a year.

Thirdly the AFC is used for a ton of things. First off it gives our suits, IFVs and practically anything else we have automated point defense systems.

Secondly, and more importantly IMHO, it lets things operated autonomously. So instead of sending Alliance soldiers into a hot zone they could send a bunch of suits operated by the VI to clear out enemy forces. Or for enemy worlds deploy hundreds of Tigers from orbit and have them clear out a beachhead.

Advanced Fire Control is really useful. Especially if the Alliance ends up going to war with the Batarians, I really hope they do.

Not really? I mean It takes 2 of our 40TW Arc Reactors to power an Everest Class Dreadnaught's main gun.

This is unbearably picky , but while you are at it, mind making "Gen II Arc Reactor" and "Generation III Arc Reactor" match? That has been bugging me for ages.

Done. That's a relic from me just copying the text from the original tech tree.

[x] Building Better Babies. Distribute your new procedures as widely as you can, making Humanity stronger, faster, smarter and prettier. Also pissing off the companies that are making a killing doing this for the rich and powerful.

Don't really see the point to be honest - it is a whole separate business endeavor. It can be done of course (Armax Arsenal Arena in game comes to mind), but we might as well spend that time more productively right now. Hell, a PMC would be more productive than that right now.

Seriously? I can only assume thst the reactors work at less than one percent output each, and it's the cabling that's the issue. Because that makes ZERO sense. Seriosuly, if it was so... How the hell did they power the ships in canon? And where was all this energy going?

Diversification. To make money there are dozens of niches we can get a toe in it also spreads the company name in a way that doesn't just say 'Merchant of Death'

It's the part of that from a PR point of view that I'm suggesting making sure our gene therapy is available to sick kids as cheaply as possible.

Good PR and the larger our consumer base the more weight we have to through behind any initiatives or political issues we take stances on.

No that's assuming almost 100% efficiency from our Reactors to the maingun.

Everest Class Dreadnaught's main gun fires a projectile with 38 kilotons of kinetic energy every two seconds.

38 kilotons = 158,992,000,000,000 joules = ~159TJ

Power = 159TJ / 2 seconds = 79.5TW

As for how they powered it in canon? I'm guessing lots and lots of fusion reactors.

You know, when we do get around to building our own shipyard and working on the various ship classes, I feel that I should point out that there is Corvettes in the Mass Effect universe that are effectively large fighters.

"HUH!. You activate my trap card, "biotic warp!"."

"But you see. Once your "biotic warp" is activated. Your turn is finish. Leaving you vulnerable to my counter attack. Sacrificing half of my life points and some Vorcha cards. I activate "KROGAN SMASH!!!"

We need Factory 3 ready first I think. And you are right, we should start making it, if only to make several beam satellites which we "loan" to Alliance for planetary defence and automatic miners to clean up the asteroid belt.

You know what would be amazing PR? An affordable, reliable PMC protecting colonies that the Alliance can't. We saved Mindoir, build off that and spread our rep out into the Traverse and beyond. No fucking Batarian slaver has ever snatched people from their homes off a colony we were protecting. It has the added benefit of giving us our own private army, and taking missions from the Alliance and Council and gaining political power that way, as well as gaining influence in the Terminus. Heading off shitty companies like the Blue Suns from getting legitimate work and thus power is an added bonus.

Gene therapy being wildly available is a given.

I would have thought more people would have got my inspiration from the name, I wasn't being subtle.....

Still a Holographic and Software based game would be quite possible too and there's no reason the Arena's couldn't be 'Duel' function.

You are completely neglecting the effect if mass lowering fields which are the only things that make those guns possible. When the projectile is accelerated, it's lighter. Like, at least a hundred times lighter. This means it's kinetic energy for a given speed is that much smaller. So, divide your calcs by the mass effect mass lowering coefficient.

Otherwise it just doesn't work, at all.

And it would take tens of thousands of fusion reactors to power the gun otherwise.

EDIT: this was extensively discussed in one of the previous threads of this quest. This exact issue.

We do have a Factory III, as for shipwrighting I am thinking of a mix Turians and Quarians on staff, with proper security measures taken obviously, because if you are going to be building ships who better to ask then the experts?

I don't disagree, though it's a very different kind of PR. But for some reason it's a Spare Time Action Rather than a business related one of which we have lawyers for.

Ok, adding this into my Business Plan and see if Esbilon objects;

[ ] Have our lawyers look into the requirements and permits required to form a PMC using our Alliance Contacts if they'd be advantageous.

Also adding in

Tetsorou's L2 Inititive

The Super-Genius who massively outclasses all the experts. Also, people who won't take our tech home with them. I like Quarians, but they earned their bad rep with more than just creating the Geth.
