It depends on how barriers work - by mass shift somehow or by creating a strong repelling force.
I believe in the books it's repelling force.

From the codex...so strong repelling force I guess?Kinetic barriers are repulsive mass effect fields projected from tiny emitters. These shields safely deflect small objects traveling at rapid velocities.
You seem to have included an excessive number of significant digits. Also, it should be noted that a lot of the available research dice have bonuses tied directly to them; every 10 dice gets +10 from VIs, Researchers +5 from morale and generally being good fellas, Revy gets -10 from Conrad, etc. If this could be incorporated, that'd be cool.@Esbilon any comments on the dice system so I can make this thing better?
In principle an "inverted" barrier thst repels everything from inside the suit back in would make the suit's internal sounds completely confined. That would leave the problem of reflecred sound... That would be better if it was dissipated instead... it might work, maybe.
Ok, sure in the morning I'll do a complete rehaul. You seem to have included an excessive number of significant digits. Excellent, my vote using you as a proxy is after that vote, so I don't need to post something thats mostly useless.
Too late.Excellent, my vote using you as a proxy is after that vote, so I don't need to post something thats mostly useless.
Wait a minute....

Yup. Pretty sure almost everyone has switched to Peak Human though, since the lasers were really only worth it if we could get them by next turn. Can we also ask/hire someone to start investigating a couple locations for a second facility? It seems like local governments would jump at having us set up on their planet, so we should be having someone feeling out the politicians to know which well offer us what sort of deal.
I think we're planning to expand to Elysium next. It's a major commerce and travel hub and has a large enough alien population to start spreading our stuff through Council space. And that decision has nothing at all to do with wanting to see the look on the raiders faces when the Skyllian Blitz starts and they realize they're up against the woman who damn near singlehandedly shut down the attack on Mindoir with something she built in a cave. Except this time she's got bleeding edge tech.Changing vote to kelenas so I don't have to keep updating it.
[x] Kelenas
I think the only things up for contention are peak human vs micro lasers and the patent question, right?

That sounds fun.I like the idea of funding the xenonarchaeological expedition just on the off-chance it gives a solid warning. Anyone else feel like founding an Illuminati-esque organization dedicated to preparing the galactic community for cyborg space squid invasion?
Butterflies are a real concern, yeah...but nothing we have done should impact the Blitz. Events after the skirmishes in the Verge that it set off, definitely, since those will change in light of the new tech available...but the Blitz itself should be unchanged at this point.Regarding Elysium, Saren, and whatnot:
At what point should we start worrying about butterflies? About the only future even we can be sure of ooc is the Reapers. The specifics of anything else are up for debate.
Because if we do that, then it looks like we're holding the implant hostage to force biotics to work with us.Why not offer cheaper or just free implants to people who are suffering but they have to be cleared and work for us?
An army of Biotics both happy and motivated to work for us. Either as security or as our own private merc Army.
We can use them to hunt down the slaver that still prey on others and could use the PR..
The upgrade to humanity should be both free for all and show how awesome we are. Use it to push our Brand Name out, make a big show about it. Wanna be on the news big time. Maybe use it to grab other scientists or just to push our agenda..
That sounds fun.
Though it all depends on what Liara finds.
Heh, we'll call our secret conspiracy that is preparing the galaxy for the upcoming Reaper invasion...
Renegade.

Elysium was attacked without any major Alliance presence present (...man that looks awkward). It was a natural result of the Alliance's increased interference in the Verge. Our tech should increase the Alliance's success, and with it, the backlash. Remember, it was sold as a smash and grab on a poorly defended (which Elysium technically was) but wealthy colony - I don't see why that wouldn't happen here. Hell, it should be even larger since there will be more resentment towards the Alliance.Uh the Blitz? That's like 4 years in the future and would you a pirate lord really want to attack the guys with the murder suits? (And the flying doom IFVs, some laser death frigates, etc?) 'Cause by that time the SA is gonna have some hella nice stuff.
Navigator Pressly claims that the pirate ships were no match for the Alliance: he couldn't even keep track of how many ships the Agincourt destroyed. The ground teams had a much harder fight, but still managed to hold out for several hours. When reinforcements finally arrived, the enemy turned tail and fled in what vessels they had left.
Bah.They would have won if resistance on the ground (not any actual garrison, but civilians and marines on leave) hadn't been unusually stiff.
...humanity's colonization policy really fucking sucks.
